I think you would really enjoy the "Genshin Concert 2023 Melodies of an Endless Journey". And I'd love to see your reaction to it. It's not just a concert of music of all so far available regions, but it's also beautifully produced, partly with CGI transporting the orchestra and viewers into the respective Genshin region. :)

My opinion is: I wouldn't worry about spoilers. These trailers are intended to be watched and hype up the update before it releases as they're shown during the livestream that happens 2 weeks before the update goes live. Sometimes it does show important spoilery bits from the quests, but they don't give any context and are intentionally misleading because they take voice lines from different quests and mash them together, and also don't match what's on screen. And since Grim just started playing and seems to be taking his time (which is a good thing!), it'll take him a long time before he reaches this content especially if he ends up watching the Sumeru, Fontaine, and Natlan trailers. He'll be months away from experiencing those.

Everyone needs to relax about spoilers. These trailers were shown during livestreams, and plenty of people enjoy watching them to get hyped. If you prefer to avoid that, then that's on you. Plus, a lot of these content creators don't even dive deep into the gameplay; they’ll play a few patches and then drop the game. And even if they stick with it, they’re not going to remember every 3-second flash that pops up on the screen.

man, Inazuma archon quest aside, the 2.x updates really were peak.
2.2 Labyrinth Warriors still being the best roguelike battle mode (never to be seen again 😣) + Tsurumi Island world quest
2.3 Dragonspine event making people have trust issues
2.4 Shenhe interlude + Enkanomiya release with HUGE lore drops
2.5 Raiden's 2nd story quest + Enkanomiya event with even more lore drops
2.6 Irodori festival with tons of foreshadowing + Chasm release
2.7 Perilous Trail being another iconic interlude quest
2.8 Golden Apple Archipelago 2.0 having so much character development for Kazuha, Fischl, Xinyan and Mona
maybe it's the nostalgia speaking but I don't think I've ever been as excited about every Genshin update as during 2.x phase ever again. Also waiting for 2.0 and Inazuma release was CRAZY, people used to search for every lore crumb about Inazuma they could find, the leaks were flooding everywhere and the overall excitement in the community was over the roof, great times haha ❤

26:05 - The "side quests" are events added, and unfortunately they were limited and not available anymore. (Some characters literally got really important lore in some of these events - Albedo & Scaramouche)

Version 2.8 was my most favourite summer event. It was so beautiful and showed so much background of these four characters.
Now 2.8 has a fierce battle with simulanka which was like a dream. I still can see the broken sea clearly before me.
Speaking of Simulanka.. You need to react to "Benediction of Dreams" and maybe another song from the Event.
Maybe other players have a suggestion.
It resonated so strongly within me while i gazed at the "Broken Sea". The most beautiful location in Genshin if not any game i'Ve ever seen. I don't know if there are still videos about the scene, but you should look at it while listening to the Benediction soundtrack which played at the loaction there.
I spent hours there gazing into the twilight.

The trailers (and the game itself) really start ramping up starting in 3.0. Can't wait to see you react to those!
The spoilers in these trailers are minimal, and you won't be getting there for awhile anyway. So it's nothing to really worry about.

58:43 This track plays only in that archipelago, which was only available in the map during the first 2 summer events. The fact that we rarely hear it in game makes it even more beautiful❤ If you like to listen to the whole piece it's called "Faraway Solicitude". Tho that version in 2.8 preview sounds mellowed down. (Yes they make different versions of these tracks for every use 😂)

Regarding your question about weapons, when you see a full set of weapons displayed those are craftable ones, so you don't have to pull for the, you make them, you only need the blueprint, given sometimes as reward ofva quest but lately the blacksmith of each nation sells them to you for 30 rocks and 20 flowers or what ever xD

Watatsumi Island's OST is my favorite from Inazuma it reminds me of Zora's Domain from Zelda vibe wise I love spending time there. Enkanomiya and Tsurumi Island are also beautiful to me but in such a haunting/tragic way you'll discover
Fun fact Scara has some nods to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody 🤭

Based on later events, I'd say the developers were trying to stretch the game engine significantly for Inazuma and it turned out they weren't ready to do that yet. There are a few places in the main questline where it's obvious things got abridged, even though character story quests done later, and even more so later event-based storylines in Inazuma, have provided us with a wealth of background information explaining more about why and how things happened they way they did. I'd say the biggest problem was they couldn't get allied NPCs in combat quite yet, and arguably they're still trying to tweak that system as in every subsequent nation they keep adding things which were clearly intended to synergize with protecting or healing allies and therefore don't really live up to their full potential.
That said, the base writing here is actually pretty good in full context - it's just that you won't be given some of that context, and the pacing also gets more strained at points than for Monstadt or Liyue.
Dragonspine was mostly there very early on, and in fact could have been considered the game's initial "endgame zone" although this was partly due to the greater difficulty in exploring there with the more limited cast of characters (the game guarantees giving you everything you need and a bit more, but not everything you'd want). That said, there are elements about its presence and history that have been repeatedly revisited by event storylines: in fact, the "summer vacation" event before Natlan opened touched upon it.

How I WISH shadows amidst snowstorms was permanent!!! Unfortunately it got the event treatment and can no longer be played. But, I do highly recommend watching some footage of The Chalk Prince and the Dragon followed by Shadow's Amidst Snowstorms after you eventually do Albedo's Story Quest. They're all very worth it and have some of the best and interesting lore in the game. But thst can be a bridge you cross when you get to it.

This is really a question of how you "see" things. If you play/watch/read 10 other things and do daily and professional work together, you'll forget most of the "spoilery stuff".
So it's your decision, most of other new players have watched this much before playing anyway.
However if you wish to avoid, then you can react to the OSTs of the rest of the version trailers. They are released together as an album!

Inazuma is the nation i felt the less welcome to, there is war, alienated people within the islands, no one is allowed to get in or out, with out permission which was denied even for traders, even Tha damn wheater eas aga3us, and yet at the end is still my favorite nation, you will see, feel, and breathe the drifrence we make stepping to the Raiden's land of eternity.

Save your wishes, next patch we have Xilonen and Nahida.
Nahida pairs really well with Tighnari that you also got and with cheaper units like Kuki and Xingqiu.
Kinich and Raiden are not bad but id wait for Nahida.
And build the characters, spend resin, level weapons and talents and artifacts, or you will have problems with the dificulty.
And sadly Inazuma is the worst story i think, after that its just bangers tho.

Unfortunately most of the gameplay mechanics that you see at the end of the trailers were limited time combat or gameplay events. And many of the game great stories are limited to "Flagship" or "Main" events that go away in the version that they are shown like Dragonspine scene shown in 2.3 trailer or multiple Lantern Rite festivals we had over the years. We are still praying that Hoyo finds a way to replay previous story events for new players. That is what I like about HSR is that they implemented these main events as permanent content but with less rewards so that everyone can play it even if they miss.

It is a shame not to be able to experience many of these updates myself unless they do come up with a way to bring them back.
But honestly there's still so many awesome things about Genshin to get into and I'm sure there will be other timed events in the future I'll be able to be a part of :D

    • @josuemorera4185
      @josuemorera4185 8 дней назад

it's quite rare that they don't, maybe it's for code reasons or simply because of things with the weight of the game in general, unlike star rail and ZZZ, which are related to an area of the game which does not change, it makes the storage not go up as much, but most of Genshin's big events modify the map and keeping that data can cause storage problems, one way is to give the option to delete files already played, but even Honkai impact took about 7 years to implement that, and even its events are still not permanent because they are not canon, even so the canonical ones like those of Captainverse are not permanent, I think it has more to do with the fact that Genshin came out right after Honkai impact therefore they did not have the experience, which they took advantage of to implement those functions from the beginning in following games, for me if they put permanent events, it would be in a hypothetical part 2 like Honkai impact.

Honestly I think you need the context. We also watch the livestreams before a version drops and there aren't really huge spoilers in them. We can speculate on a few things but Hoyo does a good job at not showing too much in their version trailers

Always sad to see people spoiling themselves by watching these. Besides story beat spoilers, knowing which characters will appear, getting glimpses of bosses and where you'll fight them, just seeing these sceneries for the first time ingame after a long journey makes all the difference.
Trailers turn speechless awe into "Look, that's the thing from the trailer".

It's a little different watching these casually as a fan vs. making content while watching them as a new player.
Almost every day I'm inundated by new things in games I've never played and my main focus is always the music which ends up being what I retain the most from these.
