In my IP14 pro if you leave apps running in the background it drains the battery so quickly, especially Whatsapp, so I need to close them every time. And the background refresh setting doesn’t do anything to help this issue.

Whenever someone who uses an Android phone borrows my iPhone, the first thing they do is close all the apps I left open. This says a lot about the differences between Android and iOS.

Informative video Brandon! Yes. I still and always have closed apps. At the same time it's never caused me any problems throughout my iphone se 2020. I did try leaving my apps open and switching through them when need be for one day. Wow was that a mistake, since my battery life drained much quicker than usual.

Honestly if ur decent at typing. Ditch app folders. Just spotlight search every time.
Add the 8 app siri suggestions widget.
Add some other apps and widgets with smart stack enabled. U can suddenly live with almost one home screen page.
Add widgets to your Today View that u frequently access and would also like to access from lock screen. Perfect for calendar, weather, a widget to control your car.

Hi! Yes, I immediately close the page or app I'm not using because otherwise my internet will be even slower than it usually is. I live in the country and the internet coverage here is over the air and slow, so in order to be effective I have to turn off everything that is not necessary and constantly close the windows that are not in use and make the phone as effective as possible. My favorite tip is the control center ’3d touch’ feature. Obviously Apple killed 3D Touch but you can still long press apps for more options. I use it in the control center for more options on the home controls, timer, flashlight, etc. Almost all of them have way better options if long pressed rather than tap.

I always force close every app once I’m done and have great battery life and always have. My way seems to work for me so I’m gonna carry on force closing apps. Also I like my apps to stay in the exact spot I put them. It’s for muscle memory purposes so I know exactly where to go to get in that app. If I use the Siri suggestion thing it would move them all about in different places all time and that would mess with my head.

Leaving the tabs open on ANY browser does slow the OS down. But--even worse--it can let a hacker into your system by using any cookies he csn find in the pages you left open. Just close the windows when you are finished them. If you still need them, screenshot them, put them in your msiling list, copy the URL into Notes, ude Pocket--whatever works to find your way back or save them for reading later. But whatever you do, close the web pages before you close the browser.

Even if it doesn’t slow Safari down, it’s clutter and severely hinders productivity imo

Agree it doesnt slow down for me either and not a problem. For certain sites I just bookmark them, and other times I just start typing in the address bar and if it's a site I have visited before safari will notice it and suggest the site for me. Doesnt hinder my productivity at all :)

@@artfartzy well we're def not the same then lol. If I have more than 5 tabs opened it distracts me. And when I used to have 100+ tabs opened it would slow down when I went to open another tab/private window

What about letting battery go below 20% or going above 80%? I am so confused what i should do.

In a perfect world a battery would have the longest longevity if you just always kept it at 50 percent. That’s its chemical happy place. Realistically you will drastically improve the batteries life if you don’t let it charge above 80 percent and don’t let it discharge below 20 percent. Doing so will stress the battery in the long run. If know you have a busy day ahead of your or will just be out and about for most of the day charging the battery to 100 is completely fine.
At the end of the day battery replacement only cost $50-$80 with Apple

You know what I wish Apple would do is put a mode in when you’re watching a video on your phone or iPad and a notification comes in. It will not make a noise. It just show the notification and the notification will go away without having to put it in.
