What color should we use for the vinyl/carpet flooring? What sound deadener do you guys like? Any advice for paint to use for those rear panels? Thanks for watching!
Do you think you could brush on some epoxy or fiberglass resin on the back side of those rear panels to strengthen them and make them a little thicker?
Hey man! Love your channel, thanks for checking my stuff out! I had thought about that and will probably try that or something similar. There’s also a guy on instagram called keypanels that makes really cool repro panels.
My 4Runner (86) came from Arizona the those back panels pretty much fell apart when I took them out. Built new panels out of 1/8" plywood and wrapped it in carbon fiber car wrap. Came out really nice. Also made a cover for the tailgate and also for the back of the rear seats.
I was thinking about that but not sure if that liner is safe in an interior space? (For breathing) I reached out to Lizard Skin which is a spray on insulation and they said they’re the same as Kilmat, just a different application (spray vs stick on)
After getting stuck deep in a bog hole and ruining all my carpet I removed it and ended up keeing the exposed metal look. I actually prefer it this way as its easier to clean and I can just access the drain plugs! 😂
The cut wires in the rear may have been to a trailer plug. The black molding around the windshield isn’t sealing it, the windshield is sealed in with black adhesive. The factory windshield had clips and metal trim around it. You can put silicone under it and tape it down flat, then it will stay. 🤘🏽
Hey RM, I have a 1985 4runner SR5 5 speed with a weeping firewall or something in that area on the driver's side up besides the left foot rest. any idea what the culprit is?

It's to bypass the safety switch on the tailgate that stops the back window from working.

Windsheild seal is no bueno, mine started after I had the crack factory one replaced twice now, going to see if three times a charm.
What about cleaning up those rear side panels and then gluing a carpet material on them? Keeping the side panels and somewhat preserving them.?
I thought about something like that! Something to kind of hold them together.
Safely reliably and comfortably.
So you mean you bought AAA? 😂
