Most of the stuff he says doesn't seem that boring. Maybe it's just me, but if I adored maxxor like Tom did, I'd be interested in hearing how his daily life in the overworld goes and how they manufacture their weapons and stuff. Like, how does maxxor act when he isn't shooting fire balls and causing earthquakes? How does he talk to bodal knowing he isn't a warrior? But I guess chaotic players are only interested in the pew pew side of things.

Maglax only had 40 energy at the beginning didn't he? The first attack she did wiped 25 energy out and then the second one did 15. Wouldn't Maglax have been wiped out? Why did she need the mugic? Unless it was the battelgear he had. Or an effect of Storm Tunnel
bringing her back would be a nice season premiere. contrasting a newbie (that we previously saw) getting into chaotic for the first time. if the show comesback, it would be a nice way to introduce new viewers and as a nostalgic way to welcome back old viewers bonus points if she used takinom and her first battle is with tom as maxxor in the glaciar plains
Wait why did they ignore boddal? He just gave a masters class on gear. Everything from maintenance to general tips for use and common mistakes made with them. That would be groundbreaking to know how players can inadvertently break their gear. On top of how the minor details can affect gear quality in scans.
And given how much he knows, scanning him and getting into his thoughts could be massively beneficial. Confidential information, battlegear tips, Kiru city passages. He’s a treasure trove of information that could help you find stuff in Perrim

I think the scans don’t reveal much unless you look for it. Remember how when they test new battle gear or mugic they don’t actually know how it works?

The best lesson of this episode is how good a friend can be. Kaz was worried about Tom and as his best friend he was there for him, knowing how it feels when you lose something important and helping his friend to get it back.
I'll admit, the beginning of the episode. I REALLY wanted to give Tom a headslap to the back of his head for being so childish. I mean he won an awesome match using a mix of Overworlders and Mepidians in a battle of strategy and skill. Though I understand the loss hurt, he really has growing to do. Speaking of growing, he needs to learn to pick up on hints something is wrong and that maybe, just maybe, getting a scan is the least of his worries. Man, I wonder how he'll handle Maxxor affected by Decomposition to tank his courage points so badly.

I always wondered why they didn't just go to the beta drones, where apparently players can just explore and experiment. I don't think there's a rule against having regular battles there, plus pretty sure there's no screen time for those.
Expanding on the bottom two replies it is likely a combination of the two. Tom's weakness is how much he favors maxor he chose to use maxor every chance he got. The second he lost maxor he caught a losing streak. Its likely that he was over excited upon gaining maxor causing his reason and common sense to test a new scan. To be superseded entirely by the fact he can now battle in his favorite manner again.
I understand Kaz wanted Tom to come back to the online game, but let's be honest Tom found a real life girl who liked to play chaotic and was by what I can see clearly into seeing more of him. Kaz friends don't cockblock friends no matter what the cause

There was an official merchandise that included clear plastic Mugic Counters & scales (to keep track of changing Discipline values). They were only in trans blue & red, so Danians & Mipedians got nothing. I can't seem to find any imagines online; hopefully it wasn't in my imagination lol. I *do* remember thinking at the time (I was like 10) 'why would anybody buy that?' Ofc. now I wish I got them...

I actually own quite a few of these cards and quite a few doubles im not sure if the same rules apply but all my cards I have doubles of have varying values when it comes to there stats maybe like in real life the cards in the show have varying values too maybe thats why he didn't really register it

I was wondered how the chracters know what each card does when cards in the show don't show abilities, only stats and sometimes not even that. I guess we just have to assume that there is a guide book they read or something

That would make sense to happen like it would be pretty annoying just this year so constantly fail and everybody watch you and that makes me wonder do like the grounds that they go to get constantly updated where they add new upgrades to them

I've been thinking Tom could have entered the code on his Maxxor card to get his scan back. But then I thought, maybe code scanners have a security measure in place to prevent players from immediately recovering scans using duplicate codes. And maybe Tom could have just bought some packs hoping to pull a new Maxxor.
Tom already entered his Maxxor card's code into his online deck. Thats how he had it in Chaotic. And every card has it's own code. It can't be entered twice. That's why he can't enter his Maxxor card's code again and why he'd have to scan him in Perim. I can't imagine the amount of money he'd spend trying to pull ANOTHER Maxxor
I forgot how much this series likes to jump from arcs to arcs per episode that it crontrodicts and forgets the previous episode(s). Like, Tom gained a character development from last episode when he learned about Mepedians and he became less of a racist and became more forgiving towards them and beat the xenophobic Overworlder player without Maxxor. Now he's regressed to "oh I can't beat anyone without Maxxor" like, what? That's like saying Yugi can't win without Dark Magician. Characters are literally telling him that "its not the creature, it's the player." He's a high schooler, right? He's supposed to be a young adult. Why not act like one? It's like everything beyond that point is just filler.
Yeah, this show can jump from story to story. Like when he got that Prexxor Chasm scan and never dealt with the problem till much later. They also shouldn't have been too surprised by time travel as they did it before.

I assume you're talking about Decomposition? Van Bloot is *not* terribly smart, just crafty. At this point he's already tried to take down Chaor (in ep. 11). Perhaps Chaor's increased his security? Or maybe LVB is waiting for the 'scandal' to die down; maybe taking Maxxor out is his way of rehabilitating his image in the UW or get back in Chaor's good graces (by helping to defeat a common enemy).
True, but if I recall properly, Von Blut didn't fully know what the mugic did. Just that it would destroy Maxxor, and yeah he would probably want to use it on Chaor too, Maxxor is more of an enemy of the Underworld so it makes sense to target him first
I like Tangath Toborn and Maxxor better in the new animation but just about everyone else I hate. The season 1 animation was one of many things that made Chaotic stand out.

Growing up I didn't understand understand how much of a cry baby Tom is. Any time something isn't going his way he gives up then his friends have to pick up the pieces and help him. Like stop crying and actively go out and get the scan for yourself does he think his friends picked up all there knowledge of chaotic just sitting on their butts. They all have connections except Tom because they want to be better and get better scans he wants them given to him. What a baby
Feels like a major plot hole when Tom Majors is making a huge deal out of losing Maxxor when he could have easily just rescanned the physical card (which he still has) and put it back in his deck. Even if there was possibly a rule which he cannot scan from the same card more than once, all he would really need to do is pull another copy from a booster pack and scan that instead. Am I the only one thinking this way?

@@WellsAtNight each card has a code at the bottom you put that code online and the card is added to their chaotic deck. In most cases codes are a one time thing so it's not that farfetched to think that applies in chaotic too. As for Tom looking for another copy in a pack, Maxxor is an ultra rare card so it would be difficult for him to get it that way as well as expensive. Tom also said he wants to scan Maxxor himself which was the reason he turned down the offer he got to get another one although at this point it seems Tom should go back and take that offer as he seems desperate at this point or it might just be stubborn nature preventing him from getting it any other way
@@cruz5531 His desperation comes off as inconsistent character development, which reinforces how bad the plothole is. He basically learned nothing from his previous adventures that basically spouted that he didn't NEED Maxxor to be the best at the game, and that he could still do well with other ace creatures.
This feels weird after having an episode where Tom learns the values of other tribes. I understand that Tom losing Maxxor and all, but feels like this somewhat invalidates the last episode.
It actually makes sense. Tom was pretty down after Tiaane, and then the whole event would've brought back memories of losing his Maxxor and he probably had another couple losses over it all between episodes we didn't see.
I low key feel bad for Clay xd he was sitting alone and overheard their conversation and went over and sat in Kaz's chair with Peyton only for him to do that! There was an official merchandise that included clear plastic Mugic Counters & scales (to keep track of changing Discipline values). They were only in trans blue & red, so Danians & Mipedians got nothing. I can't seem to find any imagines online; hopefully it wasn't in my imagination lol. I *do* remember thinking at the time (I was like 10) 'why would anybody buy that?' Ofc. now I wish I got them...

I was wondered how the chracters know what each card does when cards in the show don't show abilities, only stats and sometimes not even that. I guess we just have to assume that there is a guide book they read or something
I imagine it's like yugioh where the cards seem to have no writing on it, but has the description/effect when there's a close-up.

I've been thinking Tom could have entered the code on his Maxxor card to get his scan back. But then I thought, maybe code scanners have a security measure in place to prevent players from immediately recovering scans using duplicate codes. And maybe Tom could have just bought some packs hoping to pull a new Maxxor.
Tom already entered his Maxxor card's code into his online deck. Thats how he had it in Chaotic. And every card has it's own code. It can't be entered twice. That's why he can't enter his Maxxor card's code again and why he'd have to scan him in Perim. I can't imagine the amount of money he'd spend trying to pull ANOTHER Maxxor

What a good show
I forgot how much this series likes to jump from arcs to arcs per episode that it crontrodicts and forgets the previous episode(s). Like, Tom gained a character development from last episode when he learned about Mepedians and he became less of a racist and became more forgiving towards them and beat the xenophobic Overworlder player without Maxxor. Now he's regressed to "oh I can't beat anyone without Maxxor" like, what? That's like saying Yugi can't win without Dark Magician. Characters are literally telling him that "its not the creature, it's the player." He's a high schooler, right? He's supposed to be a young adult. Why not act like one? It's like everything beyond that point is just filler.
Yeah, this show can jump from story to story. Like when he got that Prexxor Chasm scan and never dealt with the problem till much later. They also shouldn't have been too surprised by time travel as they did it before.

I assume you're talking about Decomposition? Van Bloot is *not* terribly smart, just crafty. At this point he's already tried to take down Chaor (in ep. 11). Perhaps Chaor's increased his security?
Or maybe LVB is waiting for the 'scandal' to die down; maybe taking Maxxor out is his way of rehabilitating his image in the UW or get back in Chaor's good graces (by helping to defeat a common enemy).

True, but if I recall properly, Von Blut didn't fully know what the mugic did. Just that it would destroy Maxxor, and yeah he would probably want to use it on Chaor too, Maxxor is more of an enemy of the Underworld so it makes sense to target him first

Growing up I didn't understand understand how much of a cry baby Tom is. Any time something isn't going his way he gives up then his friends have to pick up the pieces and help him. Like stop crying and actively go out and get the scan for yourself does he think his friends picked up all there knowledge of chaotic just sitting on their butts. They all have connections except Tom because they want to be better and get better scans he wants them given to him. What a baby
Feels like a major plot hole when Tom Majors is making a huge deal out of losing Maxxor when he could have easily just rescanned the physical card (which he still has) and put it back in his deck. Even if there was possibly a rule which he cannot scan from the same card more than once, all he would really need to do is pull another copy from a booster pack and scan that instead.
Am I the only one thinking this way?
codes are a one time use and after losing the virtual version of the card, he cant rescan it as a new card unless its a totally different Maxxor card

@@WellsAtNight each card has a code at the bottom you put that code online and the card is added to their chaotic deck. In most cases codes are a one time thing so it's not that farfetched to think that applies in chaotic too. As for Tom looking for another copy in a pack, Maxxor is an ultra rare card so it would be difficult for him to get it that way as well as expensive. Tom also said he wants to scan Maxxor himself which was the reason he turned down the offer he got to get another one although at this point it seems Tom should go back and take that offer as he seems desperate at this point or it might just be stubborn nature preventing him from getting it any other way
@@cruz5531 His desperation comes off as inconsistent character development, which reinforces how bad the plothole is. He basically learned nothing from his previous adventures that basically spouted that he didn't NEED Maxxor to be the best at the game, and that he could still do well with other ace creatures.

This feels weird after having an episode where Tom learns the values of other tribes. I understand that Tom losing Maxxor and all, but feels like this somewhat invalidates the last episode.
It actually makes sense. Tom was pretty down after Tiaane, and then the whole event would've brought back memories of losing his Maxxor and he probably had another couple losses over it all between episodes we didn't see.
