Big Bend National Park - 10 Things to Do!

- These are 10 things you can do in Big Bend National Park! At over 800,000 acres, it is one of the largest, yet least visited national parks in the United States. If you enjoy hiking, canoeing, sight-seeing, stargazing or soaking in natural hot springs, this is the park for you. Here you can explore the flora and fauna of the Chihuahuan desert, hike the Chisos Mountains or paddle down through several amazing canyons on the Rio Grande, which serves as the international border with Mexico. We loved Big Bend so much that we visited it on two separate trips in December 2017 and 2018.

Thanks for make this video! I’m actually going to big bend soon and I was excited to see it pop up on my feed!
Awesome! Thanks Josh. I am happy that we finally get to return the favor by giving you ideas. 😀 If you have any questions not in the video, we probably know the answer. We've been there twice after all and obsess about going back. I would definitely try to time the trip if you can to soak in the Hot Springs. I believe it may be closed now. It would be unfortunate if you didn't get to do that. Have a great weekend!
@@MagellanandGreyhound it’s great to see Josh’s reply. I used to watch his lots of videos and get inspired to travel. When he comments to one of my videos, I was excited..)
@@TravelwithSuri He is the gold standard as far as I’m concerned for California videos, and he makes great videos no matter where he goes, to be honest. His other channel is just as good.
Went to take a leak at 3AM. I was so awe struck at seeing the Milky Way stars that I stood outside my tent for 20 minutes. Simply amazing.
Living where we do, the concept of a dark sky is so foreign to us, and almost unreal. I bet that was one of your top leaks ever. 😁
Big Bend National Park looks so gorgeous! I would love to experience the hot springs, and canoeing through the river past the canyon walls would be amazing too. But I think the star gazing at night in that kind of darkness would be the thing I look forward to the most. I have spent most of my life living in suburban areas where there are always streetlamps and well lit signage lighting up the night and it is hard to see many stars. I would love to spend a few nights out there and really get a good look at the night sky. You have some awesome footage in this video. Thanks for taking us along on the adventure!
Thank you! And we completely understand. We live on Long Island and work in New York City. A place like Big Bend is so vastly different than what we are used to and why we appreciated it so much. It’s also why we’ve been there twice. Definitely get out there one day. Just not during the summer I hear. 🤣
OMG this park looks absolutely amazing. Love the clips and the explanation for each location. Light and save this video so that we have when we visit here.
Most underrated park in the country. Not saying the other ones are terrible, but this one deserves so much love
Doug took me river rafting when I visited last June -- truly the most amazing person with so many positive vibes && energy.
He really is. He picked us up at La Linda the first go around when we did Boquillas. Nice two hour convo about life driving us back. When we did Santa Elena and Hot Springs we requested him.
Beautiful Big Ben National Park! Love your kayaking down the Rio Grande in those spectacular canyons. Sounds very remote. I also like the old Starlight Theatre. Well done, my friends 👍. Big like and full play to the end. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week 😀.
Thank you Jim! This remains our favorite national park in the US. We haven’t been to them all, but I think this one would still hold its own with Yosemite etc
Awesome! Thank you can’t wait leaving soon!!
That’s great! We are a little jealous. Have fun!
Big Bend is a famous and perfect place to explore! 👍
It really is! Trying to get back there as soon as possible. 😂
Your video is a great sampling og the Big Bend region. It is my favorite place ! I have been out there 50 times and have never tired of the experience! Thanks again for your beautiful video.
Thank you Gary! We agree. There’s something really special about it and is the reason we started creating videos - we wanted to show people how awesome Big Bend was. I’m not sure we’ll catch up to your 50 times, but we’re at 2 so you never know 😆
We loved our trip there; hiking and exploring the river on a borrowed inflatable boat. A grand time we had!
That sounds awesome! The river was the best part for us
The clip when you fell down while pulling the kayak was funny!! 😄
Thank you for the video! VERY informative! 👍
Can’t wait to go to Big Bend!! 👏👏👏
You're very welcome! Not the first time that's happened, and not the last. 😄Big Bend is one of our favorite parks for sure, and very underrated.
Beautiful share, amazing national park, fantastic weather, so relaxing video.
Have a wonderful day to you.
Thank you! It’s one of our favorites
The best adventure, this place looks amazing! What a trip you both had. We are for sure going to Big Bend.
And we will know when you do! 😀
I will have to check out Big Bend. I have never been. OMG that shot of the horse ride in the water was amazing. Glad we found your guys.
It's an awesome place! We hardly ever go places twice, but it was an exception. The horses from the intro is from Brandenton, FL. They have these injured horses undergoing therapy and the water is apparently good for them. So you can ride them in the water!
Looks amazing, This trip is on my bucket list.
Hands down the most underrated national park in the country. Definitely get there!
Went to Big Bend a few years ago. My 3rd favorite NP! Gorgeous place. And the food in the Park is great!!
It's so underrated. What are your #1 and #2?
this looks like an incredible great time
So incredible we had to go a second time! Definitely go if you get the opportunity!
Best Big Bend video
Thank you Dave! Means a lot !
Fantastic Vlog.continue like this, and do not give up.God bless you and your family
Thank you so much! To yours as well!
Thank you! One of the better "scripts" for Big Bend - my favorite National Park. Two more things would be 1) a "once in a lifetime" kayak trip kayaking thru Mariscal Canyon (it is just a little difficult getting to a good put-in spot), and, 2) go to see the additional 300,000 acres at Big Bend Ranch State Park. You are exposing the best kept secret of the National Parks System!
Thank you! We tried to kayak Mariscal twice!!! But so many things did not go right. It is our top priority when we return. And yes! We got to see some of the state park when we went horse riding. It really is an absolutely breathtaking area at times, and feels almost more special by how untouched a lot of it is. I wish we lived closer
springtime is when the bluebonnets get to 3 feet tall! great video!
Oh man! Both times we went were in December. Miss this park so much. Would love to see it during a different time of year!
Beautiful video and explanation of each site. Love your work.
Thank you so much! That means a lot! We try to give people the information we wish we had, if that makes sense.
Great vid, very informative guys, thanks!
Thanks, that’s what we hoped for !
Just watched your video and really enjoyed it! As a native Texan, I have always lived in Texas. I've only been to Big Bend twice in my 68 years.....and both times it was flooding! First time on a bicycle tour in 2014, we got literally flooded out of two different campgrounds and had to take refuge. It rained 7 out of 9 days while cycling and camping, and was cold, foggy and just yuck...visability was less than a mile many days. I really wanted to abandon the tour. The second time I went was in Sept 2020 after they had a very wet period of rain. I drove this time and the desert and area was alive with blooming purple sage and other plants. Could not get into Santa Elena canyon because the road was completely flooded, did visit Boquillas and the river was really high. All canoeing on the river was off limits. There must be something about flooding and me going to Big Bend, lol. But yeah, it is an amazing area, going to try to get back out there soon. I have a slide show movie video on my youtube page if interested. The blooming purple sage was amazing,I think it's worth a watch. Plus the wildflower viedo I have from 2019 is pretty cool.
That is awesome. We don’t live close at all, but this was a special place. It sounds like you definitely had some bizarre weather! We’ve always gone in December so I have no idea what’s it’s like there other times of year. And yes I’ll take a look at your videos in a little bit. We’re about to release a video in a few minutes but I definitely want to see the purple sage!
I wish I could visit that park one day! It is amazing and with wonderful sceneries and things to do!
We’ve visited twice and I am constantly asking Greyhound to go again
@@MagellanandGreyhound I am not surprised! It is magnificent!
Great video! We are heading there soon & needed some info. Much appreciated 💯
Thank you! Have fun! It’s a great park! 😁
One of the best Big Bend vids! Thanks for sharing. Oh and I love Greyhound’s flexible process to vegeterianism.. lol
Thank you! Making this was a labor of love. Greyhound likes to call herself a 99% vegetarian, the 1% being reserved for local travel yummies. 😁
Me and 5 other gals of varied ages, 26-68, just got back from Big Bend Adventure. You are so right about needing a satellite phone! And the new moon sky was stupendous. Will plan another trip soon.
Awesome! It's like our home away from home. Love that park so much. Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, it is amazing to see all views you got, kayaking is fun. We went to our boat and wanted to do some kayaking too, unfortunately, someone stole one of our kayak 😩
OMG, we would cry if our kayaks were stolen. That is awful. Ours have names. We are very attached.
Great trip!
Thanks man!
awesome guys
Thank you :)
My favorite video and my favorite park so far! -Greyhound
Can we go again?
Very knowledgeable and great tips!
Thank you so much! Hope you get to visit!
Thus is awesome! and it looks very calming paddling through Santa Elena! I'll have to make the trek out to Big Bend soon!
It’s one of our favorite parks in the US (so far). Summer is super hot, so definitely avoid that if you can, unless you’re okay with insane temperatures.
Santa Elena was beautiful! I wish we had done some kayaking there.
Awesome video! You two are very brave. I love it. 🤙🏾
Haha thank you. It’s a very fun place!
Very cool! Haven’t seen much for videos on Big Bend National Park but it sure looks like a great place to visit! Nice to find places that are less crowded too! Have a great weekend!😀
Thanks! Part of the appeal, I think, is its remoteness. That would change if the park gets flooded, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. It's not a low-hanging fruit park. You have a great weekend too!
Very informative and concise , Bravo !
Thank you very much! This is an old video of ours from an even older vacation, but we really loved this park.
Thank You..
You’re welcome - don’t know why, but hopefully we helped you with something 😊
Great Video! Thank You!
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed!
My husband and I hiked to the Window when we visited Big Bend. I really enjoyed it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. It took us 9 hours to drive there from Houston. I heard that they have the dome and stucco structures to rent there now. There are some that’s clear for star gazing. I also went to Terlingua and went horseback riding. Thanks for sharing.
That’s awesome! We’ve heard that it’s slowly being built up to accommodate more visitation. Sleeping at night, looking up at that big sky! Glad you got to visit. We love that park
I went here for 2 weeks one time..So Awesome
Oh man, two weeks? Yeah that must have been fun! We went two different times, about a week each. Really want to go back, but there's other parks ...
I love BB Park. If you motorcycle don’t miss the river road west from Terlingua to Persidio. Fantastic ride.
Gotta do that next go round! The two times we visited we came along 90 and 10 from El Paso and Fort Davis. Really want to explore the state park more. We've seen a bit of the stretch you're talking about just past Lajitas. So beautiful
Thanks for the information ☺️
You’re very welcome!
Great video man. Going in a few months. Thank you
Awesome! I am partially jealous! Enjoy!
Yes
Going there next December thanks for the insights
You’re very welcome! Hope you love it
Thank you so much! This is a great video. I visited the park, but did not kayak. Look what I have missed!
Thank you! Definitely kayak next time! Definitely definitely definitely. It is well worth it
Thanks for sharing. Very good video. Keep it up. See you for the next video my friend
Thank you! We appreciate it!
This is a great video! We are heading to Big Bend in a few weeks and your video gave us a lot of great ideas (especially that hot springs)
Haha you found an oldie but goodie. One of the most underrated parks and still one of our favorites. Hope you enjoy it!
I visited once but not as extensively. The Marfa locals call the drive there 'the river road'. I'm so glad I found this place and hope to return.
We were in the same situation. I can’t remember if we say it in the video, but we visited twice. The first video was mostly kayaking and less park. Had to go back! Hopefully you get to return too. Really fascinating place
Thanks good clip
Thank you, appreciate it 😊
Never been there guys! Definitely you re doing great job here and I am so jealous of those experiences you have!
Seems absolutely a place to be 😊
Thank you Costa. No need to be jealous! We haven't seen what you have either. One day when we can all travel again freely, we will be able to explore more. Have a great weekend.
Nice video!!! Beautiful!!
Thank you! It really is 😁
Fortunately we live in Midland (West Texas) so it’s a fairly easy drive down to the park, which we have done several times. We usually stay a night or two in Alpine or Marathon before we go on to Big Bend. There is much to see and do in the Davis and Glass mountains as well. And don’t forget the Marfa lights and Fort Davis! I had a very close encounter (two feet) with a large male cougar one night at the Chisos Lodge in the mountains basin. We have also seen bears a few times up at the basin as well as javelinas, bobcats and mule deer down in the desert. Be sure and buy some copper wire scorpions at Boquillas and shout out a song request across the river to the ‘Happy Mexican’. He made the trinkets and the proceeds of sales help the Boquillas school on the Mexico side.
Oh that’s pretty close (considering!). The first time we ever visited Texas we went to all the National Park sites and other stuff in a big circle around the state. Fort Davis, Marfa (that strange Prada store!), Lake Meredith, Amistad, the missions and the Alamo, Padre Island and of course Big Bend. Such an interesting state, but we love west Texas the best. We met the “happy Mexican” I think - he tried to sell us trinkets while in our kayaks at the entrance to the canyon! There’s another guy who sells stuff near Hot Springs as well. It's funny you mention the wildlife encounter. When we were staying in the Guadalupe Mountains, I had an encounter with (I believe javelinas). Not fun.
@@MagellanandGreyhound So cool what you do! There is nothing like traveling this grand America and the Lone Star state. Thanks for the great videos. I’m 65 and grew up in Texas but you have seen more of it than I have. I want to see the Devil’s River next. It’s only a three hour drive from Midland.
@@kellycoleman715 the whole world is fascinating, but if we're going to be stuck in any country, this one is pretty great considering its size and diversity. The difference between West and East Texas was pretty incredible to witness, and yes, we are definitely outdoor travel junkies. We're going to save the museums for when we can't hike anymore haha
Great review. Thank you!
Hope it helps! Have you planned out a trip?
@@MagellanandGreyhound yes. We are going 2/9/23. Very excited. Thank you for great information
@@bhupeshdihenia6514 awesome. Hope you enjoy as much as we did! 😁

Great video! Planning a long weekend trip and plan to eventually float the Rio Grande.
Thank you! The Rio Grande is a special place for us. Boquillas being one of our favorite spots. Hopefully you have a nice paddle. 😁
Beautiful photography 🎉
Thanks so much 😊 - it’s a beautiful place
Great footage and awesome views! Thank you for sharing this with us, we look forward to checking some of them out in the future. You’ve gained new friends from Florida ☺️
Thanks! Definitely a great place to visit and repeat visit. Whereabouts in Florida? We have some favorite places there too. 😁

@@MagellanandGreyhound hi,dear friend,do you know what is effective strategy to promote the RUclips video to get more view ?I am struggling with that, any good advice?
@@UChdXYUyETGAeQi97QsEwoEg we are not experts, but make a good thumbnail that stands out, a good title, make sure to write a good description so when people search for your video, it shows up. Kind of like hashtags. You should look up SEO to help. When you release your video matters too. Ultimately, always try to make a better video than your last. Hope that helps!
Play the song "Gringo Honeymoon" by Robert Earl Keen, as you canoe down the river! You will never forget the experience.
Just listened. Very fitting lyrics !
great video!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate it. Our videos used to be much worse! 😆

Few people have seen the sights of the universe but hitch a ride look at the sky and you will understand.

Great video. We are going to Big Bend next month. Steely Dan rules.
Thank you, hope you enjoy the park as much as we did, and yes STEELY DAN RULES.
Thanks for all the ideas!! I'm planning to visit in October and hope to make my own youtube video!
Awesome! October is definitely a good time to go, especially because of the water levels. Although this year - who knows!? Have fun! It’s a great park
Let us know in the comments which place you'd like to see the most. If you've been to Big Bend before, let us know yours (especially if we didn't include it in the video!)
The Lost Mine Trail is the best bang for your buck as far as a hike goes. Mariscal Canyon is a good hike too but requires a long drive down a dirt road. The Mule Ears Overlook is a must drive too as it is a short distance from the Ross Maxwell Scenic drive. If you are a real adventurer, you can take the 7 mile trail to Dominguez Spring and explore some of the amazing peaks of the Sierra Quemada. Just north of Big Bend is the Davis Mountains. The Star Party at McDonald Observatory is a cool thing to do during a new moon. Balmorhea State Park north of there is really cool.
By the way, Emory Peak is the 11th highest peak in the state. www.listsofjohn.com/PeakStats/selecth.php?sort=&n=50&s=TX
If you are ever in Oklahoma, check out the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge. Be sure and hike the two mile trail going north to south in the Charon's Garden Wilderness, hike up Elk Mountain, hike to Crab Eyes, drive up Mt. Scott, check out the Holy City, and finish off by eating on the river in Medicine Park.
Wow, thanks for those recommendations! We have so much unfinished business in the area. We actually got a flat tire TWICE trying to both paddle and hike Mariscal. It looks like it’s the best canyon and it’s the hardest to get to! We really wanted to do the Marufa Vega trail as well. There’s something so unique about this part of the country.
Can you rent kayaks at the park?? Or only bring your own? Thanks for the great video!!
@@cync7878 You can bring your own or rent just outside the park at several places in the town of Terlingua. We highly suggest not using kayaks and use canoes or rafts instead :) and thank you so much!
@@MagellanandGreyhound thats great to know! Im headed there in a few weeks and I definitely want to visit the santa elena canyon like yall did! Thanks!
Wow! This is stunning place to explore! Looking at all those rock formations and canyon it looks like it’s in Utah/Arizona! The antennas and tower at the top of the peak looks awesome, the sunset was spectacular! In California too, we have a fern canyon and it was huge! This place looks majestic. Thanks for sharing this under rated national park! Cool video my friends!
Suri, no joke, this place is the best. We're not just saying that because we went there and made a video. Definitely bump it up your list of places to visit.
@@MagellanandGreyhound Sure! I’ll do!
I wanted to go to the big bend when I went to Grand Canyon but than found out it was too far off. Good job on giving off info about this place and the tips.
Yeah, not even close! This country is deceivingly larger than it already is! Random question, are you out of NYC or Vegas? Or both lol (if you don't mind me asking)? Still trying to figure out based on your videos.
@@MagellanandGreyhound I'm in NYC lol Vegas was just a trip :D

That’s great! We didn’t even cover everything haha. We weren’t very serious back then about making videos. We hope you get to paddle the river.
I found 1 company that’s doing kayaking trips to Black Canyon. I didn’t realize how hot it gets and in the summer months everything pretty much shuts down. I’m enjoying breakfast at a lovely cafe in the ghost town. Thank you again!
@@elizabethtipton4193 it’s not even the hottest months! We had a friend go in July a few years ago and he came back red and scaly with skin cancer. Either way, enjoy! Beautiful area. Absolutely love it there
Best video on Big Bend. Well done. Hope you get to go back and do some of the hikes someday
Thank you! It’s a very special place for us. We went two years in a row. What is your favorite spot?
@@MagellanandGreyhound Two that stand out are a hidden hot spring spot most people don't know about and the Ernest Tinaja which you visited. I rode and camped the park on a dual sport motorcycle a few years back which is a great way to see many places in a short time that are more difficult to get to.
@@RanchoTexano awesome. Yes, that would have made it easier for us too. We were loaded with kayaks etc and couldn’t go too nuts. The one place we really wanted to kayak/hike was Mariscal Canyon, but we blew out our tires twice! It’s the hardest place to get to. One day!

This is such a good video! When did y’all go to Big Bend and for how long? I’m thinking about going soon :)
We went years ago, two different times, in December. Maybe 5-6 days each time. The first trip was basically kayaking Boquillas. And thank you! Old video of ours but a goodie.
Y’all should have gone to Terlingua Ranch and eaten at the Rabid Rabbit Cafe. Great food good people. And I learned how to swim in the pool at the ranch lodge
Added to the list for next time! That’s awesome that you learned to swim there
Nice vid 👍🏼

Great video.. very informative.. One small correction: Study Butte is pronounced “Stew-de byoot" Looking forward to exploring more places through your videos...
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. It is my hope that our videos have improved a lot since this one. I will never say Study again. Stewdee Byoot rolls off the tongue better 😁 Usually we learn by hearing the locals, but that wasn’t one we had heard.
What is the second hot springs in your video? Is it accessible by land only? Love the video!
Thank you! The second hot springs is the first one you see in the section before. You will pass it as you head into hot springs canyon if paddling. Either way, yes, you can get to it by land or the river. There's a small parking lot and it's maybe a 1/4 mile away along a nice trail. We went twice - once by land, and once from a canoe 😂.
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
If the audio level was slightly louder it would have been perfect.
Thank you so much! Is it the overall audio, the voice, or the music? We are still playing around with the levels
@@MagellanandGreyhound the voice over parts. But again, great share!
I loved your video and shared it to my group called the Hikerbabes! How long did it take you to to Emory peak and the South Rim. Last year I did Lost Mine and it was beautiful. I was thinking of averaging 30min miles with eating and water breaks? thanks for your help
Thank you! It’s been awhile now, but I remember that it was an all day kind of thing. 8-9 hours at least. Started around sunrise, ended around sunset (it was December so the hours were short.) At that pace you should be fine if you start early. Lost mine is in our list when we go back!
Hey thanks for the video, do you know hot spring is open in November -December?
Yes it’s open year round. Just check the website beforehand for alerts. They did close it for a bit due to the pandemic but I’m pretty sure it’s open now.
Im from Texas and just got back from Yellowstone and Grand Teton, this place doesn’t look like much compared to the other parks, wondering if I should still go…. Nice vid
Thank you! We think it’s worth it, but I get what you mean. People love visiting places in the northeast, but it’s more ho-hum to us because we live here and are used to seeing it. Yellowstone/Grand Teton we are hoping to go next year!
Did you feel safe being so close to the border? We have been concerned about this for a while. Thanks for any tips you and your readers can offer.
Absolutely. You are not only in the most remote place in Texas (and possibly in the US), but if you cross over the Rio Grande to Boquillas, you’re in the most remote place in Mexico. We have felt unsafe in many places, but this wasn’t one of them. Also - they are very sweet people. Get some tacos and a beer 😁
Debating on taking a 3 day trip out there but I live in south Texas but damn this place is still 9 hours away 😳
It was 32+ for us 😂. But seriously, check it out if you get the time. I think one of the reasons it's not as visited is because it's far even for Texans like yourself haha
Did you feel safe being so close to the border? )))
Yup. The park is not a border crossing hotspot lol. You'd have to be crazy to try. Even if people could traverse the insanely high canyons of the Rio Grande, they'd still have hundreds of miles of nothing but harsh desert terrain. Whoever can do that, we need to make them a Green Beret. 😀
thank you for making this Amazing Video!!!! ✨✨✨✨🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤🌠🌠🌠🌠
Got a few questions!!!
The Canoe...did you guys bring it along or was it there to rent? How to get permits to camp overnight? How hot is the water in the hot springs?
Thank you! We got the canoe as part of a tour guide. The outfitters are located outside the park. I don’t believe there’s any to rent inside the park. For the permits, we applied at the visitor center when we arrived. Definitely check the website because it’s very strict on what you need to bring and they checked us lol. For that trip we brought our own kayaks, which we don’t recommend. The hot water is hot! Not boiling, but close! It’s safe though, don’t worry. Hope that helps
@@MagellanandGreyhound yes... thanks a lot for the information!!! Keep rocking 👍
@@trailer1210 no problem!
I have watched your video several times. I just love it. I am going to Big Bend this Thursday. Are the springs open now? The website says still closed but I know they are slow to update. Can't wait for more of your adventures.
Thank you! From what we have heard, yes, they are still closed, which is a shame. How long are you staying and do you live close to it? We are excited for you and miss it a lot. It’s a great park, but we live nowhere near it.
@@MagellanandGreyhound thank you for the reply. I live in N Ga but I am in Corpus Christi TX visiting my daughter and her family. I'v been here for 4 months now and this is the last trip we will take before I hitch up my camper and head back to Georgia. We will be staying for 4 days. It's my birthday trip. April 1st I will be 65 so some of what you guys did I probably won't be doing. lol We will see. You guys are so fun to watch. Keep those vids coming, It helps with this awful lockup.
@@lifeworthliving4491 Happy Birthday in advance! It will be a great trip. Hopefully you visited Padre Island! And thank you, it’s been tough for us as I’m sure it is for many people. Most of of our videos have been trips prior to the pandemic (and others completely contactless in our truck setup). We have been watching a lot more videos lately too 😊
@@MagellanandGreyhound Thank you. Padre was last weekend.
I wanted to go for the star gazing forsure
You won’t be disappointed. So few places without light pollution now
No one understands what it means to be alone until they get there. No cell, no water, no gas station, no other tourists, no nothing. You better come prepared but when you do there is no better place in America. You will get very philosophical, religious, reflective, etc. out there-it's impossible not to.
Agreed! I think the most remote three days we ever spent were through Boquillas. It was just us and the sound of the Rio Grande. Being from the NYC area, this was both strange but exhilarating. And the reason we want to go back. It was also nice to know that no one could reach us on our phones 😊
I was at Big Bend Just last April
Love that park!
@@MagellanandGreyhound I'll be back out in that area around Labor Day
@@hikingwithjackieboy awesome! just curious, what are your favorite spots you've visited?
@@MagellanandGreyhound in Big Bend I would say Santa Elena Canyon, Lost Mine Peak, The Window, and Pine Canyon
@@hikingwithjackieboy never got to do Lost Mine or Pine Canyon. Next time! Santa Elena really is something else, although I think I miss Boquillas more. Have fun on Labor Day. 😄
