He was really brave guy crossing Atlantic totally alone with the medium raft. Food wasnt the huge problem coz Atlantic was still full of fishes.. He also succesfully collected rain water. The main problem were other animals and a huge navigation mistake he made. The book about the voyage is someway really funny, very human.
Where did you get this information from? All information I could find about his death, including articles in Wikipedia and The New York Times, have no mention about suicide or his troubled love life. Besides, he died in 2005 at 80 years old, seems highly unlikely for a man to commit suicide after a broken heart at 80 years old. What is the source of your claim?
He had big balls
respect!
One of the most interesting persons of XXth century
The reality is different : On Friday October 3, 1958, Alain Bombard arrived at Étel to test his life raft in bad conditions. Nine men perish
He is super man in this world

What does this have to do with his trip? It was a completely different occasion. How does this "change reality"? Reality of what?
Sajnos a nőkkel nem tudott megbirkózni, csak az óceánnal. Öngyilkos lett.
Nem tudtam! Szomorú...
