- See Christoph Strassers effort in his attempt to improve the 24h Road Record. What finally became a historic best performance, has not been expected before. This attempt was planned to serve as a test ride for another attempt later in the year. Christoph did his ride without drafting, according to the rules of the World Ultracycling Association (WUCA). In 2021 Christoph Strasser is pursuing two major goals: 1. In July he wants to improve the 24h road record of 914 kilometers. 2. In September he wants to break the 1000 kilometer mark on a car race track in the high altitude of Colorado. No one has ever done this on a road bike before. The 24h road record should serve as a final test ride for #1day1000k.

Hi, what was your actual watt target for 24h?
It stands in the last few seconds of the outro. Goal was 275W, actual power was 272W because in the last hours I had to take it easy in the curves because of the rain ;-)

Not exactly the road. It would be sweet to see how far you can go on actual roads versus a closed race track. But absolutely insane nonetheless excellent work
There are exact rules by the WUCA World Ultracycling Association for definition of road. There is a different category for outdoor track.
But yeah, I also like to ride on other road events like RAAM or Transcontinental Race, and I have scored some nice results there as well ;-)
But for a WUCA record it must be a loop, otherwise you could have massive tailwinds if you go in one direction for 24h.

Vielleicht sind "thin" tubes gemeint? Bin mit Aerothan Schläuchen gefahren.
@@christophstrasser ah, cool 🙂. Die aerothan fahr i a immer. 42 kmh sind bei mir 290watt. Unglaublich wie du "nur" 270 Watt brauchst für des Tempo 👍
