You mentioned that you sat around for half an hour after dropping anchor. Was he waiting for sunrise? On the pacific coast it's illegal to fish for salmon before dawn, so often anglers will arrive at the river well before dawn to claim their spot, then hang out until the sun starts to rise.
hello guys I'm also a tuna fisherman living on an island in Italy, Sardinia, I follow you often, I wanted to know if possible which lines you use and which terminals and hooks you use, how long does a fight last on average, the longest how long it lasted and how much it weighed, thanks, greetings, Antonello
Very nice. Tuna is my dream trip. Unfortunately, until fuel prices come down, the boat I go on has had to suspend their tuna trips, as they go all the way to the canyon, which is like 120 miles offshore. With that said, I went on the Dot Com back in May for one of his haddock charters. We did pretty good. Caught about 50 haddock and a couple dozen reds.
@@aaronstestlab nothing economical about boats. Like the old saying, you have to pay to play. I have a Calvin Beal 44 and I do long sunset cruises for groups, they bring their meals and booze and I supply myself as captain and the music. It's pricey but you have to make a buck and provide a safe enjoyable atmosphere. Mine are 4 hour cruises, 2 hours before sunset and 2 hours post sundown. The down east Maine boats are the perfect platform to succeed with what I do.
@@aaronstestlab so you made about $300 bucks? That's not bad at all. That does make sense why they don't show the processing on the show. I suspect it would be shut down pretty quickly if they showed it.
He probably waits to tell you how much he got for a few weeks so there's no way to go back and look at how much he actually got. He can't run a business without knowing how much he's getting paid.

That's a good theory...I really don't know

Nice!
I saw the rainbow over the water 5:24
I wouldn’t mind fishing with Dave
He's honestly not that fun to fish with. If I were to do it again I might see what TJ has available.
Nice…!
So you didn’t even get any fish?
Got 10% back on the market price of the tuna
Hell you should have gone 50/50 on that fish.
Yeah, it wasn't an economical trip that's for sure

2000$
Damn
Yeah, I don't know that it would be worth it twice. But once in a lifetime, sure!
So how much was this fish worth?
$3000
