Anonymous;Code takes some understanding of the Science Adventure series to wholly appreciate, but its world-building is what I would regard as some of the series' best. It acts as a culmination of ideas seen throughout numerous titles, creating an unconventional experience that is extremely rewarding. Despite a few stumbles found in the cast and the ending needing a bit more time to be fully realized, what's here is an immaculate story with brilliant pacing that makes every scene and interaction meaningful and necessary. The fantastic English dub and presentation only serve to help matters. I have no idea where the Science Adventure series will go from here, but after seeing the sheer love and ambition poured into Anonymous;Code, I'm more confident in this series than I've ever been.

Pixel Perfect: (coming soon!)
The fact that you've arrived here―rather, to this save point―at this moment in your life is nothing short of a miracle. It delights me to no end. Step through the stage's curtain; rip off the mask of the wizard who pulls the strings. Close the loop. Hack into God.
I wouldn't say I was on the fence about Anonymous Code, but now I'm definitely getting it!
I'm honestly shocked this game even has an English dub since most of the time they usually don't even bother dubbing these type of games to save costs.
With saying that I'm very glad it has a dub and it's much appreciated they gave the player the option to pick which audio language we prefer. Will check this out when I have the chance.
Other AA Chunsoft titles like Rain Code and Danganronpa were dubbed. No reason why this one shouldn't have been
Cringe.
I think it's because it doesn't work as an anime.
Can't wait to play it after I finish Chaos head noah, it's romantic spinoff and then beat Robotic Notes, Chaos Child, it's romantic spinoff and finally Robotic Notes Dash
Same 🤣🤣🤣
Hey you both know the romantic spinoff of Chaos;Head Noah (Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu) isn't actually translated to English yet? But there is the romantic spinoff of Steins;Gate in English, Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace, along with another Steins;Gate spinoff, Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram.
Then as far as the main series games, the ones available in English are Chaos;Head Noah, Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes Elite, Chaos;Child, Steins;Gate 0, Robotics;Notes Dash, and now Anonymous;Code is available too.
Oh and Occultic;Nine isn't available in English either. Nor is the romantic spinoff of Chaos;Child, Chaos;Child Love Chu Chu. And you can get Steins;Gate Elite but it's actually worse than the original Steins;Gate because it cuts a lot of content out of the game.
Hopefully at some point we'll also have Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu, Chaos;Child Love Chu Chu, and Occultic;Nine, but right now, those are only in Japanese. We do have most of the series.
Oh and there is also the fighting game Phantom Breaker Omnia which has Rimi Sakihata and Kurisu Makise in it. It's fun but not really part of the series, they are just bonus characters, but it's still fun to play. Not much plot in Phantom Breaker Omnia though, well it does have a few scenes in story mode showing the plot but it's kinda unrelated to SciAdv. I like it because I can play as Rimi fighting against Kurisu and then have Rimi beat Kurisu up really badly and say stuff like "My delusions are awesome!" Oh and it is voiced in English too, just like Anonymous;Code. Good times.
Wow. Such high praise. I'm glad Anonymous;Code is great! Hopefully more great games will soon come from MAGES.
English dub for SciAdv is a big W.
Cringe.
Ive only played the steins;gate entries but am super stoked for Anonymous;Code. Hopefully I'm not too lost on the references
You might actually miss some references since A;C also references the Chaos; and Robotics;Notes series too even a little Occultic;Nine
Thank you! I'm not too concerned with the missed references. Anything I might feel lost on ill do a little deep dive on. Also, didnt we not get occultic nine in the west? Seems like the general experience of this game will be spotty for most. I also ordered the Chaos;Child and NOAH double pack off woot for 20 bucks so I should be okay~ @@Wee-Ah-Boo
@@jjmini Sadly we only have the light novel and the anime here in the west but then again even the original light novel haven't even finish yet and Chiyomaru said that he won't be touching that series for awhile so don't expect any O;9 stuff soon
But since you already played Steins;Gate you can basically understand 70% of the references that they've shown, also if you still have some extra time after reading A;C i HIGHLY recommend both of the Chaos; game especially Child. I personally like Head better since it was the one that introduced me to the SciAdv franchise but story wise Child is more polished
Thank you for the recs I really appreciate it~ I always planned on watching the anime as a backup if we dont get it here in the west but maybe ill just skip it altogether and wait for the inevitable return that might come with a western release lol.
Everything ive read and watched and thought about has made it seem like Head is the game that is more appealing to me haha but ill definitely give them both a run....once I catch up on other stuff I need to work through. Still have Digimon Survive and Rain Code sitting on my shelf sealed and yet im replaying Neptunia Re;Birth3 waiting for my copy of A;C to come lol. Have you played A;C yet?? @@Wee-Ah-Boo
I thought the girl in the thumbnail had sleeves made of giant ears lmao
English dub is a good thing. I doubt it'll sell well but if it does well enough English dubs for future games hopefully will be more likely. I've got this is the post but I don't think I'll play it until December just to get my backlog cut down a bit, I hope we get steins gate 0 elite.
No. Dub is never a good thing.

It's about time!!!! Greatest visual novel series ever!!!
Happy you're excited! A great series indeed
Is the music in background from this game or Steins;Gate?
Also, I was planning on playing this game, but seems like I should play Robotic;Notes and Chaos;Child. Already played Steins;Gate and 0.
It's Gate of Steiner from Steins;Gate as the song in the background. R;N and C;C aren't needed to understand Anonymous;Code, but you really should read Chaos;Head NoAH if you're gonna read any other titles first (the prequel to Chaos;Child), since it ties into Anonymous;Code
This is great news, as I wasn’t sure how this game would turn out. Recently caught up with the series after Noah came out last year, and been itching for a new release for a while now. Might wait a bit for the first sale since I won’t be playing it right away with too many options on my plate, but I feel confident I won’t regret it!
2:40 I definitely don’t think you need to have experience of the previous games. You’ll just miss the Easter Eggs and nods to the prior games.
I felt the ending/third act a bit lacking but I agree with the point about its visual style. Also just how dense with action scenes this game is and it does a good job on conveying high tension scenes espicially since so many scenarios are against a ticking clock. Out of all sci adventure games this one feels the most like a action movie.
I also have a soft spot for Momo who is veyr proactive for a love interest.
0:00 Was that Yosuke from P4 I heard?
Actually, Ryuji from P5’s voice actor.
@@HotTakeAndy Oh cool
I wish there was more Liddie Kumar too, but I might be biased because I voiced her 😊
Is the main story fully voice acted on english?
Yup
never finished steins but just tried again at half way through, have chaos but only started it. now have receive anonymouse code to start asap. dunno if this will not be the best way to do it
idk kinda hoped for genius script of Mages...but it look like something that fans of Stains Gate won't enjoy
It’s different for sure
It's going to be better than Steins;Gate
@@villadavid1997Lol really doubt it. Characters are not a strong point in this title and it was rewritten almost a dozen times. It's really a more or less for the people interested in the mechanics of SciADV
@@averageman4873 For the record, I don't even consider S;G the best entry in SciADV. So it's not even my standard. I've spoken with many people who already read the title in japanese in the past year, and almost all of them said it's one of the best, if not the best SciADV vn
And why rewrites are a negative thing? Steins;Gate could have also benefitted from some rewrites instead of putting together the story in like 6 months. The result is that its mechanics and plot are so lazily constructed compared to the Chaos; games that it is hilarious. I want to see the same effort they've put into the Chaos; games, and if they rewrite this game 7 times to perfect it, then I'm pretty sure they put an effort
What do you mean? This game was practically made for Steins Gate fans specifically
Amazing Rev as usual
I haven’t played any of the games ur referencing so the constant references go over my head, I am looking for a brief review no spoilers or story premise summaries
It’s the newest entry in a series of adventure visual novels…good luck
Yeesh! This game was just thrown out to die, huh?
Yea in a sea of huge releases
Btw, i clicked on the video but i didnt watch it. Ive veen waiting for this game since 2016 and ive avoided spoilers for 7 years. Im not saying this has any spoilers or not, im just being safe. Also, Azario promised to read the first chapter to me whole i go to sleep if i became a patron. Im going to be collecting on that promise!❤❤
Yeah I definitely need to get this
Superrr excited to play this
Given what i've heard about the game, it seems like an improved version of Yuno (Given the "Going back in time with future knowledge" scenario)
Is it okay just to play Steins;gate and Steins;Gate 0 and then jump to this one? Or should i see a summary of the Robotics and Chaos VN to get a better picture? Although in the review they say that you should play those, but i read a lot of comments and reddit saying that Steins;gate duology is the only most necessary to fully enjoy most of this one.
I totally think you could start wherever. This game is very different from Steins;Gate or Chaos;Head. You’ll just miss the little Easter eggs and nods to those games, but it’s not that big of a deal.
I don't understand why Chaos;Head Noah wasnt released on PS4. At least digitally. The whole (translated) series is there including spin offs but for some reason one of the key entries isn't?!
Looks great 😊
Balls to the wall? 😂
i've gone through Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head is that enough to get most of the references?
Yup
Spoilers
This game tackles the simulation theory better than Nirvana Initiative
Is the music from this game or Steins;Gate?
This looks and sounds amazing, unfortunately I thought Stein's Gate was so incredibly boring, plodding along through the lives of boring people, and I couldn't finish it! What do you guys think? Should I watch the Stein's Gate anime before watching this? Or just read a Stein's Gate plot outline? Or is it even necessary before playing this? Reviewer spoke of the Stein's Gate sequel as even more boring than the original... ugh! Is it even worth it, lol
Is robotics notes Dash essential to read first?
Probably
Not really, but if you like the series and character connections then you'll get some good stuff from DaSH
@phantomxero1x447not C;C before C;H tho
Is Occultic;Nine being translated?
Maybe, for now the best option to experience o;c is the novel
Damn, leggooo
Did you just say "sensical"?
zobacz co nagrywam
Ah was considering this but it's a VN... AND (more importantly) not the first/only in a series? Pass. It looks cool and all but not for me. 👍
Bought this game based on this review and I am just shocked at how TERRIBLE this game is! The save/load time travel mechanic is TERRIBLE! You don't make any decisions and have to reload (time travel) when you fail. You have loads of autosaves that look identical the title of the save is identical. You can not tell which time loop number the save is. Loading & saving is really confusing . Sometimes the manual & auto saves are separate, sometimes listed together. Sometimes you try and do a manual save into an empty slot. But you just get an error that you can't overwrite an autosave. Unlike other visual novels where you have a clear decision/choice with consequences. In this game you load a save and MAYBE the story will be a little different. But often not. You are just reading the exact same lines again and again randomly pressing R2 to see if this triggers the main character to time travel. This is so repetitive & unrewarding. This mechanic makes the game the worst visul novel I have ever played
I never played any visual novel games except AI somnium. If this like that ill get it otherwise skip
The art is kind of ridiculous lol, but as long the story is good..
I can't stand the dub. Just sayin'.
The worst of the video is u talking
💀
Dude its a fucking *review* video what else is he supposed to do?
Why you tortured me with garbo dub cringe from the very first seconds?
And the whole review is using trash dub. What's wrong with you?
