  • The Ozone DELTA 2 was a very popular wing in the Sports Class (EN C). I thought it was a joy to fly, ideal for exploring, adventuring, and having an absolute blast in the sky. Could it be improved upon? We tried the new DELTA 3 to find out.

    Nice review. I love my Alpina 2 so much. I'm not going to give it up. For at least three more years. Great wing.

    Had my first thermalling flight on my new Alpina 3 this weekend, very happy! 2 hours in punchy, disorganized desert thermals on a high-pressure day. The A3 took care of me despite it being my first thermal adventure on a C. Climbs great, glides great.

      Kyle O'Glee 1st flight on Alpina 3 today ( Sup'Air Delight II ) , seems great! Must ease into thermal season, though.

    Hi Greg! Hey, it's been 4 months, when can we expect part 2 of this review, now that the thermalling season is here? Thanks!

    Since you have now reviewed my two prospect EN-C wings, coming from a High EN-B (Chili 4) which one will you recommended as the next logical step: Delta 3 or Sigma 10? Thanks!

      Hey Jorge, there's no generic answer to that, which is why we don't do comparison tables. It depends on the pilot that is being matched with a wing. We offer this consultation as part of our buying service, but there's no point us doing this on the internet because everyone is unique. Both good wings, our reviews highlight characters/aspects, so choose the ones you think will make you happiest in the air .. or give us a call if you're in Europe/UK.

    Hi Friend,
    I'm changing classes, I currently have a hot B, and would like to try C, so what do you really think about Delta 3? In case of pani really need to have a lot of piloting to reopen? I fly a lot on shoreline on beach where the wind is always constant. If you can help me I thank you.

    What do you think about it opposite the wind?

    • @greghamerton4422
      @greghamerton4422 6 лет назад

      you mean into-wind performance? It seemed average for the class: it won't keep up with an Enzo, but it will progress easier than a Rush. Similar to other low-to-mid EN C wings.

    No swivels at brakes. Ozone will never learn

    • @NelsonsWings
      @NelsonsWings 6 лет назад

      vanwaestel We have installed swivels on some of our wings, but the lines still get twisted. On our new Alpina we are just going to leave it as is and learn to not twist.

      Swivels don't add much, and less stuff to go wrong.

      They have a reason for that. It's not like they are stupid or anything.
