    Insane album. It sounds like an odd mutant straight out from a dangerous bio lab. It's dark, horrifying, monstrous, brutal, and beautiful.

    Mezzanine is one my favorite albums of all time. I remember being a teenager and watching "teardrop" for the first time on MTV and getting completely blown away by its beauty!

    I was always partial to Portishead, where trip hop is concerned, but it’s an undeniable fact that this album is a fucking masterpiece, and holds up beautifully to this day. ✌🏼

    i've always loved the production but now i turn on the rolling lyrics feature with spotify and have a newfound appreciation for the lyrics. reminds me of early surrealist automatism

      Sudev Sen Tricky is definitely one of the best in the genre, he worked extensively with Massive Attack. Check him out if u haven’t yet

      Sudev Sen Absolutly must listen to Tricky. Also, early Morcheeba too (Skye Edwards on vocals -- especially the albums Who Can You Trust? and Big Calm). Goldfrapp (Alison Goldfrapp did vocals on Tricky's first album, Maxinquaye), Portishead, Everything But the Girl (especially the album Walking Wounded).

      Broadcast...and Sterolab....Sneaker Pimps! and Beth Gibbons and Rustin man (lead singer of portishead) If you want newer, try Braids - Deep in the Iris...kinda closer to bjork then just trip hop...there is also Tei Shi's first two EP...I got more if you'd like
