awesome!...Im not a bicyclist, but I swear there is something therapeutic watching such adventures. I dont know why but is has a soothing or calming effect. Be great if the old Route 66 or something similar was developed into a bike trail across America, with reststops, water, tent camping etc. for bikers. I dont mean anything that requires upkeep...just a water spicket and some shade would do in some places.
Seems that being on the support team and trying to coordinate all the logistics involved in caring for the riders, vehicles, bikes, food, radios, lights, maintenance and support crew would be harder than riding the bikes. What an undertaking . Wouldn't want to be in charge of all of that. Just put me on the bike and pamper me as needed lol. I know the riding is extremely challenging as well.
awesome to watch! We won RAAM 4 man 50+ in 2019 with 6 days 19 hours. How you guys went 13 hours faster is beyond my understanding. Great performance!!
just great awesome style of documentary film. Only pain in the ass is the audio :( It isn't rich enough and very thin. Dont know what has been wrong there but its a bit of a shame. However good clip. thumbs up
I think the audio sums up our race - plagued with problems from start to finish (battling with extreme heat, novice crew, pre-race tumbles, not to mention sleep deprivation!) but we battled through and gave it our best shot. Having such a small crew compared to a lot of the other teams in the race, I struggled to juggle shifts of driving the RV, navigating the Follow Vehicles and helping out wherever I could to keep the guys moving, that documenting the journey kind of took a backseat. In the end more than 50% of the documentary ended up being filmed on my phone as It was the only thing to hand at most points in the race. In the end I think it is fitting, as its a raw reflection of what it was actually like to be there in the moment. If you ever get the chance to go, don't hesitate, just do it! Thanks for watching, feedback is always welcome!
Excellent doc on the RAAM! Curious. Why are the lights not on flashing. It's interesting to hear the commentary of the riders regarding the different clines as they pass from high to low deserts into mountains and weather.
I wonder why the RAAM changed from its Atlantic City destination? AC is a destination city and actually on the Atlantic Ocean. Annapolis is only at the west shore of the Chesapeake, not coast to coast.
I just came back from a trip out to Arizona and saw a lot of these rider on the road, I am curious to see that you never filmed any of the Prescott to Jerome section as Many riders were struggling going up that massive climb.. Check out the video of the Man City Dr on the RAAM. So this team used a relay system and got driven to each change over, other riders and teams actually rode the whole distance without riding in cars. How many hours per day did they each ride, soloists were riding 20/22 hours a day.
They rode the whole distance as a relay as you can either have a team of 8 ,4,2 or do it solo ! The Man City dr did it solo ! Just different categories
YEA i seen the 1 Brit that try this by him self and got hit by a tanker i felt really bad cuz i know the driver probable stay awake to long and that ageist the law in America but also in America cycling is not very big but i will say that it is getting bigger
Michael Gibson to replace glycogen in the muscles. If you don’t keep your carbs up on an ultra endurance even you will break down your muscles. With no rest days you won’t be able to recover.
It was mainly shot in-camera and on a phone by a member of their team, who we wanted to promote. For a production budget of £0 with no film crew, the riders did a fantastic effort racing
This was a great watch. What an achievement by the whole team. Chapeau!

Great adventure. Full commitment. Good work fellas.
Wow, well done guys, awesome documentary! (except for the audio)
You know when you're going to win when even the bananas are labeled. :)
These chaps are just so British!

For a sec I thought that my audio was shot until I read all the comments. What a relief hahaha
anybody know what radios they are using????
No way I'm paying thousands of dollars for this. I think I'll do an unofficial run with the race, following the route and everything.
ON average how far was each stint?
YEA i seen the 1 Brit that try this by him self and got hit by a tanker i felt really bad cuz i know the driver probable stay awake to long and that ageist the law in America but also in America cycling is not very big but i will say that it is getting bigger
Fell to sleep after the first ten minuets, how did it end 💤💤💤💤💤😴
great effort, but why were they drinking gatorade?

Awful sound on this, real shame.
