The fruit cage looks great, Hugh is right that you’d never guess it wasn’t purpose designed as a fruit cage. Also it’s really refreshing how honest you were about the labour involved, it was hard graft and you didn’t cut it down to 10 seconds of fluff! Thanks again for another great video
Here you go - they are road pins, brilliant for temporary fences, securing bean tripods in wind and as powerful stakes amzn.to/3wWOr1n (link to our affiliate shop)

Thank you so much :-)
That's sweet. We've got a massive old frame in the allotment that we think about covering with netting every year but never actually get round to it.
I've seen it in your lockdown videos - imagine the currants & raspberries thst you could grow!
Key question which doesn’t seem to have been asked. Where did you get the frames from? Thanks in advance 😁
Hi John, originally they were basic polytunnels - this type

We have a gazebo frame and scaffold net as a fruit cage, cheap and has been up for three years so far.
Brilliant! What a great idea. That will look so much better than my polytunnel frame and net!
This will be helpful if I ever need to hide some plants from my hens!
Very true, keeps domestic birds off as well as wild!
Amazing.. thanks again for a great video...
How can I find those

Do you get your wood shavings from a specific brand or place, because I’ve been looking around for some recently. Thank you!
These are the ones we use

Sorry sent by mistake
Meant to ask about those long pins you used to stabilise the frame to the ground

Thanks a lot
Totally know the feeling lost so much to birds
Absolutely, we have to net all soft fruit
@@EnglishCountryLife us too and beans
@@ThatBritishHomestead Never gad an issue with beans, but early pea shoots are pigeon magnets.
@@EnglishCountryLife not did I till this year!!!
Seems it would have been much less work to plant the currants inside the hoop cages in their original position!
I very much doubt that they would grow well when shaded out by trees in dry soil amongst tree roots.
