I live close by. My dad spent most of his Army career at Ft Sill in fact met my mom in 1957 while stationed there. We have always enjoyed the Wichita Mts.

Oklahoma is much underrated for interesting natural attractions. They may far between. But they are not few.

The visitor center was closed a lot in 2021 and 2022. I like to go every few weeks since it is the best free hiking close to WF. ( the hike and bike trails at Possum Kingdom in Grayford are really fun too) I like Charon Gardens. Have you been to Hagerman Wildlife Refuge in Sherman? I don't recall seeing a video about it. Unfortunately the water levels are soooooo low.

I think the Wichita Mountains is one of my favourite places in Oklahoma, especially the visitor's centre! It's so nice.

So cool! I'm at the Land Between the Lakes Park in western Kentucky and it's so beautiful. Yep I picked up two bags of trash when I first got here... People can ruin things

Thank you for what you did with the trash!!!! We all have to do more to make up for those who neglect spaces!!

22:58. The grey wolf was completely eradicated by ranchers and professional hunters. Some have been reintroduced in northern states. But most ranchers staunchly resist this. The Disney movie Never Cry Wolfe portrays this issue, set in Alaska.

Loved the video, one of my favorite places. I always have a trash bag or two in my backpack when out hiking. It amazes me that some people will carry a 6-pack of beer 3 hours down a trail, but after they drink them the empty cans become too heavy to carry back to their car. My wife and I carry out a bag of beer cans every hike.

It’s amazing how heavy those things get whenever they’re empty lol I’ve noticed that too and I appreciate the fact that you do that I try to pick up whatever I can and if I have a bag with me then it’s much easier obviously sometimes I forget though

12:33. Predators like the bobcat play an essential part in the environment/ecosystems. without them keeping populations like rabits in check, we'd be faced with what Australia had to when well meaning English set rabbits loose and of course they *bred like rabbits* to the point they had to put in a "rabbitproof fence" from one end of the country to the other and eliminate rabbits by beating them with clubs. If only Australia had bobcats. And now domestic cats threaten Australias native birds - threatening many species with extinction.
