Is Michigan good for gold? I been interested and done a little research. Which mostly said that the gold would be in the northern lower peninsula to the whole of the upper peninsula. Is this true?

Picklepuss mat is the best !! I've been using it for three years, and I'm constantly amazed of the amount sub 200 mesh gold it recovers. Shawn is right, virtually all the gold is captured on the first third of the mat. I can attest to that ! Thanks Shawn for making this !!! 🤠⛏⚒👍👍👍

Right on Matt, sluice setup can definitely be tricky. I like to have mine at one inch of drop per foot of sluice box. But you do have to control the amount of water flow to have it going good.
It's all about the getting the fine adjustments. Taking the extra time to get it setup just right is well worth it 👍
Nice! That was my first look at the Picklepuss Mat and Sluice! Way Nice! I like the explanation of how it works and captures all that black sand with the gold! Those cons looked terrific! Didn't see much on the clean up, but what I saw looked easy enough, and the Mat Processes that material extremely well! Wonderful and instructive video, thanks Matt!

Hey there Matt, enjoyed the video. Setting up a sluice in low water can be a real pain. The tail of the sluice should be as close to being out of the water as possible as not to create a back flow which changes the dynamics of the flow. In that case, I've started using sand bags to build a dam which allows more water flow rather than using rocks for a dam. Its a features game changer in low water.. I have a similar mat in my 10 "sluice I got from ebay or amazon for $30. It catches the smallest of fines.
Your type of material u run is a big variable to setting up a sluice no matter what type of matting u run.

No I spend most of my time panning or detecting. Sluicing just hurts my back too much
