I know they have been adding a lot of good new champs, but I have one suggestion for Raid to help retain early game players. They need to buff all of the Epic free daily login champs. This would allow the new players to feel like they are getting great champs to help with catchup progression and keep them from getting discouraged too early before pulling some of the meta champs.
Keep in mind that Ash has been playing a long time and has many champs full ascended. If you are newer and have a lot of 0-3 ascended champs.. If you pull a 6 star soul, ignore everything Ash just said. That 6 star blessing will do a lot more than you 1-3 star blessing in most cases.
I just asked this question on his latest video. I have only one champ that I have a 6 star perfect soul for. But it's hexweaver and she's not great so I've been hesitant to rank her up.
@@Jadeskorpion well just because you have a 6 star doesn’t mean you should lvl them. If they have utility you need then you can consider it. If it’s a damage dealer then 6 star cruelty will probably benefit you.
My first 6 star soul I pulled was Warden, got him a few days later pulling shards and was overly happy till I saw Warden starring in an Ash do not lvl trash video. I lvled him and booked him out and Warden is great on my 3 months old account.
As a FTP, 3 years ago Dark Athel was someone I used a lot! Was my campaign farmer for a long time and helped control Faction Wars mobs too. She vaulted now, but just saying she aint that bad if your account is lean.
That is the same for most of these. Of all the legos he listed( not sure I will get any of them, except for the login ones) where was Truath? Crap or not?
@ depends how you look at it, I never invested in trash champions, I learned where to farm food for best silver and how to build my champions. But I kinda see your point of view, I chose certain mastery because Ash picked them but I think if I did the trial and error I would have a better understanding of how they work.
Dark Athel was a good champion when the game started, especially if you were free to play. Since the options for decreased speed and, she has AEO and multi attack with stun gear was useful
Cleo was the second lego i ever got (got her from a blue crystal), i do use her since i booked her to full , i use it in arena (as back up attack if my main ones get banned), dungeons, etc. I also like TNG and Voyager!
I'd argue Shaman is a huge trap, she is probably the worst reviver in the game after Reinbeast because she literally revives someone to die immediately again, she does not protect them (20% HP shield based off the revived champions hp), she does not give them turn meter it's a nothing ability. I've never seen a revived person survive long enough to take a turn. There's very little need for a reviver early on anyway, especially such a terrible one. All the rare revivers are better than her. The only time you need a revive early game is to 3 star a faction wars stage, definitely a must avoid for me in terms of building an epic.
I got good use out of her alongside another trap champ: Warpriest. Shitty reviver + shitty healer/buffer worked as a combo for me for a long time. I have both of them 60'd on my main account. Sure that was dumb, but I did it and both helped me clear a lot of content until I got Scyl.
Tainix isn't good anywhere except faction wars, but my goodness did she carry me through faction wars 😂 I had to 6-star her to make her more effective. She's like a I-have-to max rather than a I-want-to max.
I still use Scyl regularly because I haven't drawn anything better. I have Vrask but he's not a reviver. Otherwise, nobody I have has that level of constant healing.
I never maxed Kael or War Maiden, simply because I started when Ronda was free and pulled Apothecary very early on and pulled a few quality epics (Dhukk & Mausoleum Mage) as well as my queen Zavia, so never got around to it. Now I specialise champions for certain areas with a few all rounders. Still feel like I should 6* a few more rares for secret rooms
Same here. I never needed most of them and got Ronda as well. I also got crazy lucky and pulled Duchess and Apothecary really early on so I didn't really use Scyl.
@@orlandosalas6472 funny is i pulled like 3 kael(s) and max 1 at 60 while the rest are at 50, All of them fully booked & they decimated my FW and some sintranos. if i got Dark / supreme Kael later i might make a team of The Kael(s) for max fun. :D
nah! save your resources! there is no reason to invest in any rares currently, yes not even secret rooms (most champs from DT suck anyway, so why waste resources to get garbage sooner?) The Epic Empowerment made rares pretty much obsolete!
Love how whales think free to play or low spenders have soooo many options like they do when every dungeon has a different play style ... Plus fraction wars ...plus secret rooms...plus the cursed city that makes you use so many different champions cause different stages have only specific factions or so many perfect souls required...then clan boss.... Yeeeeah we don't all have option to to only invest in the best champions just saying some of us gotta upgrade trash to get to the stage especially in faction lol
That may be your experience. But there’s tons of f2p players that have mastered patience and resource management and have more champs then they have resources to build. How long have you been playing?
Hey ash totally unrelated to the video, but had a question. Got Teox today, and added him to the Ninja Mikage squad for some awesome damage, but the team has no debuffer. If i had Draco, would it be better to use him over ninja? Could you test it sometime you think? I have sulf but no other good lizards, so the bonuses may be worth, and dracomorph a1 reads like itd synergize great with Teox, but im not sure
Love how the cursed city's like... For this battle, take your crappiest, lamest champions you have and defeat these other champions filled with all sorts of buffs.
Used to be a Star Wars fan but all the new movies has put me firmly in the Trekky camp too, Ash! Love your positivity as always, keep up the good work! The buff Rhazin needs is to be fusable as much as you want.
Oddly, I don't think I've heard any comments about Warpriest. I don't spend money on the game, at all. So, maybe I have to look at things a bit differently. However, in the beginning she has always been one of the best champions I've had. No matter how I screw up her masteries, from two star up to six, she keeps my account alive and going strong. When I have Sun Wukong, Kael, Elhain or other six star champions, Warpriest keeps them alive during the progress upward. I have trouble getting good artifacts for my champions in the beginning, but with crappy artifact sets on Sun and Warpriest, at level 50 and 40 respectively, I can three star all the way through Normal into the Hard campaigns within a couple days. She keeps Sun and her own HP up quickly and constantly with some additional ATK power every 3rd turn. She is part of the Arena groups I battle in at least half of the players, so I'm not the only one who see value in Warpriest. She's gone head to toe with War Maiden in the arena and in campaigns at the same rank usually winning the encounter. I should get Loki later today, and I'm at level 34 soon to hit level 35 after 10 days into the game. I'm working on Valdemar Strait in the Hard campaign at the moment to complete a set of level 4 artifacts for Monkey King right now, with some dives into the Dragon Lair to get a few epic Lifesteal artifacts if I can. This is my 4th dive into the game, and had crashes in the program, but didn't record my log ins or the emails I had for the accounts. So, back again only with email and identification recorded on paper this time, just in case. In order to keep playing I have to really coordinate Missions, Quests, Challenges, Dungeons, and Faction Crypts to keep my energy, silver and gems up and going. I'm 70 and the game keeps my brain working a few hours a day. Anyway, without Warpriest in the beginning, I think other work-arounds to replace her would be really tough to do.

Can you do a list of champions that ramp up their damage or do additional damage? Like Ninja, or Jintoro (skill 3), Rathalos (passive), Ronda (In your corner- chance to join an attack), etc? Would be nice to see how they do for damage as well getting your thoughts on it.
I pulled a 6 star soul for Lady Eresh and invested in her. Definitely an excellent damage dealer but I probably would have left her in the vault without that blessing.
Thanks for having me Ash. I said this before, they need to compress the first few months of login champs to weeks. Right after you get Jizoh, the next week you should get Yaga/High Khatun ( maybe they should swap the order?). Not sure which you should focus on that early in the game. Clan Boss or Arena. Im thinking CB , because those rewards help you right away. So your first month in the game you have 4 decent progress champions. Any later and yaga is useless. That gets you to your first month. Compress again and you get Scyl by the end of the second month. Thats a better start for players. No more playing for almost a year to get champions that you likely have already outgrown. They need to redo campaign and add the other factions. Redo the opening story or add a few new boards/ chapters.
I agree with the observations 100% but a soul stone above 2 for a free to play Raider is a game changer so that caveat needed mentioning, as putting a 6 star soul on even the worst champ alters the perception.
The only login champ I have properly built out in over 2 years in the game is Visix High khatun has been useful as a 50 and that’s it. I think it really depends on who you pull along the way. I probably should have built scyl but she never made it near the top of the priority list
I am at 150 days into the game. I can't imagine building, let alone booking Scyl of the Drakes in a month. She would add absolutely nothing to my account, and it's not like I have been super lucky or anything. There are just better things to do with books and with them she seems extremely weak. I think High Khatun is a huge trap and there are so many better things you could be doing. At 30 days into the game, you should have at least 6-7 epics to pick from, but you would still be better off building your Sun Wukong or Uugo if you got those from starting.
Honestly, you can get pretty far just using the free champions. Especially the limited login free champions i.e. UDK, Sun Wu Kong, Loki etc. Those are normally the best. The champs that are 100% traps though are any Doom Tower champ past maybe the third one you get. Especially the legendaries, save I think Varl. The others are useless. For High Khatun, specifically, though you can use her at level 50, she actually gets a massive speed increase when ascended to 6*. It's actually worth it because there will be loads of matches where you need that extra oomph. I didn't do this since I got a Deac (whom I still use every day in clan boss) but yeah, worth it. She can also do some decent damage iirc. I actually agree with Guurda. She's quite solid in the area I use her in (Faction Wars!) and helped me eventually finish it, even on 50. Oh the MVPs in that area were Uugo and Bellower though (since I still have 0 Ogryn Legendaries save Guurda!). But if you, dear new player, see a Yaga. Just burn it. Sacrifice it to the altar of another 5*. It's useless. Just plain useless.
Valerie might be worth taking to 60 and even booking, if you are going for the wixwell infinite shield team. Of course there are alternative buff extenders, but this is low budget option number 1, the other is Hellborn sprite (shards only). Valerie has a buff extender on her A2, 3 turn CD when booked, hellborn sprite has the same when booked on her A3, but she isn't campaign farmable. Other than that, I agree, Warmaiden is the only one. Heiress for Clan boss later on, I agree with that too. Lordly Legionary, I have 1 +2 and another cop aty level 1 for faction guardians. I have a Ghursh the mangler I pulled, I got him to 60 and he hits like a wet noodle, what gives? I must have built him wrong. I stoill haven't gotten my free copy yet, thats up next, 11 days from now. The same thing you say about Gronjarr you can also say about Yaga. there is one stage in curse city Yaga actually does well in, but only because you are restricted.
Haven't even started getting his fragments yet and I know everyone says he is trash or niche, but my most wanted DT champ would be Gronjarr. RIP my Gwynneth... as a collector of champs I am kicking myself so much for feeding her ages ago, not realizing I can never get another one of her. Even if she isn't great, this will forever bother me. imo, after we cycle through the Dt champs and get them all, we should have the option of going through them again. This way I can at least correct this mistake... in a few years.
What's sad is that I"m less then 30 shards away from Ginro in DT. And I'm trying to get Ramantu. But I don't think I'll ever see Ram because of how horrible tag arena is. I can't even think of how anyone F2P would be able to get him with the amount of Krakens I see in just Tag Silver 2 alone.
I can't even fathom how slow of a player you would need to be to build High Khatun as your first epic to 6*. That sounds insane to me. To be honest, my Warmaiden is still 5* and I cannot in the foreseeable future see a moment where I upgrade her. I would NEVER build champions to level 50 early in the game, that is not what you should be doing. Shieldguard is a trap and a complete waste of your time. Don't build Jizoh unless you have a good reason. You don't need taunt for Magma Dragon and you don't need taunt early in Hydra. In fact I still don't use one and while it's not ideal, bringing an extra dps just compensates. Do not under any circumstance build Shaman. There is no reason to invest in Dark Elhain unless you lack dps in your undead. If you are slow after 4 months, she won't help you progress as she brings nothing special to the table. If your progress is good, you have advanced beyond what she offers. Scyl is pretty awful without books. She eats 11 books. If you are progressing normally she should be obsolete by the time you get her. You can start with Rector Drath, who is in my opinion just better at healing, and you should have Arbiter who is better at supporting, and takes less books, and is actually a good champion. If you're not done with Barbarians I guess she can help in the faction crypts. Tainix is bad. Ghrush is ok but should probably be obsolete when you get him after 8 months. Remember you CAN start with Uugo these days. Visix yeah I look forward to getting her in 4 months. After that, 9 months into the game, you should have like 25 legendaries and a swarm of epics to choose from, so at that point you have to make decisions solely on what your account still needs.
I had 6* perfect soul on Yaga and decided to 60 him. And he is my valuable stun target for my 2-key UNM clan boss team. His 20% DEF decrease from 6* cruetly gave a lot of damage boost for other CB members. Also he is quite useful in Sintranos as well. He may be trash but I don't regret I 6*'ed Yaga.
Shaman was my main reviver in the early game, got her to level 50, after getting stronger revivers, i use her less, good for Faction Wars until getting Tagooar and Old Hermit Org.
I invested happily in Lordly Legionary against all advises. Was big carry in fireknight for at least a year for me. For me as good an Invest as warmaiden. With my bad luck in pulling from shards, both we're good Investments. But Warmaiden you have much more options to get a replacement only i still Had None after a year. Lordly back the days was only Alure. So was my only triplehitter for a long long time and carried my fireknight Teams for very long. Of course he is vaulted now Like many progression champs or my Starter Champ which was replaced First, fresh 60 after my First Legendary pull was 6 stared second.
You forgot Lady Mikage, Crusader, Sniper, and Warpriest btw. Sniper is the uncommon you get in the tutorial, Crusader and Warpriest are the two you get when you finish the first stage of campaign and Lady Mikage is a fusion.

@jasonharris2006 The sniper thing is weird all of the accounts that I've started were forced to pull a mystery shard and she popped out each time. I just thought it was a guaranteed thing.
I'm glad you're finally on the Jizoh bandwagon lol I've been singing his praises since I came back to the game Feb '23! I quit before Hydra and when I came back I had very few viable Hydra champs and Jizoh was my best provoker by a mile and almost nobody out there was recommending him.
I had dark aethal at 50 last year and a random 6 star off a trash shard, so I figured why not. I bumped her up to 60, 6 started her in an ok rank 16 set. She is ...ok, but not super. It's a very niche fighter most of the time.
I'm not going to strongly argue in favor of any of these champions. I still use Dark Athel for farming the campaign, but I don't especially need her for that. She's okay if you put her in relentless gear, but she's not essential.
I 6 star spirithost really early and she help me a lot until I was able to pull better cleansers help me push fw and most dungeons to lvl 15 I don’t use her I’m 9 months in but never regretted 6 star her
In regards to investing, yeah maybe not waste resources on champs you wont use much, unless u just don't care and level up everything anyway toby get the max potential out of those champs. Those trash champs will atleast get u some champ training points, some will help u with the champ chase tournaments to fuse a broadmaw or relickeeper. Sometimes they can get u by in a secret room too. Regen and frostbite on a trash champ can work as well as a stun set when u just need to survive until the end.
I am pretty lucky with shards. Today I pulled Venus. Yesterday I pulled Androc. I have Turvold, Sulfurion,Sulfuric, Bad-El, Skortosos. I save a copy of every unique champ I pull. I have most of them booked ascended awakened between lv 40 and 50. Eventually I will level them all.
I started my second account on a two x ancient weekend and I grinded up all the shards I could, but I didn't pull an epic until six weeks later during the next two x and it was yaga.
Dude, I respect your take on this, however I have gotten so much mileage off Shaman! If I could I would take her to 60, but Plarium has made it painful clear that rank 6 is for spenders only! Building up enough fodder to 6* a champ is almost, almost impossible. It certainly is improbable. 5* chickens are more rare than Lego tomes!
very low spender myself, got a 6 star godseeker aniri soul and finally got her on the increased drop chance shards event recently (saved up my shards for over a year, but it was 100% worth it!)
I never got Shaman. I got Rector Drath. And my High Katun is at lvl 50. When I started I picked Athel as my hero and Talia as my free Epic, then picked up Rector Drath, then Artak came out, followed by Wukong. So Katun didn't get much attention from me.
Wrong about Scion, he has only heal reduction for Amius rotation. Your right he does not damage, but that's not why he is used. Also wrong on relic keeper, you can get a +4 easy and he hits hard. For force attack caused city stages, sometimes he is it.
You didn't mention Executioner when talking about the campaign champs. In the past you've always said you liked him. Also the game gives you two more trash champs right out of the gate that you didn't mention: Sniper and Warpriest. Against all advice, I 60'd both Warpriest and Shaman. The pair of them together actually did a lot of work for me, because I had no luck getting any decent healers or revivers early on. Still not a good reason to 60 either of them, but what's done is done.
In rhe description you said the champions you were meantioning were free, yet you didn't mention where you get them, in-game. We all know the freebees from the getgo.
I would max Thea the Tomb Angel for my Hydra nuker, but I got a 4* awekening on Cleopatrix, so I guess I will use her instead. I the meantime, I am using my Epic Hexer (the skin walker guy with poison).
I don't know if Dark Athel is that bad-I mean : she has an AOE both on A2 and A3 - that makes her suitable for a Stun set and make the girl useful for waves and other situations. Who said Stun is the universal cheat on Raid? Ash said. 😁
How about the year 2024 top 5 rares team build @ASH-RAID? Five Coldhearts lol? Maybe have the buff extender rare in there for the "use a rare" quests.. Maybe also a reviver or maybe not.. And Pain Keeper. Or two? Someone to heal and drop def and control and.. Oof. Is Muckstalker any good in dt.. Not top five rares.. TOP RARE TEAM(s) for the entire account?

Sounds about right. A couple of comments: Thea by herself I would not build, but paired with Mithrala she is a force even unbooked. Hex for 5 turns on A1 keeps select opponents (think opponent's reviver in arena or waves) petrified with Mithrala's passive, and Mithrala's AoE hex makes Thea's A2 deadly. Relickeep needs help esp. in speed levels, but it is so easy to get him at +4 now with Epic empowerment, can fully book him with his copies and with his A2 fully booked he is constantly under increased attack buff. Have mine +4 in relentless with helmsmasher and one star nourish blessing and he is not half way bad. As is can solo magma dragon (normal) because of his A3, and is very useful for some Sintranos stages. Way better champions for magma dragon, but he is really useful in Sintranos.
I love Jizoh. He's not the best, obviously, and I almost dont use him at all anymore except for faction war and Hydra. But this guy carried me really hard in the beginning. He's so tanky, i can't count how many time he was the last man standing and still won all by himself in arena or campaign

What's the opinion on the epics needed to fuse Rhazin? If you hold off fusing Rhazin you can farm AND fully empower them with relative ease.

If you start with Elaine, you can fill the rare slots in the training area with the heiress.

Hey ash totally unrelated to the video, but had a question. Got Teox today, and added him to the Ninja Mikage squad for some awesome damage, but the team has no debuffer. If i had Draco, would it be better to use him over ninja? Could you test it sometime you think? I have sulf but no other good lizards, so the bonuses may be worth, and dracomorph a1 reads like itd synergize great with Teox, but im not sure

Starter is a lot easier to max, so probably the starter. However, 6* wukong next.

Oddly, I don't think I've heard any comments about Warpriest. I don't spend money on the game, at all. So, maybe I have to look at things a bit differently. However, in the beginning she has always been one of the best champions I've had. No matter how I screw up her masteries, from two star up to six, she keeps my account alive and going strong. When I have Sun Wukong, Kael, Elhain or other six star champions, Warpriest keeps them alive during the progress upward. I have trouble getting good artifacts for my champions in the beginning, but with crappy artifact sets on Sun and Warpriest, at level 50 and 40 respectively, I can three star all the way through Normal into the Hard campaigns within a couple days. She keeps Sun and her own HP up quickly and constantly with some additional ATK power every 3rd turn. She is part of the Arena groups I battle in at least half of the players, so I'm not the only one who see value in Warpriest. She's gone head to toe with War Maiden in the arena and in campaigns at the same rank usually winning the encounter. I should get Loki later today, and I'm at level 34 soon to hit level 35 after 10 days into the game. I'm working on Valdemar Strait in the Hard campaign at the moment to complete a set of level 4 artifacts for Monkey King right now, with some dives into the Dragon Lair to get a few epic Lifesteal artifacts if I can. This is my 4th dive into the game, and had crashes in the program, but didn't record my log ins or the emails I had for the accounts. So, back again only with email and identification recorded on paper this time, just in case. In order to keep playing I have to really coordinate Missions, Quests, Challenges, Dungeons, and Faction Crypts to keep my energy, silver and gems up and going. I'm 70 and the game keeps my brain working a few hours a day. Anyway, without Warpriest in the beginning, I think other work-arounds to replace her would be really tough to do.
I like warpriest! I have leveled her up quite a bit!

Can you do a list of champions that ramp up their damage or do additional damage? Like Ninja, or Jintoro (skill 3), Rathalos (passive), Ronda (In your corner- chance to join an attack), etc? Would be nice to see how they do for damage as well getting your thoughts on it.
I pulled a 6 star soul for Lady Eresh and invested in her. Definitely an excellent damage dealer but I probably would have left her in the vault without that blessing.

I said this before, they need to compress the first few months of login champs to weeks. Right after you get Jizoh, the next week you should get Yaga/High Khatun ( maybe they should swap the order?). Not sure which you should focus on that early in the game. Clan Boss or Arena. Im thinking CB , because those rewards help you right away. So your first month in the game you have 4 decent progress champions. Any later and yaga is useless.
That gets you to your first month. Compress again and you get Scyl by the end of the second month. Thats a better start for players. No more playing for almost a year to get champions that you likely have already outgrown.
They need to redo campaign and add the other factions. Redo the opening story or add a few new boards/ chapters.

I actually needed Scion 6 star for Amius for the heal reduction on the A2. I had no other options.
I agree with the observations 100% but a soul stone above 2 for a free to play Raider is a game changer so that caveat needed mentioning, as putting a 6 star soul on even the worst champ alters the perception.
The only login champ I have properly built out in over 2 years in the game is Visix
High khatun has been useful as a 50 and that’s it. I think it really depends on who you pull along the way. I probably should have built scyl but she never made it near the top of the priority list
I am at 150 days into the game. I can't imagine building, let alone booking Scyl of the Drakes in a month. She would add absolutely nothing to my account, and it's not like I have been super lucky or anything. There are just better things to do with books and with them she seems extremely weak.
I think High Khatun is a huge trap and there are so many better things you could be doing. At 30 days into the game, you should have at least 6-7 epics to pick from, but you would still be better off building your Sun Wukong or Uugo if you got those from starting.

Honestly, you can get pretty far just using the free champions. Especially the limited login free champions i.e. UDK, Sun Wu Kong, Loki etc. Those are normally the best.
The champs that are 100% traps though are any Doom Tower champ past maybe the third one you get. Especially the legendaries, save I think Varl. The others are useless.
For High Khatun, specifically, though you can use her at level 50, she actually gets a massive speed increase when ascended to 6*. It's actually worth it because there will be loads of matches where you need that extra oomph. I didn't do this since I got a Deac (whom I still use every day in clan boss) but yeah, worth it. She can also do some decent damage iirc.
I actually agree with Guurda. She's quite solid in the area I use her in (Faction Wars!) and helped me eventually finish it, even on 50. Oh the MVPs in that area were Uugo and Bellower though (since I still have 0 Ogryn Legendaries save Guurda!).
But if you, dear new player, see a Yaga. Just burn it. Sacrifice it to the altar of another 5*. It's useless. Just plain useless.
Valerie might be worth taking to 60 and even booking, if you are going for the wixwell infinite shield team. Of course there are alternative buff extenders, but this is low budget option number 1, the other is Hellborn sprite (shards only). Valerie has a buff extender on her A2, 3 turn CD when booked, hellborn sprite has the same when booked on her A3, but she isn't campaign farmable. Other than that, I agree, Warmaiden is the only one. Heiress for Clan boss later on, I agree with that too.
Lordly Legionary, I have 1 +2 and another cop aty level 1 for faction guardians. I have a Ghursh the mangler I pulled, I got him to 60 and he hits like a wet noodle, what gives? I must have built him wrong. I stoill haven't gotten my free copy yet, thats up next, 11 days from now. The same thing you say about Gronjarr you can also say about Yaga. there is one stage in curse city Yaga actually does well in, but only because you are restricted.
The thing with grush is he does mid tier damage but his healing is based off crit procs so his healing when crit capped is actually very effective
Haven't even started getting his fragments yet and I know everyone says he is trash or niche, but my most wanted DT champ would be Gronjarr.
RIP my Gwynneth... as a collector of champs I am kicking myself so much for feeding her ages ago, not realizing I can never get another one of her. Even if she isn't great, this will forever bother me. imo, after we cycle through the Dt champs and get them all, we should have the option of going through them again. This way I can at least correct this mistake... in a few years.
What's sad is that I"m less then 30 shards away from Ginro in DT. And I'm trying to get Ramantu. But I don't think I'll ever see Ram because of how horrible tag arena is. I can't even think of how anyone F2P would be able to get him with the amount of Krakens I see in just Tag Silver 2 alone.
I can't even fathom how slow of a player you would need to be to build High Khatun as your first epic to 6*. That sounds insane to me. To be honest, my Warmaiden is still 5* and I cannot in the foreseeable future see a moment where I upgrade her.
I would NEVER build champions to level 50 early in the game, that is not what you should be doing.
Shieldguard is a trap and a complete waste of your time.
Don't build Jizoh unless you have a good reason. You don't need taunt for Magma Dragon and you don't need taunt early in Hydra. In fact I still don't use one and while it's not ideal, bringing an extra dps just compensates.
Do not under any circumstance build Shaman.
There is no reason to invest in Dark Elhain unless you lack dps in your undead. If you are slow after 4 months, she won't help you progress as she brings nothing special to the table. If your progress is good, you have advanced beyond what she offers.
Scyl is pretty awful without books. She eats 11 books. If you are progressing normally she should be obsolete by the time you get her. You can start with Rector Drath, who is in my opinion just better at healing, and you should have Arbiter who is better at supporting, and takes less books, and is actually a good champion. If you're not done with Barbarians I guess she can help in the faction crypts.
Tainix is bad.
Ghrush is ok but should probably be obsolete when you get him after 8 months. Remember you CAN start with Uugo these days.
Visix yeah I look forward to getting her in 4 months.
After that, 9 months into the game, you should have like 25 legendaries and a swarm of epics to choose from, so at that point you have to make decisions solely on what your account still needs.

I had 6* perfect soul on Yaga and decided to 60 him. And he is my valuable stun target for my 2-key UNM clan boss team. His 20% DEF decrease from 6* cruetly gave a lot of damage boost for other CB members. Also he is quite useful in Sintranos as well. He may be trash but I don't regret I 6*'ed Yaga.

Scion is the only option for the mass of players against Amius. Heal reduction on the A2.
Shaman was my main reviver in the early game, got her to level 50, after getting stronger revivers, i use her less, good for Faction Wars until getting Tagooar and Old Hermit Org.
Would Ba Satha be a good Sun Wukong counter with his passive?
I invested happily in Lordly Legionary against all advises. Was big carry in fireknight for at least a year for me. For me as good an Invest as warmaiden. With my bad luck in pulling from shards, both we're good Investments. But Warmaiden you have much more options to get a replacement only i still Had None after a year. Lordly back the days was only Alure. So was my only triplehitter for a long long time and carried my fireknight Teams for very long. Of course he is vaulted now Like many progression champs or my Starter Champ which was replaced First, fresh 60 after my First Legendary pull was 6 stared second.

This reminds me of the time that you (I think it was you) pulled like 50 or 100 ancients trying for Warmaiden.
You forgot Lady Mikage, Crusader, Sniper, and Warpriest btw. Sniper is the uncommon you get in the tutorial, Crusader and Warpriest are the two you get when you finish the first stage of campaign and Lady Mikage is a fusion.
you may have gotten sniper in a tutorial in the past..but not anymore...and crusader is junk and only good for fusion..
Crusader isn't used for a fusion and you do still get sniper from the mystery shard in the tutorial.
@@Caeden-ls9qq Ok I checked and you are right about crusader..but i never got a shard at the end of the tutorial and I didnt get sniper till I was in playing for over 3 weeks..lol..but coming in at different times means different things pop up..
@jasonharris2006 The sniper thing is weird all of the accounts that I've started were forced to pull a mystery shard and she popped out each time. I just thought it was a guaranteed thing.

I'm glad you're finally on the Jizoh bandwagon lol I've been singing his praises since I came back to the game Feb '23! I quit before Hydra and when I came back I had very few viable Hydra champs and Jizoh was my best provoker by a mile and almost nobody out there was recommending him.
Armager is a must have for early development.

I had dark aethal at 50 last year and a random 6 star off a trash shard, so I figured why not. I bumped her up to 60, 6 started her in an ok rank 16 set. She is ...ok, but not super. It's a very niche fighter most of the time.

I'm not going to strongly argue in favor of any of these champions. I still use Dark Athel for farming the campaign, but I don't especially need her for that. She's okay if you put her in relentless gear, but she's not essential.

I 6 star spirithost really early and she help me a lot until I was able to pull better cleansers help me push fw and most dungeons to lvl 15 I don’t use her I’m 9 months in but never regretted 6 star her

Dark Athel has been great to my account. Love the decrease speed and decrease defense.
In regards to investing, yeah maybe not waste resources on champs you wont use much, unless u just don't care and level up everything anyway toby get the max potential out of those champs. Those trash champs will atleast get u some champ training points, some will help u with the champ chase tournaments to fuse a broadmaw or relickeeper. Sometimes they can get u by in a secret room too. Regen and frostbite on a trash champ can work as well as a stun set when u just need to survive until the end.

I am pretty lucky with shards. Today I pulled Venus. Yesterday I pulled Androc. I have Turvold, Sulfurion,Sulfuric, Bad-El, Skortosos. I save a copy of every unique champ I pull. I have most of them booked ascended awakened between lv 40 and 50. Eventually I will level them all.

I started my second account on a two x ancient weekend and I grinded up all the shards I could, but I didn't pull an epic until six weeks later during the next two x and it was yaga.

Dude, I respect your take on this, however I have gotten so much mileage off Shaman! If I could I would take her to 60, but Plarium has made it painful clear that rank 6 is for spenders only! Building up enough fodder to 6* a champ is almost, almost impossible. It certainly is improbable. 5* chickens are more rare than Lego tomes!
F2p you can 6 star a champion every week,via the sparring pit.
very low spender myself, got a 6 star godseeker aniri soul and finally got her on the increased drop chance shards event recently (saved up my shards for over a year, but it was 100% worth it!)

I never got Shaman. I got Rector Drath. And my High Katun is at lvl 50. When I started I picked Athel as my hero and Talia as my free Epic, then picked up Rector Drath, then Artak came out, followed by Wukong. So Katun didn't get much attention from me.

Wrong about Scion, he has only heal reduction for Amius rotation. Your right he does not damage, but that's not why he is used.
Also wrong on relic keeper, you can get a +4 easy and he hits hard. For force attack caused city stages, sometimes he is it.

You didn't mention Executioner when talking about the campaign champs. In the past you've always said you liked him.
Also the game gives you two more trash champs right out of the gate that you didn't mention: Sniper and Warpriest. Against all advice, I 60'd both Warpriest and Shaman. The pair of them together actually did a lot of work for me, because I had no luck getting any decent healers or revivers early on. Still not a good reason to 60 either of them, but what's done is done.
In rhe description you said the champions you were meantioning were free, yet you didn't mention where you get them, in-game. We all know the freebees from the getgo.
I would max Thea the Tomb Angel for my Hydra nuker, but I got a 4* awekening on Cleopatrix, so I guess I will use her instead.
I the meantime, I am using my Epic Hexer (the skin walker guy with poison).
I don't know if Dark Athel is that bad-I mean : she has an AOE both on A2 and A3 - that makes her suitable for a Stun set and make the girl useful for waves and other situations. Who said Stun is the universal cheat on Raid? Ash said. 😁

Sounds about right. A couple of comments: Thea by herself I would not build, but paired with Mithrala she is a force even unbooked. Hex for 5 turns on A1 keeps select opponents (think opponent's reviver in arena or waves) petrified with Mithrala's passive, and Mithrala's AoE hex makes Thea's A2 deadly. Relickeep needs help esp. in speed levels, but it is so easy to get him at +4 now with Epic empowerment, can fully book him with his copies and with his A2 fully booked he is constantly under increased attack buff. Have mine +4 in relentless with helmsmasher and one star nourish blessing and he is not half way bad. As is can solo magma dragon (normal) because of his A3, and is very useful for some Sintranos stages. Way better champions for magma dragon, but he is really useful in Sintranos.

I love Jizoh. He's not the best, obviously, and I almost dont use him at all anymore except for faction war and Hydra. But this guy carried me really hard in the beginning. He's so tanky, i can't count how many time he was the last man standing and still won all by himself in arena or campaign
