I met with Mark when I was working on Kauai. I was fortunate enough to visit him and got to see how he made the wood lures. I personally own a large selection of his wood lures (lost count after 40) ranging from 1/4 ounce to 6 ounces in koa, box elder, hau bush, mango, honduran rosewood burl, amboyna, etc.. Each of my speial collection is truely a masterpiece. Sometimes its hard to go fishing with them as I dont want to lose them. So far so good. None lost, but many fish caught. I only use them for freshwater fishing. Thank you for this video because now I have a glimpse of how the ceramic lures are made. Mark is a special guy with a special skill.

I like how Mark White began with pottery making and then experimented into lure making. I have a friend who is great at making animal pottery and I told her, "you should start making fishing lures!" Responded with an LoL 🤣
