Compared to UCI tour riders which hv their team mechanics...triathlete diy everything, puncture in racing....fix ur own puncture , hydration & gels, bring ur own. Night & days compared to UCI road riders
Torque wrench, proper marking to stick with specific setup and optimised tire pressure could go a long way here. Indeed all that talk about optimization has not reached the bike yet. But makes the results even more impressive! KB, you are a star.
Hey kristian! Just put a tape along the edges before dismantling the parts so you could just trace it when putting back together. Thats zero2 precision.
That’s nice to see This is pretty much how I put my bike back together When I mess up I basically don’t make the same mistake again I think KB is the favorite however Jan will attempt to get away & stay away on the swim
Maybe he likes it. I love the pre Ironman routine assembly. Makes me calm that every bolt has been adjusted with the right torque. It only takes 15 min so why bother with a service person
not a lot of pros have that budget. they'd rather spend the money on physio, etc. Jan has his bikes delivered from canyon and has them take the bike back as well after the race. (And i guess for a race like this Lionel as well) Daniela Bleymehl has her husband taking care of the bike, its a family business. Would love to know if there are more people having their bikes taken care of
A down to earth guy, doing just what us age groupers do, love it.
All the very best for the race Kristian!
His lack of specificity putting his bike together and being top of world class is so comedic 😂
It's wild. Kristian is less prepared and skillled than me 😂 and I'm about 5hours behind him in an ironman
The way he just rode off that curb at the end lmao
This is an olympic champion & multiple world champion, building his own bike in a hotel room. In how many other sports would you see that? 😊
True!
Imagine an F1 driver wrenching on there own car 😂
As far as Olympic sports go, probably a lot actually. Many Olympic athletes barely make a living...
I think a lot of them like to do their own stuff. They don't want to trust anyone else with their equipment

3:52 yeah Kristian, it‘s all about a thumb in the front and two in the back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Please more vdieos about him, it's so much a pleasure to see the background of a race, days before and after, with such an amazing guy as Kristian
Imagine the best F1driver in the world building his own car a few days before the race looking at pictures, haha. What a legend! we love you KB
A great Man, with strong legs, deep breath and his feet heavy on the ground. Chapeaux
I love this helmet, it does its job. I'm happy with the price/quality.
Cool Video, thanks. 👍Good luck for the Race.

Such a beautiful machine
good good, thank you sharing this 🙌🏽
Go Kristian!!! 💪
Lets see a 1 thumb, 2 fingers celebration when you take the tape on Friday Kristian 😂
👍✌️👍✌️
Go get it.
Watching a world class athlete ride a $15k+ bike off a curb is oddly amusing…..
He can afford it (assuming he even pays for his own bike).
Thumb in the front, two fingers in the back - Kristian Blummenfelt 2023
Putting together his $15k+ bike with a little 10 in 1 Walmart bike tool 😂 come on Cadex hook your boy up with a tool kit!!!
7:49 haha
Generally only the athletes themselves the Machines. 💪😎🥉🥉🥈🥇🏆
Somebody give that man a torque wrench he enjoys using.
“One thumb, two fingers” that’s what she said
Here screw the chef on his own. What a friendly person
💪💪💪
I am scary about screwing without torque wrench 😱.
What is the name of your multitool please ?
Go for it Blu !
Pre-Race Bike Builds: things pro roadies can never do! Triathletes, we rule💥💯✊
Kristian careful don’t void the warranty on the bike.
Someone get this man a torque wrench 😅
so much Tech Hype but then so much unprofessionalism with the RaceBikeBuild ... come on Giant, get this man a personal mechanic #unbelievable
Just do your thing. It has always worked.
That’s nice to see

9:27 this is happens when Kristian pokes Lucy in the eye!
Takes him more to build the bike than to race 😁😅
How doesn't he have a guy to build his bike? It's like a racecar driver building his car before a race.
Maybe he likes it. I love the pre Ironman routine assembly. Makes me calm that every bolt has been adjusted with the right torque. It only takes 15 min so why bother with a service person
These guys are on a different scale / budget than other pro sports, which is why I love it!

this sport kicks so much ass
also, is it just me or do these pro triathletes always sound out of breath haha
Oh not that beauty again...
No torque wrench, insane(?)
It actually was insane to watch
So much carbon and so few torque wrenches….
6.5 Bar with Hookless Wheels??? Thats too much!
Maybe it's not hookless? 🤔 Otherwise it sounds like a lot
@@onepunchbud1472 cadex wheels
No one uses hookless unless they have a death wish
I’ve been riding hookless for a couple of months now and it’s perfectly fine.
Not building, Just mounting several parts.
The bike is way too complicated
Using a multi tool to build a bike that expensive is such poor form 😢
Don't want to nitpick but I do find it ugly
ditch the bike - it ain't working for you.
Hard to consider triathlon as an elite sport if you are building your own equipement.
But why does it have to be so goddamn ugly?
that's what she said
Super ugly bike. The ugliest I ever seen. But KB is so cute :))
