I neverplayed UO, was alive but too young. So this helps me a lot since I am not familiar at all with the UI and the likes that would have been common knowledge for gamers that generation.

Chose this over outlander because I’ll rage quit the first time I get ganked, lol. Been over 20 years since I took steps in uo. Stayed up way past my bedtime last night and can’t wait to finish this shift and be bad at uo again 😂
UOR was a nice t2a shard but same problem and with dwindling population it was just no fun. And recalling / horses in dungeons just flat out ruined it. Full pvp dont work on low pop shards.
Hi, nice tutorial. FOr the razor auto looting gold part. I did set it up and it work 50% of the time. DO you have any clue why i does not auto loot on body all the time? I did set up everything like you
I do know it can be a little wonky, you have to stand right on top of the corpse. Some thing you might try is on razor enhanced under options there is a checkbox for auto-queue object delay, actions. I like to check that and put object delay at 200 MS. That gives the game a chance to catch up otherwise it might skip actions. Edit: did some testing on another macro and I would set MS to 600.

I might try this shard. Been on many. One question is plate / metal armor useless and poibtless like on some other shards. I spent my UO days mining and smithing so need to wear plate lol.
Hey there, from my understanding the plate armor is the same as on live with the innate bonus to stamina loss reduction. As far as I know, the info on UOGuide is correct for UOAlive server. www.uoguide.com/Armor
@TrilliumUO so do people use metal armor. I noticed your character was a paladin but in leather. To me thats meh. I would expect a sword and board character to wesr plate or its just immersion breaking to me.
I just remember is the past in UO that plate reduced you dex by like 20 which made everyone not use it. Once they realized the penalty outweighed the benefit. Always thought that was just dumb
I will definitely think about it! If its your very first character on the server I would still go with Paladin to get the gold you need to get a LRC suit for your mage! 😁
I haven't played in years. My question is this. Is the farming and the building the same? I loved it. No game has anything like it. I loved how we can build our own furniture like it was real. Cutting trees down was actually fun. And do forget the mining. O those monsters sometimes they would come out and terrorize the towns. The only issue I had about the game back in the day was the slow fighting sequences and the fact the game was too small. It was easy to get to the final boss and then there was nothing left to do but build, be chased by monsters and we had to remember to lock our doors. LOL
I am new to UO and opted for Outlands as it seems to be by far the most populated shard. I am also drawn to the shards more true to the original, as I never played it back in the day. At the same time, the nostalgia aspect is not there for me, another reason I may as well play Outlands. So many to choose from. What are some differences between Alive and Outlands except for the map?
Outlands has pvp, which means other people can kill you and steal from you. It also has a lot of really cool custom content and skills, and I think the whole map is different. UOalive is strictly PVE but follows the official game updates. Just depends on what play style you like.
Well I opt for Outlands also I like pvp and how the freedom to kill and steal is also what made UO great. What originally ruined the game long ago is when they implanted trammel then everything went to shit. Otherwise is will be another MMO where the reward far out weighs the risk. UOR is a t2a shard with full pvp. But it dont work as well as you will remember as the population really dont support it. I tried to convince them to do a wipe and maybe regular ones more like a Rust server. But all thw hardcore really wanted to collect bound sandles and fill castles full of rare decorative loot. I think it could have worked.

I am just getting into UO and made a char on Outlands and enjoying it so far. Would you recommend changing over to Alive? For me it seems like it has more practical functionalities and not getting ganked by PKers would be a bonus too imo.
I used to play on outlands, and while it is a fantastic server, for me, the PK and stealing just took the joy out of my playtime. I totally understand that some people love the excitement of that type of play but for me I love that at UO Alive I can play the game without distrusting everyone I meet😂. It’s the least toxic server I’ve ever been on.
How's the population of Alive? I stopped paying for a sub to play OSI for years now. I've been actively playing as a F2P player on Lake Superior, but I'm tired of the limits.
This has to be one of the best introductions to a game I've ever seen. I very recently discovered UOAlive and haven't played UO in years, so I really enjoyed the refresher and tutorial on all of the new features. Thanks!

Hello, I joined the server a couple of days ago and immediately found you. Nice videos. It would be cool if you could do a tutorial on how to raise taming with macros, I'm kind of lost, I do it on the open where everything runs away. Surely some other people will be lost too. These guides helped me alot! Thank you! Edit: Also, something that would be cool is a fly by of those macros "all kill" "bank guards" etc. And what keys people use. 🙂
3w ago but best way to do taming on most shards is to buy animals from tamer and release them. The same toon cannot gain taming from them but you CAN use another one. You can also do this with multiple tamers and I req skill goes up each Previous Owner up to 6 times. So you can buy black bears for a few hundred. Release. Tame with toon #1, release Tame with toon #2. But you can only do once per toon. Still way faster than running around.

That would be EQ (Everquest). Most people I knew who tried UO left almost immediately because of the rampant griefing and PKers.

I thought you could make custom macros in Razor but I don't see that tab that I am used to..has it changed to the Scripting tab or something?
Yeah, razor enhanced is different, it relies more on scripting. There is a record button in the scripting window, though.

I think there’s Arenas and consensual guild PVP. But no ganking or stealing from other players.

Yes, there’s plant growing and there are custom houses now. And you can still make your own furniture and chop trees and mine!

Is this server P2W or something? What's the deal with Ultima Store? And bank vaults? and stuff like that...also items that you buy from it
the store takes sovereigns, which you can get from achievements and britcoin (ingame currencies), not money. It absolutely is not pay to win

It is very active, there’s always stuff going on. Especially if you get on Discord to see what events or IDOCs are active

If you installed it with the all in one launcher. It should just come up when you start the game, and be in your taskbar.
