I wish I could have seen a few more seasons of him. If things had gone just a little bit differently he would have an undeniable Hall of Fame career, if he doesn't already. I hope this beautiful man never has back pain for the rest of his life.
If the Sedins made it in and Alfie, you’d think Hank would as well. Conn smyth, cup, triple gold club. His stats don’t wow you, but he was among the best defensive forwards year after year. Between his bad back and the Wings going into a rebuild for the last several years of his career, it might hurt his chances to be in The HoF.
Awesome interview. Great to hear Hank talk about his development and experiences as a Swedish hockey player. Carley, you did a fantastic job of asking good questions and then just letting him speak. Good work.
What a guy. I miss him. He'll never get enough credit for his captaincy. The talent was diminishing all around him, but he still willed us into the playoffs a few years.
Love Zetterberg! Still looking great like he could be on the team still too! I'm sure the young guys learned a lot from him while he was in town. Wish I could go back in time and see them all play again. Loved watching him, lidstrom, datsyuk and yzerman play along with the rest of the guys we had back then. But our future looks so bright now and it's all starting to come together! Can't wait to see our young guys blossom into another legendary team! LGRW!!!
What a great interview. Seeing Henrik laugh about the impending crap he’s gonna catch for not picking some guys for his hypothetical line was great. This series keeps getting better and better.
His Conn Smythe performance and shutting down Crosby in that series is an amazing memory. Too bad he had back issues, he could've had a few more seasons. His best years were truly elite.
Sidney Crosby knows Henrik Zetterberg well. Really well, if you remember the 2008 Stanley Cup final. Pretty much every time Crosby hopped onto the ice, there came Zetterberg, looking to shut down the Penguins captain. Zetterberg himself shut it down recently, announcing his retirement this past week due to a degenerative back condition. Crosby and Zetterberg did battle on the ice many times, never more heated than in the 2008 and 2009 Cup finals, but Crosby always had a healthy respect for the Red Wings captain and shared his thoughts Sunday on Zetterberg walking away from the NHL. “It’s too bad,” Crosby said after Day 3 of Penguins training camp at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. “He’s a great player. He’s been good for a really long time. You think of the Red Wings, he’s a guy who comes to mind. [Nicklas] Lidstrom, [Pavel] Datsyuk, Zetterberg, all those guys who played for so long together. “[Zetterberg] had an amazing career. He was a tough guy to go against every single night. You knew what you were going to get from him. Just a great competitor.”
Zata! Great to see that he's doing so well. Really hoped that the Wings will have had at least one Cup with him at the Captaincy. Oh, lest I forget: Mmmmm....Carley.
Thats how Carley rolls. Such an annoying human to be involved in the Red Wings organization. No hockey sense about the history. She is just a pretty face. Pretty lame id say.
I know these guys don't pay much attention to non top6 clubs, but very superficial take. Rodgers lost the team 18 months or so ago. Trying to play boring possession football when he doesn't have the players. No mention of how many games and goals lost due to set pieces. That is not a player issue, that is all on the coaches. When he finally brought in a set piece coach, the issue was fixed. Why did it take almost 2 years! He is too stubborn, could not figure out his best formation or players. Ran Vardy ragged by playing him too much a couple years ago instead of finding other options. Poor signings when you assume he had the most influence. Definitely on Rodgers, just say it!
What a guy Detroit redwings fans were blessed to have u as a hero all these years
Dude's so epitomizes the Wings. Glad that he spent 1,000+ games with the Wings.
I wish I could have seen a few more seasons of him. If things had gone just a little bit differently he would have an undeniable Hall of Fame career, if he doesn't already. I hope this beautiful man never has back pain for the rest of his life.
Still a decent chance of getting into the HoF I think.
Him & Pav will go into the HoF together.

Time flies miss seeing Henrik on the ice.

Dude...Surströmming getting advertised on jerseys is...savage. 😀
8:16 to 10:34 is excellent insight. Henrik is smart and analytical, not very surprised by that as he's an incredibly smart player.
My favorite player one of the best captains of all time
Thank you Z, that 2008 cup was great experience!!! Good luck and tell Pav to go visit Detroit once again
What a great interview. Seeing Henrik laugh about the impending crap he’s gonna catch for not picking some guys for his hypothetical line was great.
This series keeps getting better and better.
One of the best for sure. Nice interview.
Always going to miss Z in Detroit. ❤

I can hear Homer laughing at him not being picked on that line. Gonna get so much s%*$t. Great interview. TY

If Crosby respected Zetterberg, he should have shaken hands in 2009.
You rock Hank. Hope the back is better. #40 for life
Love you Carley
Awesome stuff! Thank you Carley!
Just got my 2016 stadium series jersey. I gotta do whatever I can to get that bad boy signed.
Good talk!

Jake Gyllenhaal on ice,
Zata! Great to see that he's doing so well. Really hoped that the Wings will have had at least one Cup with him at the Captaincy.
Oh, lest I forget: Mmmmm....Carley.
mmmmmm creepy. Sure shes an 11/10, but theres ways to be at least a little more classy.
nothing about what he's doing now for the organization?
Thats how Carley rolls. Such an annoying human to be involved in the Red Wings organization. No hockey sense about the history. She is just a pretty face. Pretty lame id say.
Sounds like he's busy raising a future 7th rounder for us.
Euro twins
Carley is just too pretty
Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say nothing...
Carley is such a smokeshow she makes NHL legends nervous
Carley is bad as hell. Hope she stays around the organization forever.
Absolute smoke show
