@yonasmoh, I am 6 min in to the video and I relate so much to what you're saying (memorizing the literal translation of your words from the book). I've read the book once and am currently listening to the audiobook for the 2nd time (an interesting way of indulging in the book btw) . Needless to say, it's amazing!!!! Its empowering specially for people who can't see past smoke screens, it's an eye opener. Not gonna lie, when I read the first pages of the books I was shocked by his brutality but the man knew what he was talking about and it really is applicable in the modern world. If we could look in to it deep enough he is talking about the reality of our world for centuries now and he might have used the stories of the most powerful men from history but deception and act was (still is) part of each and everyone's life really. We all want power. And people saying otherwise are the real dangerous ones, as Robert said, because hiding their true intentions, appealing to modesty and sincerity, are actually the most strategic, manipulative attempts to get power.
@yonasmoh also, forgot to say that the story of Hailasilassie was the most exciting part of the book for me (every time he mentioned Ethiopia actually I'd get excited😅). Anyway, it was said by so many, the emperor really was unpredictable! In a society like ours, where everyone knows everyone else's business, nobody really knew him or predicted his reaction. He sat on his throne with so much power. An undeniable story that happened less than a century ago.
Sometimes, encountering a person like this makes me genuinely proud. I recently came across a book on the subject during a show, and it was truly remarkable. We deeply appreciate the meaningful work you're doing. Thank you.
