Nah Black Lanterns still exist as they are, what Roy has was not a Black Lantern ring, but what seems to be a new ring that was disguised as a Black Lantern ring. In other words, this is a whole new Corps. At least that's what I understood
Its a new corps. The omega ring disguised itself as a black lantern ring. I'm guessing Roy was resurrected by a black lantern ring and then somehow Darkseid corrupted and transformed it into something else. Kinda like the blue lanerns can restore a red lanterns heart since wearing a red ring replaces there heart and bearer can never be separated from the ring and will die. Omega rings may target black lanterns or are powerful enough to over take and bond with individuals with great suffering.....alive or dead.
Maybe calling it black is racist?

I would think the "Omega" Lantern Corps would just be the elite Black Lanterns, but no. Darkseid apparently conquered the Black Lanterns and kind of replaced them with the Omega Lanterns. Since Darkseid is obsessed with Anti-Life Equation, contrasted with the White Lantern Corps Life Equation.
Man, DC sure has some crazy stories. I love this stuff. 🙂

Why wasn't Batman a zombie when he used his black lantern ring?
According to Blackest Night, the black lantern ring could make you look exactly as you did when you were alive. Nekron decided to keep their menacing appearance in order to emotionally affect his victims who saw their friends and family. Batman apparently wanted to look normal.

Hi. I generally do not post replies to videos, but I finally had to. I am 60 and I first started reading comics in 1967 or 1968. I have always enjoyed reading them, and honestly, 2 things always bugged me about other readers. 1. Them telling me I HAVE to choose between DC and Marvel. I cannot tell you how many times I would just respond with "Why?" to almost be physically assaulted for refusing to do so. and 2. I also was a collector from as early as the early 70s. But I also had to hide a large part of my collection because I fell in love with "Underground" comics. Especially Vaughn Bode'. What I personally had a laugh about was the fact that drugs were never my "Thing." Have you done, or will you do a video on underground comics? I really enjoy your videos and how you come across as very knowledgeable but not even remotely pretentious. Thank you again for the great videos sir.

I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY INVOLVING THIS NEW TYPE OF ENEMY LANTERNS & QUESTIONS & IDEAS:
First off, are these new enemy lanterns that are called (OMEGA LANTERNS) the new threat in the far future within the new DC Comics storyline?
Now if the (OMEGA LANTERNS) are the new threat; Than I wonder is there an opposite of them that is powerful enough to fight against them, and if so than I wonder what is that lanterns group called?
For instance I can imagine a (SILVER LANTERNS CORE) & I imagine that the color might stand for HOPE, BRAVERY, Kindness, COMPASSION, SYMPATHY, EMPATHY, LIGHT, FreeWill, Will-Power, and Life.

In a way we always did its white lantern and is still the most powerful ring unless the retcon it being 2nd most powerful to omega because that ik of white lantern is all the rings in 1 so either theyll update it to include omega lantern or it be retcon it as 2nd most powerful ring
So the writers sat in a room and said "right lets make the most powerful bad guy in DC more OP" The biggest flaw is even if everything returns to normal nothing can return to normal. you have the multi dimension, recreation and you have extreme versions of everyone accept Darkseid. Now Darkseid exist outside the multiverse in a higher dimension and what we see is avatars of him. So no other being accept for Darkseid have this? So here is a "being" that exist as a "pure infinite evil god" that cannot lose. In short it doesn't matter how epic the writing is the bottom line is evil won. END

Yellow Lantern Joker is even scarier than Batman's version. The only version that might be on par with Jokers or more powerful is Scarecrow with a yellow Lantern Ring 😤🔥 Joker should have an Orange lantern for greed. He wants to cause havoc so bad he'll take and or do anything for it. That'll be dope then have Bane with a Red Lantern and Grundy with a Black Lantern
