Behind Sammy Moniz’s catchy Instagram bio lies a sweet story of how keeping a visual log of her and fiancé Mat Fraser’s meals went viral with @feedingthefrasers.
When most people think of CrossFit athletes, the adage “food is fuel” may come to mind, but in the Fraser household, it runs a bit deeper than that. Instead, food stands for connection, relaxation, and nourishment.
In this video, Sammy explains the differing roles food plays in their lives and shares how working with a WAG Nutrition Coach has helped her find the perfect balance between their love of food AND its ability to fuel her goals at home or on the road.

Sammy is the reason Matt is what he is in my opinion. Matt is a beast but Sammy is the reason. The best part of their relationship is he knows this and gives her the credit. They are a fantastic couple to watch and what I Strive for in my relationship. I love these guys. Genuinely great down to earth people.
Lets hope shes on the payroll and doesnt have a prenup, she deserves all the money and publicity she can get since shes totally devoted and dedicated to this man

Just finished to watch it and I’m sooo happy about having that insight. Nutrition is my black sheep and because of it, I feel unfit every time I step into the gym. And yes, sweets are appealing but deadly, it’s short-term pleasure working against your long-term feel-good goal.
I love their dynamic. Sammy and Mat really seem to have a dance that works. It’s fun and cool to see how they absolutely support each other and play to each other’s strong points! Great vid and hope to see more with them!
