    for safe equipment i recommend using a respirator mask so you dont breath in the dust from machine if you have not got a hoover attach to the machine

      Hi, thanks for your comment, that's a good point. We will always recommend using a dust extractor when cutting hazardous materials, we usually disconnect ours for a couple minutes at a time to get more interesting shots showing the cut. But like you said, a respirator is a must in any workshop.

    Hi I’m really interested in this CNC for my workshop to progress, can I do the programming on a apple iPad or do I need a windows laptop. Thanks.

      Hi, The G-Code Sender software allows firmware settings to be configured, move the machine around, and send the G-Code job file to the machine. The control software used with the WorkBee is WorkBee Control. It is browser-based software so can be used on Windows, Mac or Smartphone (if the Wifi option is chosen). The CAM Software we sell by Vectric is for windows only. However you could use Fusion360 which works on a Mac. I don't think there is any CAM Software for an iPad.

    Do you have the Aspire bit settings for the end mills you sell, pass depth, step-over ect.?

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  5 лет назад +2

      I am afraid we don't. If you send an email to sales@ooznest.co.uk we can send you recommended feeds for the material you want to cut.

    Hi, do you run classes/demonstrations for potential buyers?

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  5 лет назад +2

      Yes we run demo's for potential buyers. Do you want to send an email to sales@ooznest.co.uk to arrange an appointment.

    Hi I know this video was in April but I'm curious if there was a reason you went for a circular tool path when surfacing the piece of work rather than just running long parallel linear lines back and forth across the piece. Surely the circular method takes more time as there are slow down for direction change etc? Thanks in advance. T

      Hi, thanks for your comment. There was no reason particular why that was chosen i am afraid.

      @@ooznest okay cool thanks for the reply. Might be worth a try next time you do this to see if it speeds up your workflow or gives you a different finish. 👌🏻👍🏻

    Hi guys.... one question....why are using inch's rather than metric

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  5 лет назад

      Hi, where were we using inches?

    • @tangoterrier
      @tangoterrier 4 года назад

      @@ooznest You were using imperial sized tooling. Does seem odd if designing in metric

      @@tangoterrier Hi thanks for your message. It is strangle a lot of tooling is still in imperial.

      It's down to the size of the collet, both the Bosch and the Makita come with imperial collets.
      I had to buy metric collets fo my Makita, and it wasn't easy to find either!

    Hi I've just added a ooznest work bee to my basket . Can you tell.me if the software you use in this video does it run on a mac ( I have a mac book pro ) I can see you have a mac in the background

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  4 года назад

      The Vectric software is windows only. WorkBee Control, runs in a browser, so any OS will be ok.

  • @LG-ro5le

    Is the software compatible with mac and do you know if you can use this machine with fusion 360?

    • @ooznest
      @ooznest  3 года назад

      Hi there, the Vectric software we offer is Windows only, however you can use Fusion360 as an alternative if you are using Mac. To do this, you would need this Post Processor - learn.ooznest.co.uk/Wiki/WorkBee_Firmware_Releases#Section_Post_Processors

      @@ooznest I think he meant when you mentioned the cutter shank diameter. That is always measured in inches even here in Europe where everything is metric.
