Great video - For that last hard to grease fitting - I did just what everybody else did, I rotated the fitting so I can get the grease gun on it. these grease point are not high pressure so there is no real chance of leaks etc if you loosen the grease fittings slightly. But great video
Over 500 hours on my Radius. I grease all four points every 25 hours. FWIW I use a right angle attachment on my grease gun for both wheels and for the zerk at the back of the deck. For the zerk under the engine, I just rotated the fitting to point to the rear and the straight grease gun fitting works fine. No need to do the disassembly you are going through.
Thanks for the video it was very helpful . I just did mine thanks to your video and they put the right grease fitting on mine so you can get at it easily .
The last zirk was pointed down for me as well. I jacked the rear to get a good look at it but in the future I'll probably just be able to lock on without jacking.
Thanks man. Good video. Funny note, I trained to become a mechanic with the USAF back in ‘09. I’ve been calling them grease CERTS for 14 damn years and nobody ever corrected me. Lol.
I really appreciated the video! I bought my Exmark Radius E in Spring of 2021. Don't know if it's actually a 2020. That last grease fitting on mine was pointing down and east to get to so maybe they saw your video and changed the placement of the fitting. Thanks for the videos!
Look into those vertical spindles on the front wheels. They used to have fittings years ago, but they eliminated them. But they need to be taken apart and greased. Or you could add a fitting to it by drilling and tapping a hole.
485 hours (residential) on my 4 1/2 year old 60" Radius E, had a couple warranty covered problems...........but for the most part, I'm happy with mine. Keep it lubed, do your oil changes, keep the deck clean or you can break belts, give it some Seafoam once a year and it'll do fine. I'm cutting 5 acres/week, run it 2 - 4 hrs. at a time depending on rain/darkness.
Thanks for the great video. However, at the 4:45 mark is it possible to use a small wrench and actually turn the grease zerk itself about one quarter turn just enough to reach with grease nozzle instead of removing the other part?
On mine that last grease zerk was accessible with great difficulty. It was pointing in such a way that I got the grease gun fitting on it. I had not seen this video before I did it.
I guess you got lucky with how they screwed it in. I turned mine to be easier to get to after filming this video and seeing other people’s comments. Thanks for watching!
The lady I bought my house from left a me Exmark Pioneer and trying to find a concise maintenance model short of a PHD thesis on engineering is impossible. There must be 20 different models! And secondly, why aren't the barring's packed instead of circa 1970s grease gun technology?
Thanks for that video that helps a lot I wish you had one that would tell me how to fix my engage button for the blades it's not engaging as of tonight
Well done but, wow, what a pain. It seems like really poor engineering to need to grease an upside down, impossible to get at zirk! Bad move ex mark. Couldn’t a sealed or shielded bearing have been used in some way?
I ended up splurging for the bull dog jack, as well. It’s made that job a lot easier. Before, I used a vehicle jack with a block of wood to allow for more travel up, but that method had a lot of room for error.
So thier only 3 oil fitting on the new ones,, I like to know, , im highly getting one, but I am doing my homework before I buy, this is a lot of money to put in one
Should always run at full throttle while blades are engaged. I typically run 1/2 to 3/4 on levers for forward movement. The latter depends on current cut quality and grass thickness. If you don't like how it's mowing reduce forward speed but always maintain full throttle.
Please refrain from making videos about what you know nothing about. You don’t need to take the mower apart just give each point a couple squirts of grease each time you mow that’s it
Thanks for your comment. I made his video according to intervals and procedures included in the service manual. Please refrain from making negative comments and adding disinformation to the context of the video. For the record, I use this mower commercially, so “a couple squirts of grease each time” would not be efficient. Thanks for watching.
Nice video ! On that last grease zerk fitting I just turned it pointing it down its now easier to grease.
I did the same thing on my radius X series!
That's what I was gonna say. Just turn the fitting to where you can get on it.
Thank you guys, it was way easier turning it downwards.
Which direction did you rotate the zerk fitting? And did you just leave it in that position permanently?

Thanks your video saved me time and your method was easy to do.
7/16 wrench if the grease fitting is stand and spin it clock wise toward you so you don’t have to take the 9/16 bolt loose

Awesome video. I thought I would need a jack or lift. But I don’t, thanks for what you do!
Excellent video. Very helpful
Fourth fitting was pointed down on mine, luckily…. Great video!
Thanks man. Good video.
Funny note, I trained to become a mechanic with the USAF back in ‘09. I’ve been calling them grease CERTS for 14 damn years and nobody ever corrected me. Lol.
That was a very useful video!

Useful. Thanks for the video.

Great job.... thanks
Nice job! Thanks
Love my Radius. Just hit 60 hours. Thanks for info man👍
Just purchased a radius last week can’t wait to mow with it
It's an excellent machine! You'll love it.
❤great video
Very important info.i Us the red lithium grease.

You can back off of the grease fitting 1/4 turn, so it faces outward. Apply the grease and retighten the fitting.
That's what I did. Much easier
That is what I was thinking.... Turn the fitting...
Thanks for the great video. However, at the 4:45 mark is it possible to use a small wrench and actually turn the grease zerk itself about one quarter turn just enough to reach with grease nozzle instead of removing the other part?
It is, but you'll have to remove it to get to that zerk. I did that, later on.
Very helpful because I could only find 1 now I now whare the other three are thanks
Very informative thanks
good work thanks
Just rotate the grease zert to point down so you can easily get your grease gun on it.
Nice video it’s easier if you back it on some ramps for the that last fitting. Also I have a newer model and it faces downward now
Hey thanks for the video, is that a 48" deck ? do you have enough to run trim pass with it ?
On mine that last grease zerk was accessible with great difficulty. It was pointing in such a way that I got the grease gun fitting on it. I had not seen this video before I did it.

@@foster_williams Still a great video. We all learn as we go... :) Your Fluid Change Video was good too.
My 2023 radius E only has them on front casters now
The lady I bought my house from left a me Exmark Pioneer and trying to find a concise maintenance model short of a PHD thesis on engineering is impossible. There must be 20 different models! And secondly, why aren't the barring's packed instead of circa 1970s grease gun technology?
Get a small washer and put it between the grease zerk and it will clock it towards the back
Thanks for that video that helps a lot I wish you had one that would tell me how to fix my engage button for the blades it's not engaging as of tonight
Have you checked fuses?
My Radius X series doesn't have grease fittings on the front wheels. Mine is a 2017 model.
Well done but, wow, what a pain. It seems like really poor engineering to need to grease an upside down, impossible to get at zirk! Bad move ex mark. Couldn’t a sealed or shielded bearing have been used in some way?
Nice job, any obvious or not so obvious tips you could offer to a newbie? Did u get a jack to clean under the deck?
If you have exmark mowers, there’s a jack that easily connects on the front. I think it’s called a bulldog jack.
@@jaggersmith4027 Got it. Worth it.
I ended up splurging for the bull dog jack, as well. It’s made that job a lot easier. Before, I used a vehicle jack with a block of wood to allow for more travel up, but that method had a lot of room for error.
Mine doesn’t have a grease fitting. Guess I can borrow the one on the spindle
Instead of removing the bracket to grease serk why not just loosen it a quarter turn?
So thier only 3 oil fitting on the new ones,, I like to know, , im highly getting one, but I am doing my homework before I buy, this is a lot of money to put in one
Having trouble finding a spindle replacement
Good video. I have a 2023 radius e series and can only find 2 grease fittings, is that correct ?
I have 2022 Radius E, 48" deck and I have 4, just like this video shows.
How to hydraulic fluid change
Mine will be due for one this spring. I'll definitely make a video showing how to do that. Thanks for watching!
Just posted the video for that!
How many hours do u have on it and how do u like it would u buy it again
In short, I love it and would definitely buy it again. I'll make a review on it soon. It currently has around 79 hours.
How high do you set the throttle for mowing?
Use mine at a 17 acre cemetery, I run 3/4 throttle
Should always run at full throttle while blades are engaged. I typically run 1/2 to 3/4 on levers for forward movement. The latter depends on current cut quality and grass thickness. If you don't like how it's mowing reduce forward speed but always maintain full throttle.
Any recommendations for grease?
I use Shell Rotella ET.
These grease points are not actually intended to be greased by the average homeowner I assume.
Can we get this tccc shit done already
Just turn the grease zerk
Hi
Nothing like playing "TWISTER" just to maintain a piece of equipment!!! SMH
