Not a mechanic but I seen this issue with different things. Coil gap the hotter the saw gets the worse it gets. Needle Valve issue in the carb gets worse and have seen bad ones new. I noticed it has the green fuel cap which was the eco model back in the day known for problems. That's why I made sure my 346xp was none green cap or eco model. Husqvarna had issues with these models
I think a trigger job would probably help with hole shot and accuracy. Response time from brain to carb is crucial so adjust linkage accordingly especially the brain adjustment screw. Hell I have no idea, it’s 4 something AM on a Thursday. 😂
👍👍 good luck with it. Probably wrong, but guessing the carb adjustments need to be micro managed. Normal 1/4 turns may be too much and if the wind starts blowing from the east- going to have to tune it again.
Got you beat on the race to boom!😅 Took me about 5 trys but my g372xp is at .014" squish now. Its got a base gasket cut out of a 12 pack carton, a regular base gasket, and a .005 shim gasket stacked( 268 pop up piston). I have to get something to bury it in. All I have tryed so far is 12 " southern live oak. Very hard but only 12". So far no boom. About 2 mm more stroke, .001 less squish, ever played chicken?😂 Tag. Not really let me put some heat into this saw first see if I make contact. Got a new 28" neotec lite bar and chain that was on sale on amazon and a lightning struck 100' tree to test it on.
Just when we all thought it was finally fixed🤬 if SD takes it on, hopefully it won't give him too much headache.

As you know crank seals sometimes won't start leaking till its GOOD and hot!

Just ship it my way, I'll figure it out. Have a 3 day weekend coming up so i'll have some time
I have a nos cyl kit, bearings, Gaskets and seals ready and waiting for a complete rebuild of mine.
Could be a fuel inlet needle issue, maybe the metering lever height setting needs tweaked.
👍👍 good luck with it.

👍🏻 have a couple saws that respond to ⅛ turn like others do at nearly ½ turn.
Use starting fluid to find the air leak

It would have to be an air leak
Have you done any Troy built saws? What’s an easy mod I can do to make it a little stronger?
It’s a42cc

This may be your Eleanor🙄😏

🤐👍🏻
I can tell you Really want this one to do well, but sometimes you got to just step away take a few before it gets to be not fun
How about ya turn the idle screw in a bit. Just saying.
Hey novice which brand of chainsaws is top tier quality? Husqvarna or Stihl?
Same. I prefer Husqvarna, but I am smart enough to understand that is just my preference.
Send it to me if you want , ill get it lined out. I have parts on hand for them to.
Thanks Corey, I had already worked a deal with Dave and just sent it his way. Hopefully, I'll never have another lemon!
You’re welcome
I’ll look at it if Dave doesn’t wanna do it. Mail it
Dave already said he'd look at it. You're welcome to "look" at my 2156.
