  • This is the version of Kare-Kare my Nanay taught me how to cook. We cook this every fiesta or if there's a special occasion or just for dinner. You can also do ox tail, seafoods, beef, pork belly, or even just the veggies (eggplant, sitaw, puso ng saging and pechay). And of course, you can't completely enjoy eating Kare-Kare without the flavorful Bagoong Alamang!

    Pork Pata KARE-KARE
    Ingredients:
    1kg Pork Pata (leg)
    1/2 cup Giniling na Bigas (Rice Flour)
    Atsuete (Anatto Seeds)
    Water
    4 cloves Galic
    1 medium-sized Onion
    Salt
    Patis (Fish Sauce)
    1/2 cup Peanut Butter
    Puso ng Saging (Banana Blossoms)
    Sitaw (String Beans)
    Talong (Eggplant)
    Pechay
    Bagoong Alamang
