I have a brother that is a Sargent in the Phoenix PD and he can not believe that a cop guarding the President of the U.S. during a rally was informed that there was a shooter on the roof, and climbs a ladder to confront an active shooter, and he does not radio anyone?! My brother smells something fishy, that’s not how police move. That cop would have radioed in and said he was going onto that roof to investigate the claims that there was someone in the roof with a gun. Once again a will state what my brother told me, there is no way that the cop did not radio back that he was climbing a ladder onto a rooftop to investigate a claim of an active shooter without radioing in.

I have heard about 90% of the local police were reserve or part time officers. I would think the officer which retreated from the roof was a poorly trained part-time/rent a cop or reserve officer, that would be my guess. It has also been said the Secret Service saw and were aware of the shooter but didn't do anything till after he started firing on the President. I think the problem started with the Director of Secret Service and her refusal to provide more support.

I know it sounds bad that a police officer retreats from a suspect pointing a rifle but lets look more closely at the ergonomics of the situation. You are climbing up a ladder. This requires at least one hand and one foot, just to stand in place on a ladder. To advance up a ladder, uses both hands and both feet. Any painter or roofer knows how difficult it is to climb onto a roof with tools in their hand. Let alone proper stance and use of a handgun while transitioning from a ladder to a roof surface, any tactical person understands the advantage of ‘the high ground’. Imagine your head just reaches above the roof line and both hands are occupied and there is already a high powered rifle pointing at your face. He could have been murdered right there on the spot. There are other news outlets saying the officer then ‘let go and fell’ he didn’t casually climb back down the ladder and say ‘oh never mind then, carry on’, he probably was dazed or injured, that’s a 25 foot fall. I have fallen from 25 feet from a ladder and was not knocked unconscious but had cuts and contusions and was seriously shooken up and dazed and it took a minute to assess my condition and start to stand up, throbbing in pain in multiple areas. If this officer recovered in an instant he probably went to get backup and its a tactical challenge to be on the ground versus armed gunman on roof.
Watched anther video where they interviewed a Navy Seal and he reported that his sources from Boot on the Ground, that the Secret Service had the shooter in their sights for a few minutes and were told to stand down. Something seems fishy here.

If bystanders were filming the man on the roof, where is the footage of the police officer encountering him? Did they yell a warning to the shooter? Did they not communicate to all other officers in the area? it seems like this is all not legit.

I have heard about 90% of the local police were reserve or part time officers. I would think the officer which retreated from the roof was a poorly trained part-time/rent a cop or reserve officer, that would be my guess. It has also been said the Secret Service saw and were aware of the shooter but didn't do anything till after he started firing on the President. I think the problem started with the Director of Secret Service and her refusal to provide more support.
One account I heard was that the cop that spotted the guy on the roof was standing on someone else's shoulders, so it's possible that he wasn't able to use his gun.
Why is nobody asking the question: how did he even manage to get INTO the venue with that item..? How do you hide such a thing while walking in? It defies belief! Seriously 😮

I heard this Saturday evening. It was from one of the eyewitnesses that saw the guy on the roof and alerted a police officer. They said that the police officer climbed up the ladder to confront the guy buy he pointed his rifle at the cop so he came back down the ladder.

I still have questions regarding this encounter!! We heard about this, but there hasn't been or rather I haven't heard any follow up on this. We heard about this encounter on the same day, or maybe it was the next day, but there has been zero follow up. Why aren't the journalists who we see in the video following up on this??

I know it sounds bad that a police officer retreats from a suspect pointing a rifle but lets look more closely at the ergonomics of the situation. You are climbing up a ladder. This requires at least one hand and one foot, just to stand in place on a ladder. To advance up a ladder, uses both hands and both feet. Any painter or roofer knows how difficult it is to climb onto a roof with tools in their hand. Let alone proper stance and use of a handgun while transitioning from a ladder to a roof surface, any tactical person understands the advantage of ‘the high ground’. Imagine your head just reaches above the roof line and both hands are occupied and there is already a high powered rifle pointing at your face. He could have been murdered right there on the spot. There are other news outlets saying the officer then ‘let go and fell’ he didn’t casually climb back down the ladder and say ‘oh never mind then, carry on’, he probably was dazed or injured, that’s a 25 foot fall. I have fallen from 25 feet from a ladder and was not knocked unconscious but had cuts and contusions and was seriously shooken up and dazed and it took a minute to assess my condition and start to stand up, throbbing in pain in multiple areas. If this officer recovered in an instant he probably went to get backup and its a tactical challenge to be on the ground versus armed gunman on roof.
Watched anther video where they interviewed a Navy Seal and he reported that his sources from Boot on the Ground, that the Secret Service had the shooter in their sights for a few minutes and were told to stand down. Something seems fishy here.
