We ran the 20/20 on our last planter and I plan to install it on the new to us planter. It really gives you confidence in what is happening as you plant. I was at day 2 in Webster City and the food was excellent 👍
Nice! Good food and nice venue! What kind of planter do you run?
@@iowANFarmer we have a Deere 1775 for a planter and a 1990 air drill for beans and cover crop
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO BEN 😊
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for taking the time to explain what the new technology is in terms that we can understand.
Thank you. I do my best. It’s not always easy!
Wow!! Lots of very cool info 😎 👍. Thanks 😊.
You bet!
I know Reese Ivers was at a Precision planting conference too. Did you meet him? They run the planting & reclaim system. They’re on the boarder of Illinois & Indiana, they farm in both states. Really nice family farm. They post every Sunday.
I’ve met Reese but I don’t believe he would have attended this one. There were some locations closer!
I’ve been watching our farmers for years. I’m amazed at the tech. I’ll tell ya Ben, all the farmers using the precision planting equipment use a series of colored flags to track emergence. They’ve all seen a more uniform emergence. Which I learned, the first one’s up produce the most yield. But, TripleRFarms (Alabama)hasn’t had good luck with the speed tubes, they bend & twist in their soil. All the reclaim system users love it. It saves them chemical & helps from the tips getting clogged up. Welkers got a “see & spray” system. Coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It actually plays the Star Wars theme during the test run.
I’ll have to check that out!
@@iowANFarmer Welkers’ system isn’t a JD actual see & spray. Can’t remember what it’s called. They retro fitted it to Big Brute. The stats on saved cash from only spraying the weeds vs blanket spraying, plus using programmed sprays. It just looks super cool too with all the colored lights so u can see the spray. The very first video of Nick setting it up, at night, pitch black he did the test run. The sprayer played Star Wars with the nozzles & the lights went with it. Coolest thing ever.
Ive had good luck with p.p. products. Seen nice increase in yields with delta force over springs, and have it documented . Would love to have the gen3 ,its a small computer.
DANG HEART RATE MONITORS just lost my job 😂😂. Had intentions of going to Owensboro KY but the winter blues hit me. Might try to see what they have at the N F M S in Louisville. Thanks much young fellow!!! 👌
We should be there!
🚜🇺🇸🗽💡👌
That's a lot of information. 😏
🧠
Interesting information....Human health is key to success in making right decisions, having some form of telemacis or over sight of farm machinery, management, with all this information coming in from screens a simple process with soil n seed planting will plan efficiently planting. If look from economic view piont you can see your average plant cost/growth from start to tracking when harvest. You should be able order better amounts of chemicals, fertilisers, parts, fuel which having better budgets to buy upgrades or updates to farm machinery. Soil profiles is another interesting piece as machinery size/weight=compaction, planting at right time? Other then row cleaners, maybe tank system like spraying injection of water to help even uniform of planting plus tool bar like harrow break hard patches n taking out weeds added to your existing planter? This vid definitely got my attention n thinking 🤔
Great questions!
We had nothing but problems with precision stuff sold it and went John Deere and love it
Sorry to hear you had problems!
