This should look excellent when finished. We are thinking around 10K gallons but could be a little more...
The system is run from 2 Diffuser Bottom drains, each running into a Nexus 320 Auto.
They will both return via a 110 EVO UV. The Nexus will be split into 2 returns per unit. So 4 returns back from the Nexus.
There is also a 24" K1 Microbead which will run from one of our custom Skimmers.
The System will be using Varipumps and Airtech Air Pumps.

That ain't a pond that's a swimming pool 😂 looks great Tim can not wait to see it finished 👌 wish I had the money for something half the size of this keep up the good work
I will be there this weekend to fire it up!
Incredible pond, heart and soul gone into that. Well done!
Really like the new intro. Looks amazing. So does the pond. Thanks for the video. I love the fact you walk through EVERYTHING. After watching all the questions are answered. Cheers.
Thanks mate
Good advice Tim for any one starting up their 1st pond and for those who have forgotten because their ponds have been so clear for years, cool video again cant wait to see this 1 done
Evening Tim, super Pond Build cant wait see the finished product, your rants are 100% needed they share your expertise no need to apologize its good advice thanks for sharing takecare
good Rant tim...makes sense
Hi Tim lovely pond love the new intro !!! Can’t wait for part 2. Great advice about the filters and pond set up keep it up cheers.
Love it!! Looking forward to watching part 2. I totally get your advice on allowing a ponds eco system to sort itself out. I’ve been guilty of attempting to sort things like green water out only to make water quality issues worse. I learned a big lesson very recently after using a product ton remove water born algae. Unfortunately, I did not take into consideration the algae consumed vast amounts of nitrates. The nitrate readings went up, before I realised what was going on, water quality went down the proverbial pan. I wished I had just left things alone. It’s all sorted now, but it took me a while to get things back on track.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing the progress on this pond. I am sure it will be superb. Regards: Alex
Wise words on stability - couldn’t agree more. I used to get asked all the time with my reef tank how it matured so well - set it up right first time and don’t touch it 👏🏻
Too many appealing new products always coming out and everyone wants the newer stuff.
My 4x2x2 reef is easier to maintain then my 3000 gallon pond
@@TimWaddington thank you I will work on that! I'm sure that my pond is going to love . That is beautiful and have a great idea t da
Hi tim wot a great pond a brilliant set up can’t wait to see another video on this one mate
Fantastic looking pond can't wait to see what it looks like when it's up and running
That's gonna be a great pond when it's finished can't wait to see the completed pond.
Another cracking pond, and great advice on keeping things stable, I've seen by switching my beads to K1 micro in my bead filter has thrown everything out this year.
Great video, amazing pond, looking forward to part 2. I’d guess nearer 11,000 than 10,000gallons with the filters.
Thats gonna be a stunner of a pond Tim ! My guess including all pipework and filtration must be around 14000 gallon . Big ass pond 💪💪
Easy 10,000 can’t wait to see it complete 👌
Love a educational rant 🤣
Keep them coming 💪🏻
I'm loving everything about that Pond.
Five returns, it is going to look steaming hot if I may say so.
Such good advice, I’m sure this pond will be fantastic when complete.
I also really agree with stability and routine. Since lockdown, and WFH I've been able to clean twice a week, Sunday and Wednesday, doing the same process and water change, and my water quality is better than it's ever been.
Exactly! It improves water no end.
Great to see some curves, very similar to my current project, just 3x the size 😮
You’re right, not many curvy ones these days
Wowzer that’s a pond looking forward to part 2 of that 👍
Well done that guy. Amazing 👌
Hi Tim I am a great advocate of the nexus. I have 3 on my pond, but just wondered why you haven't gone down the drum route like most dealers are doing these days.
Nexus are by far the biggest selling filter for Koi ponds Sarah. By the numbers of Nexus sold this year, I would say most dealers are using Nexus.
@@TimWaddington why ? does that make them the best ???
I think so, yes. That’s why I have so much confidence in the products. There are many different types of filtration and many different opinions, this channel shows my opinions.
Stunning pond can’t wait for part 3
Thanks for sharing Guy's, got me licking my lips. Great advice as always.
Looking forward to the next episode
That is some pond so cant wait to see the finished project 👍
Love the new logo!
🙏🏻
Fantastic video Tim love to see the finished video will have a guess at ll,600 gallons
Great video & pond.. I’m gonna go for 12000 gallons!
Brilliant advice Tim, cheers
Cheers tim👍
Now thats a pond 👍
Will keep that cleaning tip in mind good call , some people iv spoken to say the auto kit emotys both inner and outer chamber but surely leaving outer tap shut will just empty middle
The auto kit will take the outer chamber down around 4/5” lower than a manual clean so you do use more water, but it’s stable.
Wow that’s going to be unbelievable!be able to swim with em if you get the biggest heater you got on it Tim😉
It will be heated at some stage!
Liking the new intro
Would be interesting to see the fibreglass going in.
Awesome curved ponds , I’m getting fed up seeing rectangle clad or wooden sleeper ponds , getting all very samey..Don’t know what it is with brits but most ponds look like holding tanks in a shop instead of integrated into a nice garden
It’s because the majority of homes in the UK have very small garden areas, impossible to get a in ground style pond. Some can but most have small gardens, especially on new home builds
Such a lovely place "The Garden of England" 🏴 (KENT).. 👍 What a pond and to think he could of gone Bigger 😂 specially with these kent Gardens, but lovely tho
Pozdrawiam serdecznie cię kolego👍👍👍👍👍
Exactly the same shape as mine!
Great vid and advise. What camera are you using ,? Looks great
My iPhone 11 Pro Max.
I'm going best part of 13k gallons Tim.
I need to ask u a question if I may? Thank you by the way for your videos. So my question is how to keep that green string like alge from a taken over my newly finished pond? Thank you dd from California.
Treatments really. It’s never easy to deal with it but there’s not much you can do to stop unless you find a way to reduce your Nitate.
@@TimWaddington do I have to put anything I mean it's clear and the fish are healthy. But it smells and its stringy. But that u for the advice.
Is there a reason why it was made a raised pond instead of digging deeper? I just look at all of the exspence of bricking and a cement base. It is like a semi in ground swimming pool.
There are many more raised ponds now. It’s down to what the owner wants, also if people have small children or grandchild visit, you have to think of the safety aspect too. Most ponds are raised now because people want windows
Where can I buy those returns? Been looking around for something similar but have had no luck
Me!
Tim, Would the eco system change when adding a pond heater later, rather then at start? Thinking temps and flowrates?
Yes of course.
What makes you go solid blocks over hollow then filled? Planning a 2500 g pond. Would hollow blocks be overkill?
They would be fine. We just prefer solids
Haha so meany horses in Kent you can tell you don’t come down that often it’s turning into a concrete jungle
Alan Small back again tomorrow!
I’m in Medway area and our little green spaces are disappearing fast I was in suburbs but now it’s edge of town hence moving up north and taking me koi with me can see welsh mountains out of front windows and koi pond out the back 😊😉👍🏻👍🏻
Amazes me that people are still buying Nexus's. They are a good bit of kit and ideal for some scenarios but their failure to deal with fines is so frustrating. My 220 was blocking up and running dry within 48 hours on 2600 gallons in summer. No way could I have trusted it to go on holiday, and once you pay for the auto cleaner you are in drum territory price wise.
Maybe you just didn’t set it up properly, that’s what it sounds like to me. What’s the auto system and drum price point got to do with it? Speaking to a guy who had to buy a 220 because he couldn’t get a part for his drum, 4 weeks... imagine that going when your on holiday! Would be a disaster.
Also since the 210 the Nexus has come with a bypass which you can set to make sure the Eazy won’t blow, for when you go on holiday.
Totally agree, I used Nexus and could never solve the fines issue. Now use a drum and a sealed bio filter, crystal clear and minimal maintenance. Cleaning probably every two weeks is plenty. With the nexus I was forever cleaning.
@@TimWaddington Problem with the bypass is that you set it low and dirt/water bypasses the bio and goes straight back into pond leaving an Ammonia problem, set it higher and when the Nexus blocks the water can't flow through the bypass fast enough to keep up with pump so Nexus ends up empty. Had to buy a Drop in Draco for mine, perfect crystal clear water ever since and spare parts delivered next day. EA should have put a drum in years ago instead of this expensive auto clean thing.
RS2OOO I have clients who have no issue with the bypass and use it all the time. Once ammonia is present it must have been the set up. The only ever problems I find with Nexus systems is when they are not set up correctly.
I thought building pounds in England is illegal. Everything is illegal in England.
