Tywanah's life has been marked by resilience and self-discovery from the start. Born prematurely in 1975, she faced early challenges alongside her mother's battle with pneumonia. Despite enduring wounds from her charismatic yet troubled biological father, Tywanah confronted her past at 15, leading to abandonment by most of her family. Navigating the NYC group home system, she found solace in motherhood at 18 amid personal insecurities. Overcoming a tumultuous marriage and a disabling 2004 car accident tested her resilience further.
In 2020, Tywanah faced another test in a malevolent fourth-grade teacher who nearly broke her spirit. Despite moments of despair and estrangement from her children, Tywanah found strength through her ancestral lineage, spanning five generations, and her spiritual connection with her mother. She now inspires others to embrace authenticity and inner strength, symbolized by her journey and her creation of Black Butterfly Goddess as a beacon of hope and support.
