He Ryan, great video. It explains very clearly how to create a simple job. But ... One comment on the screenrecording: it seems that only the main Aspire screen was recorded and not the sub-windows that you opened. I guess you were trying to show something in several sub windows as the mouse pointer was moving around while we only see the main Aspire screen. This happend when you were talking about importing the logo file, the bit selection, saving the toolpath file.
Hi Bert, Glad you liked the video. Damm we didn't notice that, looks like the screen grab didn't pick them up. We will see if there is something we can do to fix it.
It would be nice to have the sub-screens with the rest... it is kinda hard to guess what you are doing there. Even without it was a helpful vid, so thanks for that!@@ooznest
Hello Ryan, i have a problem with my CNC, it offsets the designed pice from the work pice in X, and Y axis sometimes 5, 6 cm and sometimes 3, 4 cm what am i doing wrong? i followed the steps you followed to the letter and it's not cutting correctly
Hi, are you using the Touch Probe to set the Work Zero? If so, you have to be careful using the fluted section, as if it contacts on the inside of the flute, it could offset your job. Sometimes best to use an old endmill upside down.
@ooznest Could you please confirm whether or not you CAN use UGS or GRBL control software with the Duet3 controller if you choose? I understand that you recommend Workbee control, however if I prefer to use a standard control software is it possible? i.e is the Duet3 GRBL compatible when using the serial port only?
Hey Ryan. Thanks for the video. When you set the Z Home/Start position to 5mm my understanding is that you then need to raise the Z by 5mm after you have set the work piece 0, is this not the case? It looks like you haven't done this in the video so O might be wrong
@@ooznest Ah great, thanks Ryan. Two more random questions if you don't mind, one can you please do a feeds and speeds video and two do you have a UK supplier name for the aluminium square blank you used for your touch probe? thanks a mill
I've been umming and aaahring about a WorkBee or a Shaper Origin for many months now. I think this video just made the decision for me. WorkBee FTW.
Great to hear!!!
A trick : watch series at kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

Is the GRBL(mm) PostProcessor also standard for the Duet board?
do the thumbs up mean yes?
can we use anything else instead of GRBL (mm) .gcode
Our latest WorkBee using Duet Control which is much better than GRBL
Is there a free or budget application like this for the 1515?
You could take a look at Fusion360
How do you set up the touch probe for the corner of your product
Hi John, have you seen this guide here on using your XYZ Touch Probe: learn.ooznest.co.uk/Guide/Assembling+Your+Original+WorkBee+XYZ+Touch+Probe/61
Is UGS still needed when used with the Duet firmware?
No, never use UGS with the Duet. Use Duet Web Control
Is the Duet board compatible with Mach3 or Mach4?
I am afraid the Duet is not compatible with Mach3 or 4
Newbie question ,can you use any software on the workbee?
For the control software, you have to use WorkBee Control. But CAM Software wise you can use pretty much anything

@@Yellers1983 You don't need to do this. It will automatically go up to it when you start the job.
