I was only frustrated that so many people were commenting accusations and assumptions about the situations just like the people in those big OW streamer communities and how some commenters here seem to be jumping at the opportunity to lash out at anyone who didn't say so and so is right or these people are wrong, it was like looking at two sides of the same coin. Gonna be honest, all of the personal stuff proves nothing. It just proves you trust your friend. There has been a mass exodus of mostly DPS players in the Top 500 leaderboards over every season because people were cheating, being good doesn't mean you can't cheat, chess grandmasters cheat, professional athletes cheat. Being mentally unwell doesn't prove you weren't cheating, it just proved that the result had an impact on you. The fact is Blizzard has banned him multiple times, not Flats, not Jay3, not KarQ.
    Meanwhile 100% walling and aimbotting players stay for months. What to take away from that is up to the public, but there has been nothing substantial proving he was cheating except the bans, and nothing substantial proving that he wasn't at the time of his bans.

    • @brookss_
      @brookss_  7 месяцев назад

      the bans dont prove anyone was ever cheating. everyone gets banned for cheating. i say the personal stuff because i legit watched him play the way he plays now, in person. that means nothing on screen no walls no cheats just him playing normally. flats did have the impact of him getting banned because it started with his report. devs watch their streams, ive seen it and ive seen them come into chats from larger creators after raids. they exist. he got banned mid match on an alt account on an account he hasn't played on all day, with monitor cam on. that proves it was a manual ban especially since it was against another larger creator being super and there probably were devs watching both streams. especially since he isnt cheating lol. he was banned on every account at the time of that ban meaning it attached it to his hardware and every account he made following, making this the most frustrating string of events we have ever experienced in this game.
      this is a situation that NEEDS and DESERVES attention because the truth is not what people think. regardless i'll be trying to get in contact with people involved and in the near future LLK and i will attend events that have LAN pc's so we can have some sort of proof. there is no proof to him cheating to begin with and the fact that it's come to this point is sad

Unfortunately due to the nature of this incident and OW lacklustre design foresight, it is incredibly difficult to definitively change everyone's mind nor would it be both worth it and realistic, instead I think it would be much better to positively impact the community while repeatedly pushing any and all evidence of innocence until people eventually begin to think 'oh, maybe this guy cheated but he's reformed now' or 'maybe I was wrong and he didn't cheat after all'
      This is by no means a definite fix for the issue, but you do have to start somewhere, and these guys are at a massive disadvantage. I realise you may just say it wouldn't actually do anything or there's nothing like that you can do in the community, but from what I could tell OW is a major thing for these guys and they obviously want to get back into their good graces, so any effort at all is effort well spent, no matter how effective it is, it shows sincerity to the parts of the community that matters.

    I’m confused how people are poking fun at his mental health being ruined by this.
    As someone who went through something similar (twitter hive mind from the OW community), having people afk your games, call you slurs, say nasty shit to you every game, and spam report your accounts til they are banned, it becomes pretty brutal. If Overwatch is a passion for someone, and you ruin that passion based off of mob-mentality harassment, it absolutely can remove joy that is present in ones life.
    Instead of being so narrow minded, I urge everyone to consider the possibility that maybe this person IS innocent, and is being labeled a cheater based off of the word of some people snowballing bigger and bigger until everyone believes it.
    At the end of the day, I have encountered so many cheaters in OW, and yet for this specific scenario I have not been provided a single clip of definitive proof from any of the many people who have had the nerve to claim they are 100% sure LLK is cheating

I always thought it was crazy that keph could do some crazy flick and its perfectly fine, but if someone else did it they were cheating somehow. I did notice LLK didn't really stream that much this year, but the few times he did there were at least a few people calling him a cheater. I believe that everyone can get good at something if they try hard enough. If i had to guess it sounds like this drama has just resurfaced and is only now causing problems for either of you so you posted a video trying to explain it away but thats mearly the impression i got as a brand new viewer.
    I also found it strange how you criticized others for saying things without giving proof 5 seconds after claiming there was a livestream of LLK showcasing his natural talent, but didnt give any evidence yourself, no recording, no dates, no vods or anything, something you would imagine they would do if they had considered the hackusations to be a such a major issue at the time.

      2:40 I believe is an area where brookss explains the proof towards LLK's attempt to show he was not hacking. showing cams with monitor and hands and also shows ms32 which shows certain software programs, hardware programs, etc. there is only so much evidence you can give that someone is not cheating before it gets tossed aside as "cheats can be hidden from monitors" etc. the hive mind agenda has shown to prove that most people will believe big content creators such as the people who made videos on LLK originally rather than looking at all sides of the accusations. I respect your eagerness to see evidence firsthand but when it comes to proving innocence against an already false accusation now backed up by the majority, it becomes pretty futile.

      brookss was referring to his friend gaining constant hate from new viewers in his stream caused by the hack accusations. on top of the already banned accounts from being mass reported, keep in mind this guy was a smaller content creator. it would suck to see your channel grow but only because of hate viewers. it was a culmination of these reasons that most likely caused his mental to take a negative toll. which ultimately caused him to take a year break.

It could have been highly likely Flats and/or Jay3 may have seen those videos and decided to double down on their claims, which would have made this situation unrecoverable, I'm just glad they didn't see it so LLK and brooks can both have a fair shot without that mistake getting in their way.

Although that being said, I think with too much hate behind it. I hoped for attention to gather more support targeted towards LLK than hate targeted towards Flats. However it is getting both of those responses. Flats has heard (not confirmed to seen) about this video by the way, I have his response, he doesn’t care, not one bit. It’s not his job too either, I don’t think this controversy is even popular enough to have more content on it by those people. I just again hope, this brings support to LLK as the ultimate goal.

      @@RamitsuAcapucolae I've recently watch a few videos on cheating in video games and honestly its almost impossible to 100% prove someone's innocence with the wacky, undetectable and super complicated processes that literally sidestep every single safety process on the market to the point where its neigh impossible to prove credibility to an actually innocent player without being in the same room at the time or having a lot of good faith in someone which I honestly think the original streamers would have if LLK and brooks honestly pled their case or even showed how far this has gone and how badly its affected them. As streamers/content creators themselves I bet they'd understand even without proof, its not worth ruining someone's hobby/mental wellbeing over an Overwatch game. I have no explanation for the vitriol and downright malicious actions people take towards any cheater/faker/person(s) they dislike as of late, I'm an avid fan of a lot of Vtubers despite being relatively disconnected from the community but some of these streamers have been driven to attempted suicide or financial debt when fans learn of the smallest thing they dislike about their chosen streamer and freak out online, like its gotten super bad over the years and you can more or less only pray that you don't get any accusations thrown against you, cause it will permanently impact your reputation as a public figure, especially if only a select few know the whole story that the original crowd never come to learn.

Both on brookss' videos ads are at a minimum (probably required by youtube) which almost none of the revenue contributes to the creators video, while flats has ads up and running. flats' video hackusating LLK has 1 million + views, and information i gathered from socialblade (uses views to estimate revenue) gives an estimate of $529 - $4.2k revenue earnings, the basic median being $2000.
