Probably the most underrated song from the game, the surf theme was so melodic and brilliantly written that I had to cover it. It used a lot of really interesting chromatic harmonies and slides that I thought it would be interesting and fun to play on guitar. It was a real challenge in some parts though. I've been doing modulations a lot lately and thought I'd put a bit more effort into the transition between keys, and I kind of liked how it sounded. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with how this one came out, and I hope you guys are too! :)

I think the funniest part about this song is that hardly anyone ever heard the entire thing in game.
Seriously, if you are actually playing the game you get through maybe the intro and the first 2 iterations of the A melody before a tentacool appears.
I think the first time I ever heard the second half of the melody was because I put the gameboy down to do something else for a minute.

I've played this on repeat in my earbuds during a Pokemon Go event, while riding a taxi boat from Chicago's Museum Campus to Navy Pier. It makes for an awesome experience

The first 10 seconds are so well done. Some of the best 10 seconds in all your videos. Love how it starts so powerful, then drops to the basic melody.
