Today, the middle class is angry. They are angry because of the repeated stressors they face in their life. Today, the middle class has to bear high cost of living, taxes that are a burden, complete apathy from public servants, no justice and a feeling that they are all alone

Infrastructure development I think is more of regional & local issues. Union Govt is building good hard infrastructures under Gadhkari that's what under Union list.
But I think the state & local governments are failing to develop infrastructure as per local needs and unlike China they aren't accountable & oversighted to the Central Government that's why no pressure or incentives to work.
I was crying watching this video. My husband was struggling with cancer and finally died. We both have been paying taxes fromthe last 20 years and when we need some help there is no support.

But when my phone got snatched from me in the night in Delhi, the police person that came to the location after reporting asked me by abusing ki BC tu raat 11:30 baje bahar kar kya raha tha. My father came by the time and heard this and then gave him an earful that ki teri vardi utarva dunga, then, he said sorry.
In this country, if you don't show or appear that you are rich and powerful, they treat you like shit. I was wearing a Tshirt and shorts so... got this treatment from the police officer.
I studied in a government school, so i had this feeling to give back to my nation, thus i stayed here instead of going to US despite having H1B.
Biggest mistake of my life was thinking that i can make a dent and make this country a better place.
Now i have realised that i need to move to a better country. This country is not for honest people.

Only agricultural income is tax free but that can be said because of no GST on various commodities too. Search special economic zone. Land taxes still have to be paid also agricultural land cannot be used for any other purpose. So if you have land please do farm and don't pay income tax on sale of vegetables and fruits nobody is stopping you.

I live in 4th largest city of Jharkhand. I pay my taxes, my father paid his taxes his whole life, my grandfather paid his taxes, but still to this day we do not get basic things like 24hr electricity, quality medical care (no good hospital in the city), etc. We are slaves and tax is a burden.
But do we have choice.... no other government has ever reach near to middle class than the existing one...

Being a Bihari I totally agree with you. The corruption in bihar is at peak level. From contractors to UPSC civil servents .. 90% of them are corrupt. I have seen even people steal street lights from highways which causes darkness in major towns or near by villages. Municipality provided tap water connection in my town. But in 2 days most of the taps have been stolen. And again in few days the water connection also cut for the people. Contractors, labours, workers steal the cement, sand or bricks from the corporate construction sites and use it to make their personal home. New roads are broken within 10-15 days due to poor constructions. And there are a lot of scenarios. Now people are so used to it that they don't even bother to raise their voices toward this injustice.

The worst part is my father got sick last year and needed surgery to place an AICD in his chest. The procedure cost around 8 lakhs, with a total medical bill of about 12 lakhs. Unfortunately, no Swastaseva or government schemes could be applied, and shifting him to a government hospital wasn't possible due to his need for 24-hour surveillance. The mediclaim didn't cover the entire bill, leaving us to pay around 5 lakhs out of pocket. We managed by using a credit card and then liquidating some investments to pay the bills.
Now, here's the ironic part, my father, who has paid taxes his entire life and saved for retirement, has to pay tax on the liquidated amount (from investment, if not invested inflation will eat away the money) because of a medical emergency. This has pushed him into a higher tax bracket. I'm not an economics expert, but this seems like an insane policy. There should be better tax benefits for retired individuals over 60 and for medical emergencies, beyond just the 50 thousand limit.

That is the sad part of our tax system. My father who paid income tax all his entire working life and also after retirement as his income came under that bracket. However when he was suffering from cancer the entire amount he saved had gone for his medical expenses and still he had to pay his income tax. This is quite an unfair system. People who have been diagonised with critical illness or people who are supporting their dear ones with critical illness the government doesn't care but they have to pay their income taxes on time as they unfortunately come into the income tax brackets. There is no support system for these people they have to pay expensive medical bills at the hospital, most of the money is going into treatment and medicine cost. There should be a system in place where people with critical illnesses or people who have paid income tax for say 30-35 years should be spared in the income tax scheme. The elderly people should be allowed to spend their money and allowed to relax at their tail end of the life and they shouldn't get worried about paying tax. We also need to bear in mind that these people are paying GST for all the services /goods that they are purchasing atleast they should be taken out from the income tax slab.

One of my friend passed away last week in a road accident, since then I've been observing my surrounding and realised most of the roads are prone to accidents and are badly maintained. We play with our deaths everyday, I live in Bengaluru and we have crores of people using this high risk infrastructure.

I'm a VLSI Engineer from Bengaluru, my TAX slab is at 30%. I file it without fail. But my State Govt has decided to spend precious tax payers money on stupid schemes that don't really contribute to development and has nothing but political agenda. I'm so saturated that I'm considering moving out to some other country!

Imagine you are paying 30-35% income tax and you get potholes, dirty/smelly and unclean public places, polluted air, irregular water/electricity, incompetent and arrogant public servants etc. A person wont mind paying high taxes if hes getting quality infra and facilities in return. This is like charging 5-star hotel price for a roadside vada paav. Also this is not unique to this govt. every govt. that came before has done the same thing, it has become a culture now. This is why A lot of high income Indians are leaving India. A lot of them still love India but they know that things are not going to change drastically in their lifetime and hence they decide to leave.

The roads are unsafe due to poor construction, leading to collapsing bridges and train derailments that result in loss of life. Whereas an individual will pay taxes on gross income and then pay for his expense
The tax system is made unnecessarily complex
In India in order to buy a car we first have to earn the money by paying 30% tax
Then comes the GST, Road Tax, Insurance, and many miscellaneous charges
Then in order to use highways we have to pay Toll tax
Then more than 100% on fuel

As a taxpayer, sadly we don't get any Social Security like Health Insurance, Child Education.
LTCG increased. STCG increased. Indexation benefit removed. STT increased. No reduction to old tax regime.
I have sold my property with 2x appreciation over a period of 16years. I have to pay 4 lakhs extra LTCG tax due to removal of indexation benefit. I am in old tax regime since it encourages savings.

2. Property tax on owned property - Approx 18K
3. GST on everything

In the European countries, people pay taxes but they get great quality of benefits and that's the reason Indians want to settle in those countries.

From my Salary atleast 25k is deduced as tax every month. In my district there is a need of a fly over to avoid a railway crossing from past 35 years and still not even planned. No development in past 10 years and now my city is part of UP’s SCR region. I would have a fly over if I would have saved 25k every month and got it constructed myself.

I pay more tax per month than my rent in Bengaluru (because I compromise to stays in crowded, loud noise, almost outskirts of Bangalore because of high rent).... So many capable lawyers and activists are present in the country who fight against many odds in this country. For example, fight for Ram Mandir, Petition against abrogation of Article 370, electoral bonds etc. but I wonder why none of these activists feel that this tax matter is also an important issue!!! Why don't they file a case for this matter against the govt. in the Supreme Court so that reforms can be made in this area and common taxpayers can get relief?? They should do this, who has the power to do so.
Everyday when I come out of my house I see broken roads , clogged drains, no sewer system, no traffic rules , 😤 traffic jams . I just leave the house at night when I can . At least my peace of mind is intact. Also my humble request is do a video about Meghalaya too.

My Father works in railway and gets about 12L annual income and has paid 1.08L tax from it this year, also being central gov employee our family has no access to any gov schemes, no reservation .....

We need to pay tax 6 lakhs we earned as a profit for 9 months, in which I haven't included salary or wages for my family members for not working 9 months. What about next year's investment and cost living for 9 months, loans, education etc.., you may be thinking, yaar I have paid 50 rs for 1kg tomato's, in 50 former would have earned Max to max 20 to 25rs . The person who is selling those tomoto's earning remaining 20 to 25 rs. I agree with you farmers should pay taxes, who are earning much more money @AbhiandNiyu

In karnataka, current govt is giving so many freebies to poor ppl like free buses for women, 2000rs for unemployeed youth, 2000rs for women in a family, free electricity upto 200 units etc etc. I pay 50k tax per month, not eligible for any of these schemes, no direct bus for my office hence opt auto to commute to office only to reach office on a bumpy dusty traffic filled road, later fall sick due to polluted air, suffer and get back to work again. No benefits no savings. Only pain n sufferings.
That's why leaving this country is my biggest dream
