Not only post and telegraph department , Defence forces , Police department even canal department also used to work on these morse system invented by Samuel morse.Later on teleprinters replaced them . I joined P and T department in1978 and during this period the transition from morse to teleprinters was under progress. In later stage SFT systems replaced them. Now Internet has put all these systems to the museums.

Similar tale is narrated by Diwan Jarmani Das in his memoirs related to Nabha and Patiala Royal Families.

Interesting to know about the prophet Failqus. This is the Arabized name of Philip of Macedon, actually.

There was a similar and very interest tale shared by the late Mukhtar Masood, if I remember correctly. About a century ago, a peer sahab had started offering a sight of God to his mureeds. The ones who wanted to have this miracle performed for them, had to go to the peer sahab's place and do a fast for three days. After three days, a special mehfil would be organized, complete with zikr and incense and all the related paraphernalia. The peer sahab would call the mureed close, take his head under his arm and have him peek inside the shawl that he wore. The mureed would see a glimpse of the almighty and faint. Later on, it was discovered that the peer used to be holding a flash light under his arm, something that was a relatively new invention and yet not available in India. After a three day fast and all the hullabaloo, the mureed would already be weak and in a receptive state. One powerful flash of light would be enough to make him conk out.

Same he haal hain dono taraf Sir, critical thinking ko toh himaqat samjhta hain. Humara yeh bhot saal tak Subhash Chandra bose ko gumnam baba ( koi baba tha jiska pass Subhas Chandra bose ka kuch letters tha ) samjha tha raha. Unpad samaj main dharam ka pagalpan dono desho ko barbad kar raha hain
