Buenavista Golf is situated in the extreme North-Western corner of Tenerife, close to the spectacular Teno mountain range. The new course was designed by the legendary Seve Ballesteros, who is extremely proud of the project. Since its opening in 2003, Buenavista has emerged as a real favourite for golfing visitors to Tenerife, with a number of truly amazing holes.

From the championship tee markers, Seve's creation measures 6,582 yards, but with the coastal location and proximity of the mountains, the coastal winds can play havoc with club selection and judging distance.
Known for its dramatic location and scenery, it’s the perfect spot to talk to the boys about what they think are the world’s most beautiful golf courses.
Most beautiful golf course ever-Royal Dornoch
Would LOVE to have a crack at that one...looks unreal!
Scenery helps with the memories when it’s all over and you’re looking back at a great course set in great scenery on stunning locations
Yuuup! Good for team pics too! ;-)
Good stuff rory
Cheers Gary bruh.
Scenery plays a big part in a golf course
Agreed Vincent. Most of the best courses we've played boast pretty spectacular locations. Location is a pretty good foundation for a top design etc.
A lovely view from the balcony Rory and a great looking course and hotel. I played Francis bay golf course in the eastern cape South Africa and it had fabulous views of the sea and a great setting so yes I like lovely scenery. Another great video Rory.
Yes it's a great spot! Very much recommended, especially so when you consider the value for money! Crazy cheap for a 5* hotel and a very cool golf course.
Scenery is as important as course condition and a balanced challenge. Enough reward and risk options, nice short par 3s and true greens. My fave all-time courses (not travelled much) are (in no particular order), Porthmadog (North Wales), Trentham Gardens (Stoke on Trent), Prestonfield (Edinburgh) and Handsworth (Birmingham).. could you please do trip / tour and review of Cyprus .. I’ll join you if you need a hand 🤚
Porthmadog is a stunner we agree on that one! Haven't played the others but will have to keep an eye out for them!
Remedy oak is one that I love! I have played it a few times to varying success! Some under some over but the scenery as well as condition just makes it enjoyable however you play!
Great course I'm with you on that one Jon!
Rory man...you've some job!
It's OK. ;-)
I'm a bit of a garden nerd 🤓 🌿 so I would enjoy beautiful scenery even though I haven't been on a golf holiday yet 👍 👍 👍
Not been on a golf holiday yet?? Sort it out Mitch! ;-)
@@yourgolftravel I am struggling to get by at the moment but hopefully soon, I will be looking at all your different packages when I go 👍
Definitely agree on layout but, I would rather play an average course with awesome scenery than an average course with nothing else 🤪⛳️👍
Good point!
Personally I would have to go for Lofoten Links as the most beautiful and spectacular golf course I've played so far. Combined with midnight golf and very comfortable cabin accommodation it's hard to beat.
Wow...jealous! That place looks insane!
Across the pond so, Ocean Course-Kiawah, Camelback, Troon North, come to mind. Some of the mountain courses here in NC are just spectacular. Cliffs at Glassy, vistas are amazing, Love your stuff....
LOVE the Ocean Course at Kiawah...been very lucky to have played it a couple of times this year and can't wait to go back one day! Which courses in NC would you recommend Terry?
Carambola on St. Croix may be the most exotic and beautiful place I have ever played. But maybe Lofoten Links i Norway could be the most dramatic course i would love to visit and play in the midnight sun.
YES Lars! I'm with you on the Lofoten thing...would LOVE to play there.
IMHO scenery is a big factor in enjoyment of a golf course, particularly for a visitor. However, it does not compensate for bad course design or poor maintenance. My nominee for most spectacular scenery is Old Head Golf Links.
Would LOVE to play at Old Head. Fair few in the YGT office who rate it as the best they've played!
Most beautiful? Bali, Indonesia Handara course in the mountains 🏔👍⛳️🏌️♂️
Had to Google it but WOW!
Your Golf Travel yes it’s spectacular 🏌️♂️⛳️
Uk Dornoch....then Sadiat beach....and West Cliffs
Would love to play all three!
Just shows you though you don't have to travel to USA and the likes to feel as if your playing in heaven !
True...USA has an embarrassment of riches re golf courses but there are tonnes of spectacular options closer to home too!
Askernish beats them all
It does look pretty special!
Course and conditioning if I'm on, scenery if I'm not.
Haha makes sense Rob!
If a course is surrounded by houses I don’t enjoy it as much. Scenery helps but doesn’t make a course. I’ve played some very bland courses right on the ocean but I’ve also played some fantastic courses that used the terrain to maximize the design.
Yeh all makes sense! Totally agree with your last point...it's no coincidence that most of the world's best courses (certainly the ones we've played) are set in pretty epic locations.
Most beautiful? The one I'm standing on! LOL. Golf courses are like women. They're all beautiful in their own way. JM2C
Haha fair enough!
