This film really does get better as you get older. I hated it as an idiot 9 year old, but coming back to it aas a teenager, it is actually quite clever and likable. As an older audience member, I can appreciate the time and effort put into every frame of animation and can also notice jokes thst went over my head as a kid, like the ongoing "cuss" line. It really did age like some wine for me, and it is now one of my favorite films.
Dude we must be the same age as i watched it when i was 9 when it came out and watched it again now as an 18 year old and I agree one of my favourite films ever.
Love that the news reporter from earlier in the film is still there with his cameraman, late into the night, laying down the snap track in this song and being on it with that metal plate.
*"You wrote a bad song Petey!"* One of the most simple yet memorable quotes from the film. I loved this movie so much when I was younger and I still do; my dad would quote the line all the time he heard a bad song on the radio or online back then

Gotta say, I really like the way the human characters' mouths move in this film. They all seem to show a lot of personality, while also having the charming choppiness of stop motion animation. It certainly is a treat for the eyes, and this scene highlights it best in my opinion.

I love be that Bean is pretty chill towards Petey normally to the point where he even apologizes for waking him in the middle of the night to help with his vendetta but for this one scene he gets super annoyed because of the improvised lyrics.

Legit the best song in the movie tho...

Nicholas Fountain your last name is fontain? As in Frank Fontain from Bioshock? Would you kindly answer those questions?
I don't know why, but Bean's oddly intense aggressiveness towards Petey always cracks me up

It's the fact that Bean has a staffmember whose only job apparently is to play skiffle songs that makes this great.

Petey’s song sold so many album covers so quickly that Mr Fox had a cassette for it on his walk-sonic before he even started playing!
