In this video I take you on a full plant tour of all the houseplants I have currently propagating in my little bedroom shelf propagation space. I set up my propagation zone when I first moved to my new apartment, and have played about with lots of planty ideas to keep my house plants happy, whilst also making sure they stay neat and organised. I'm super happy with my propagation DIY shelf set up - it was so easy to do on a budget and cost me very little to put together. All of my plants are propagating wonderfully in this space, and I hope you enjoy seeing all the plant updates on them. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions!

It is a Lida Buis. Fun fact: She is/was a real person. The outer variegated Bella is an Anneke Buis after Lisa’s twin sister! The discoverer named them after her twin girls.
Lida’s* twin sister. Autocorrect…
Being francophone you pronounced Louis Bois perfectly
Pothos really helped my snake plant cuttings to root quicker.
Agreed!! I got my moonshine cutting to root really quickly by adding a little piece of pothos BUT now the impatience of waiting for it to pup 😂
Can you make a video on how to make a green house ? To make sure it has enough humidity and light? For beginners
Just realised your on 🥳60k🎉Well done you!
I'd love to see a potting up of the props that need it 😊
I pop mine straight into the soil and they grow I've never had any bother doing this😊 x
Hello! I think the philodendron in your wet stick glass is a philodendron camposportoanum
yayyy neww vids :))) i've been checking daily for new vids
I suspect your 'common' philo cutting prop may be a camposportoanum, the leaf has that shape about it and the other characteristics fit.
Yeah seeds like dark! :) :) I found after growing a few batches of anthurium seeds that I had the best luck with sprouting them inside damp paper towel (or dunny paper lol) inside a bag on a heat mat unitl they had the first few leaves, then straight into my aroid soil medium :) :) The same method works for lots of fruit seeds, I've propped things like dragon fruiit, kiwi etc that way, just scraping the seeds out of fruits :)
that's a nice looking prop area!! :) Mine is just a stack of big plastic storage boxes in my cupboard...who needs clothes?! lol!!
I put all my marantas into semi hydro from soil ninja and they are loving it! The growth has gone crazy and no crispy leaves!
definitely would love a video of potting up the propagations!
Claire! Your plant at 17:15 I am fairly confident is a Philo. camposportoanum
Hi Claire, I bought a terrarium bottle 2 years ago. It's about 12inch diameter and 9inch high but has not gotten the time to pot it up. Could you do another one.
Your prop boxes are like little hidden treasures. 😍
I missed why she's using cork stopper glass bottles for propagation. Is it for high humidity?
I’m glad your variegated string of pearls is doing well in water!! I ordered a tiny cutting off Etsy and it’s doubled in size since I got it in April, by having it planted in soil and kept in a south facing window in a ziplock bag for humidity ❤ it’s good to know that they propagate well in water ☺️
Hi! How come you dont struggle with molt or root rot? Im propagating my monstera albo, in spagnum moss that i let go almost dry in between watering (heard that propagations need to work, so too much water is bad), in a small ikea green house. Within 1 week a couple of the roots started rotting and molding already… i open my window above it quite often and open the door of the cabinet a couple times per day. Also they get bright indirect light. I see your prop boxes with really high humidity and i just cant believe you dont struggle with mold or rot... Any tips? 🙏🏼
Hi Claire! I love propagating! It's such a fun thing to do, specially when you get mystery leaves/sticks and you don't know what they are until they start growing and get larger. I love the glass tube jars you have, I always have a snoop around charity shops to see what interesting jars/bottles they have in.
I have done so much experiments with propagating, using soil, perlite, vermiculite, water, a mix of a few of them, adding rooting hormones, just leaving out with nothing-mainly succulent leaves-
I like the surprises found in my chop and props…very exciting!!! 🌿🪴💚🙋🏼♀️🐩
Again it’s pretty impressive watching all your beautiful plants .
Been wanting to see what’s in this proppy space,! The light difference with the different seeds is really cool. Thank you, still watching 🙏🏾💕
I got a Dubia this month and it had already outgrown the plank it was growing on by three leaves. I had to chop it, so I figured I might as well try propagation for the first time. They're wet sticks with a single leaf, under a grow light and in sphagnum moss. It's been two weeks and they already have roots two inches long! I'm going to grow them until they're climbing on a moss pole and then give them away to friends. Dubias really are amazing plants.
This video made me want to propagate every plant I've got! Wetsticks will always seem like magic to me! 😄
Do you leave the grow lights on all the time or on a timer
My prayer plants LOVE pon!! I also have a few pothos in pon, too. They have huge leaves
We need more videos ❤
I think the unknown one might be immature camposportoanum
At 17:53
I really like to see potting content on some of these plants 😊
Thanks for all you do to help us newest of plant lovers!!
I love propagating and not knowing what I have until it grows out. Yours looks great!
I love mystery props too!! I just potted up a bunch 🥰🥰
Ooooo I have Pellonia! And i love it. I think it looks so cute in the hanging pot i have it in. The only thing i dont like is how slow growing it is.
Keep it hydro. Would be very interesting!!!
I would pot the aeshkinantus, it Will make New shuts by his own and get bushier.
How exciting your Clairanervium babies!!! I have my first inflow! Love propagations an updates on them. 💚Yea, I think your gonna have to bust the bottle if you want the Brandi out. Lol Hate it when that happens 💚
I have a young philo fuzzy petiole that looks very similar to that
ENJ💚YED Y💚UR EASY PR💚PAGATI💚N ALL YEAR R💚UND VIDE🟢!!!
I’m just trying to buy rare plants. I have White Wizard, Pink Princess, and what I think is a White Princess. But I’m not sure. Can you do a session on telling them apart? I’m watching from Ohio in the United States.
Are there specific plants that you find work better in glass prop jars? I’ve recently gotten sphagnum moss and would like to try using glass jars with lids instead of just open water props
Any tropical plants that typically enjoy high levels of humidity will benefit from propagation in a contained space 💚
@@TheJungleHaven thank you! 🪴❤️ I have a couple tropicals so I’ll have to give it a shot when they’re ready to prop! ☺️
Hi Claire! I can put plants in a prop box but can’t take them out without the leaves shriveling to a crisp and I have to start all over again. Is humidity the trick? Even with a humidifier it’s the same for me. I do live in a super dry climate. What do you do to acclimate out of a prop box? Thanks
Does the whole container need to be clear or is it okay for the lid to be opaque/ different color? Like glad plastic tupperware or sterilite bins?
Where this amazing bottles from? The one you wanted to break :)
I love your videos!!!
where do you get your moss
Think Claire gets the live moss from “Soil Nina”.
🤞👍🏻👌🏻❤
Propagating plants is fun, but I don't think I am very good at it
I wasn’t either, and then I just started doing everything in water and it’s a really good way to get started
Yeah, water is the only way I am able to get something to root, im still trying to figure out how to node propagation with pearlite, sphagnum is probably a better idea.
first :)
First with nothing to say 😐
@@zap4980 i'm sorry all you have to say is "first with nothing to say :|" rather than anything nice. hope your day gets better :)
