Reverend Macklin is headed for Lodestone where his father was killed 25 years before when the Indians burnt down the church. He plans to rebuild the church and minister to the people, but all he seems to do is stop the gambling at the Silver Palace Saloon. Marty wants him to build on the other side of town and will finance the new church if Macklin moves, but he will not. When Marty is robbed by a gang of outlaws one of them hides the money in the church altar. Macklin finds that he has been ordered to San Diego due to his lack of accomplishment, and it might take a miracle for him to stay.
This movie left me with such a wonderful feeling. Mickey Rooney was a very gifted actor. Sad what he had to go through in his life. RIP
"To bring man closer to God." ---Beautiful!
How simple the truth is mask behind so many lies🙏 But God is Good 🙏 to God be the Glory 🙏
Really love this movie! I miss these feel good films. Mickey Rooney, Hugh O'Brien, Colleen Gray were fantastic🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Same here! Movies and tv shows are all so dark and depressing nowadays!
This is the second film starring Mickey Rooney I have watched today. He was a good comedy and drama actor, which only great actors achieve. The film was a little gem.
Wish we have more movies like that today❤️
Love Mickey Rooney! His films are always a pleasure to see. So talented! God bless him 💘
I can't remember where I'd read it but, I believe it was Cary Grant was quoted as saying he thought that Mickey Rooney was " the most talented man in Hollywood". I don't think he was too far off the mark. Thanks for this obscure gem. Mickey was multi talented and could pretty much do it all with style and credibility.
Be sure to catch Mickey in Rod Serling's THE COMEDIAN"!
I'm an old movie buff but never heard of this one. Thank you for sharing it.
THIS WAS NEVER SHOWN HERE IN MANILA AS WELL, JULIE! HEARTWARMING INDEED...I JUST FINISHED WATCHING IT FOR THE 2nd TIME!!!
What a precious movie! Thank God, for you!!!...
A treasure trove of great films, beautifully photographed, great stars with charming innocent stories that existed only during that Golden period of Hollywood History which lasted way too short a time period.
What a great little film!
I am only into this movie for 30 minutes and I love it. Never knew this movie existed.
Same here, never saw this before...it is a good movie!
To the young preacher that may be viewing ... Be faithful to God's call and hold tight to faith .
Love Mickey Rooney movies. Great feeling always. Thanks!!!
Mickey plays this part so perfect, to me! I wish they had movies like this today!!
I AGREE, JULIE! MICKEY, THE SMALL MAN WHO PORTRAYED MANY A BIG ROLE IN THE SILVER SCREEN WITH VIGOR @ VERSATILTY!!!

One planted, one water and The Lord gives the increases. Amazing love. Thanks. Shalom
This movie got me cheering in the end. Thank you👏
You're welcome!
I enjoyed this. I'm used to Mickey Rooney mostly as Andy Hardy, so nice to see him play a role like this. Thanks for sharing.
God works in mysterious ways! 🙏🛐✝️🥰
Good Movie 🍿
Mickey Rooney wrote the beginning theme song! Cool. Talented guy!
I recommend National Velvet for another good Mickey Rooney movie.

This was a beautiful touching movie. This cleans a man's soul.
That was a very nice comment! Glad you enjoyed it!
Really charming and well made film. Great script, cast and vibration.
A beautiful picture of how faith & sacrificial love can move mountains.
But it's fiction.
MICKEY ROONEY, YOU WERE A LITTLE PERSON IN STATURE, BUT WOW!
YOU WERE A GIANT IN THE EYES OF SO MANY.
REST IN GOD'S PEACE. I HOPE TO SEE YOU SEE YOU IN GOD'S GLORY.
YOU AND ME AND A BILLION OTHERS. AMEN.
Mickey Rooney came to our local jc college awhile ago. He and his wife put on an hour show. He was a warm person and great guy.
What a wonderful uplifting movie. I loved it! 💕🙏🙏
Glad you enjoyed it
First time seeing this movie. Very inspirational.
A beautiful movie. Thank you
Surprisingly good movie with lots of unexpected plot twists, interesting characters, and a great cast of up and comers. Rooney is very subdued, nothing like his typical brash persona.
Great movies , their will never be movies like these again. Now days all you see is nudity, cursing, the time of great movies has gone never be any like these again.
*The 400 years before Christ was born...I wonder how many people said: "Well, nothing GOOD will ever happen again!"........Then JESUS showed up!!!!!!! Well, I wouldn't UNDERESTIMATE God if I were you my friend. ~By the grace of the Almighty...I just sent my original music to The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. and I called Outskirts Press (good friends with Barnes And Noble) and they're VERY INTERESTED in my new book idea!!!!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!*
Such clean movies are rare !
Mickey started acting at the age of 5, love mickey..
He went by the name of "Micky MacGuire" back then
Great movie of faith.
Good movie! thanks for sharing it ❤️
WONDERFUL!
This was a lovely movie. Thank you for sharing.
I never saw this movie but it,s great!
A delightful movie. I had an unexpected laugh, however, when they showed the sky as they were riding on the stagecoach-when a jet stream showed up across the sky!
Totally fantastic movie 🍿. Love it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@robtw88 I did love it. You are so welcome.

A good movie. Thank you for sharing.
Love this movie!
I loved it.
love it. They don't make movies good like this anymore.
Too, too beautiful!
Amazing!
Going my way....western style.
Another great picture show.
Thank you thank you thank you for the upload. I have been wanting to see this forever and you made it possible.
WOW! That "Touch Connors" sure resembles Mike Connors, the TV Private Eye of the 50's
Had a good chuckle jet flying over head vapour trail can you spot hint wagon desert apart from that is a nice movie👍
Really to bad so sad that I can not watch this gr8 movie,
Reason is that I love horses so much that. Some movies the horses get hurt like fall on their ribs, so it's hard to see this happen in these Hollywood movies!
They should have mention from the beginning that no animal will be hurt in this movie.
This notice sometimes appear at that beginning but not all.
I know you will al totally enjoy this movie for sure.
May God bless and thank you Rob W for sharing!
Lol a black & white Gangster Movie feels nostalgic - as though those days seem like Better days😮... So they appeared.
🙌😂JESUS is COMING🔔🔔🔔
Thank u so much for the upload
Wonderful stuff
Nice movie
I'm watching this movie because Hugh O'Brian is soooo fine 🙂 😍
Thanks for watching
The love found only in Christianity...the sacrificial spirit like what Jesus did for us, we do for others.
The love found only in Christianity? Such arrogance.
Such a giant talent in such a little package.
great watch booooom
Great movie.
Mickey Rooney ~ anytime!
Remembering Mickey Rooney born on September 23, 1920. He was an American actor. In a career spanning nine decades, he appeared in more than 300 films and was among the last surviving stars of the silent-film era. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Rooney
Also Hugh O'Brian is pretty good here too
Hugh O'Brian played that roll so we'll! The whole movie was great!! May their souls rest in peace. Amen.
And fellow posters who love this movie, don't miss "The devil and Daniel Webster" 1941 ("All That Money Can Buy") with Walter Huston as the evil one himself !
Never enjoyed a Rooney Movie as much! Unrealistic? Maybe. Did you believe in the goodness of Mankind for just a minute? Hollywood, as jaded as it has always been, at least at one time, gave us hope!
I dont beleive in the goodness of mankind.I do beleive in the goodness of Almighty God that shines through mankind.
In the comments below many are lamenting the gone-by golden age of Hollywood which was due to the Hollywood Code of Ethics that was lost when the founding priest passed away in 1962. We can have the golden age of Hollywood back again by implementing those ethics again.
Love the old moives great
10 stars
lovely movie.
Hey its Mannix !!!
Great old movie
I love these movies and Mickey but kind of funny that Mickey Rooney teaching an Indian, how to fish Indians who taught pretty much everyone on how to catch fish :)
He a good person not many around maybe none
How lucky they had a wheel chair in Lodestone.
Интересный актер,харизматичный.
Thanks so much for this, I've been looking for this for years! Ya got anymore rare Rooney? Such as the godmother, Richard, my, pal the king, and there are a couple more from qwerty 1956 that escape me at the moment. And that is just to name a few
Have you seen THE BOLD AND THE BRAVE?
Lolol remember the Lord rested on the seventh day mickey rooney says and then he tells people to attend church on Sunday lolol. Sabbath is Saturday.
It did seem like Mickey was always very "polite". He never said anything bad about anyone.
he had eight wives that might differ
The late and talented Mickey Rooney, there isn't one of his movie that I don't like.
Everyone's short and wide lol
Square movie shown through a Cinemascope projector, perhaps?
But Sunday is not the seventh day,but the first!
God don't mind what day you worship on, just that you do so at all.
@@bushranger51 Yes, we should worship Abba Elohim everyday, but we are to cease from all our labors and work, and rest on the seventh day, as is specified in the fourth commandment, Exodus 20:8-11, "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it (King James Version)."
It got switched by double talking "holy" men forgetting that Passover is also a Sabbath .
Seems like Micky Rooney was a child actor till he was 50..
Please post in the original aspect ratio.
En español por favor, gracias
If you could find a Robert Taylor film called Westward the women and post it I think it is something you might enjoy.
Anyone ever notice Mickey Rooney always has a red nose?
The church was built for men not men for the church...
“Thirty miles that away”
Off he goes across a desert without a lick of water and carrying a burdensome awkward shaped suitcase.
Lovely Ruta Lee 6:38
Did Mickey ever say no to a script?
To bad that Mickey rooney did not get the girl
Em español por favor gracias
