Watch as I create a large sized original abstract painting in my art studio.
This video also includes the frame being made and stretched so you can see the whole process from start to finish.

The finished painting is called Moon Safari and measures 300cm x 130cm after stretching.

Have you ever wondered doing an abstract painting with water colours only?
I have done something similar with a very watered down version of my paint - but not actual water colours - could be fun!

Gorgeous painting. The movement is mesmerizing. My only question is how do you name your paintings? I always find that to be the hardest part. Thanks for sharing your process.
Thanks Michelle. Naming is very difficult for me too; I normally rely on music titles from obscure instrumental albums!
Do you aply gesso on first layer or just using white paint? What a fun tecnique 😊😊😊❤❤❤

Thanks!. I buy the canvas with a gesso already on it then I normally base coat with a washed down colour before applying the paint.

Hi just found you, and boy am I blown away! Stunning is an understatement. I didn't quite understand you in one part, when you have finished painting you mentioned it will take a few days to dry after you put something on it, sounded like look? What did you call it?
Ah I think I said 'loops' - these are simply loops of paint that tend to have a thicker consistency so will need longer to cure. Hope that helps and thank you for the amazing comments and feedback!
Awesome! A question, I think I’ve heard you say the “paint is always trying to kill you” - how on earth did you come to discover this medium and choose it as the basis of your practice? Were canaries involved in the making of this career path? 😃 awesome stuff..., cheers...
Thank you! I got enamel paints suggested to me by a work colleague and the rest is history! I enjoyed working with them so much I have mad a career out of it!

Question...why do you stretch the canvas after you are done with your work?
Because otherwise it's just a floppy piece of canvas!!! I need to stretch it around a frame so that I can hang it on a wall.
What kind of paint do u use? Is it a kind of house paint in big cans?

May I ask you, which colours you're using here?
Do you mean the actual colours Michael or what paints am I using? If it's the former, then I am using white, black and gold. If it's the latter then I use enamel paints which are specially made for me. You can learn more about them here: www.swarez.co.uk/using-enamel-paints/
May I ask “what are you painting on” in this one?
Sure - it's cotton canvas, 420gsm (16oz) wit a primer from the factory,
Is the material you used in this study canvas cloth or a different product?
