I just did an interview today. I tried to answer most of the questions by sharing an experience or situation from my current job site. Interestingly, I watched this video way after the said interview. Does it work? Yes, it allowed me to give them a smoother-flowing and more cohesive answer.

Yes, using examples and personal experiences from your current job site is a great way to answer interview questions, as it helps to illustrate your skills and experiences in a concrete and tangible way. By sharing specific examples, you are providing evidence to the interviewer that you have the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.
It's great to hear that watching the video after the interview helped you to give smoother-flowing and more cohesive answers. Reflecting on your performance in an interview can be a helpful way to identify areas of strength and weakness, and to improve your interview skills in the future. Good job with your job search.

I don't know why I become anxious. This isn't anything new to me. But was a homemaker for almost 10yrs. Got back in the workforce about 3 yrs ago, but searching new employment. It's overwhelming for me being "put on the spot", so to speak. How do you overcome that anxious feeling & effectively communicate your answers?

Hi, thank you for your awesome, no-nonsense tips. I wanted to ask if you could make a video (or if you have one, let me know how to find it) on how to find a job after being a SAHM. I stayed home for many years, I used to work in Customer Service and IT Help-Desk mainly. I have IT qualifications and speak many languages very fluently. I shortly worked in gastronomy last year (one year), part-time, just to have a small side gig (was making only about 500 a month and working only 6-7 days a month so I don't know if it's resume-worthy, also because it was not related to my field of experience).
I am trying to find a part-time, up to 30hs/week job, ideally remote, since my kids are grown enough that I have the time and mental capacity to work again. I also see my time as a SAHM as a positive, not only personally but also professionally (so much work unsung work goes into being a mum, right?); yet I am aware that this big "hole" (about 6-7 years) is something many employers see negatively. I would appreciate your view on this! Thank you!

I recently had a teams interview and they were dressed very casually, sweatshirt etc. one said it was their (Friday). Anyway during the interview they were both looking at their computer screens while I gave my responses. It was like they were filling in their thoughts to each question? Really from the beginning. Is this a common occurrence now? I felt like they weren’t interested. Also would you suggest I still send a follow up email or follow my instincts and move on?

It's not uncommon for interviewers to take notes during virtual interviews, but they should still be engaging. It can feel off-putting, but it doesn’t necessarily mean disinterest. Sending a follow-up email is a good practice; it shows your continued interest and professionalism. Trust your instincts, but a follow-up can leave a positive impression regardless of the outcome. Best of luck!

The hardest question that someone had asked me was, why should I hire you?. And I was very anxious because I didn't know what answer was. I was basically nervous I wanted to runaway!

Just the way you talk gives me anxiety, and drives up my blood pressure. Might be the way you make video cuts abruptly, as most people dont know anything about video editing

@@ProfessorHeatherAustin thanks for being a good sport.
Tell the person doing your videos, not to use use the swipe video/ audio sounds as a transition, they are annoying and not useful for this kind of content.
Those are only used in commercials and sales videos.
Also space out your video, so that that is space from one idea to the next.
Its Like writing your ideas on a page, you have paragraphs and spaces
