Said it before and I will say it again, Leeds are the noisiest and the best fans in the country. They are also the best away fans I have seen at Anfield.
@rybolfc I was there at anfield few season ago, I know was only a cup game and not champions league where we see Liverpool’s atmosphere but was really gutted that your guys didn’t give the atmosphere we was expecting, would have been a beautiful night of atmosphere
@@seang2700 Its a tradition to clap the goalkeeper when the opposition goalkeeper defends from the kop side, it might have been that. My seat was in the lower kenny stand two years ago though, it go roudy with the Leeds supporters.
The tradition is to clap the goalkeeper, when he waves to show appreciation you shout 'Fuck Off'
@@unitedasleeds I remember doing in the mid 80's. I'm guessing it stemmed from the tradition of clapping goalkeeper's.
We'd all clap him as they walked towards the goal before kick off, then when they waved back we'd all shout fuck off and give the v's etc (even if they didn't wave back)
Nigel Spink from Villa got it, we're all clapping him waiting for him to wave back, he never waved, but just as he got to his goal line and just before we all told him to fuck off, he did it first, dead sneaky so no cameras could pick it up, but he got in there first, giving us the v's with both hands, and mouthing fuck off lol.
Both him and everyone in the Kop was pissing themselves. Good times.
C'mon. Leeds are decent, but we all know United have the best away support, even if our home support has gone down the shitter. Doubt you'll admit it as a Scouser though.

Back in the days - Liverpool won 5-0 against Leeds in 1996 at Anfield. Me being a young Liverpool supporter - where my favorite player back then was Neil Ruddock? Razor lad manage to scored twice ... BUT, what I remember the most? The Leeds United supporters singing "We are Leeds and we`re proud of it!" ,,, sing song with true passion, volume and pride. That part is still stuck in my head, I once again take a bow ...

In the championship your allocation is decided by the club your playing so it can be 1000 or 8000 depending on the club in question. In the prem/lge ( If you can remember what that is ) the allocation is usually 3000 across the board. So if ickle leeds ever get there they too will only get 3000 away tickets. BLESS

Best away days were when were down in League One, a lot better for the travelling support. The Prem is the jewel in TV's crown and moving games for the TV and sanitising the game has ruined the heart of football. A couple of games back, it took Sky all of ten seconds to mute the mics at our game. All for done for the television audience
