Freddie's dream came true as he had the forsight to put this collaboration together. He was a genius and had the vision to put this together. This was an opening for other stars to do the same.
I'm sitting as a 50 year old man who has been a performer my whole life and who loved Freddie & Queen since I was 5 years old.... Thanks dad. I also love theater and opera So this performance Is a no brainer for me. But, I find my self sitting here With tears falling from my eyes Like I am best friends With them This truly moved me cause from each of them you could hear the sincerity and love about doing this And I can just feel how much This meant to Freddy And how he wound up with such a Great and loving and long lasting friendship & friend he had in Montsy. Those 2 were meant to be around each other. I feel that by agreeing to do this project she kept Freddy alive much longer.... I could Lie and say it has no effect on me But It's strange how music really moves everybody. Just the bond of friendship And love that This opera that Freddy wrote, Brought to, Not only them, but to the people of the world. Thank you Freddy, and thank you Montsy (RIP Both of you), For all the love and joy you brought To the world and it's people. God knows, We could you use some of that love now!! Thank you so much for this amazing vídeo. The first time I saw Montserrat was at Barcelona’s opera house Liceu in 1970 singing Norma I was so touched that I couldn’t believe what I had seen. Since that day I have seen all the operas and concerts Montserrat sung in the Liceu and Palau de la Musica and I have traveled to different opera houses to see her! She was a wonderful human being and I’m so proud that she was the ambassador of my city for decades! I must admit that for a while I was one of the snobs that only listened to opera and classic music but then a friend invited me to go to a Tina Turner concert and since then I have seen all the rock stars that performed in Barcelona, when Queen came to Barcelona in 1983/84 I obviously went to the concert and I felt in love with Freddie! God bless all the real artists that brought and always bring so much joy to our lives! I wish you a wonderful Year 2023!

WE were so lucky to be there part of this Cosmic play! I was 39 then and it blew my mind! WE forgot every thing about thé olympics then and traveled back on a cloud of deep happyness, a cloud of divine joy....🧚
RIP to two great legends in their genres. the cream of the crop. Nobody was better than these two giants. Whats very clear watching this is that this collaboration opened up a whole new world for both artists. It was probably the greatest experience each ever had musically cause it was fueled by pure admiration for each artist. Opera is a very elitist small world so Freddie brought her onto a much bigger world stage. This song is still how the world knows of her astounding talent. without it most of us would have never discovered that voice.

Finally have the chance to watch this documentary. Loving it! I still remember the song when it came out and the Olympics. I visited Barcelona a year later for the first time because of it.
I really like Freddie in such clean and neat look … so handsome is he .. so beautiful is his voice …when Freddie and Monserrat sing … they sing into and bring us into paradise!
Every time I see this performance it brings happy tears. I also hear something new in the arrangement. The use of backup singers on this album fascinates me because Freddie also did backup tracks. There is a female solo in several of the songs on this album. Was she part of the backup group or was it Freddie. Such awesome harmonies. We are so fortunate that Freddie and Montserrat found each other but so sad their collaboration was cut short. Thank you Freddie and Montsy for enriching our lives.

She heard he was very I'll, but she did a recording for him , called his place and spoke to Peter (Freddie's assistant) who told her to play the recording through the phone. She said that was in September, 1991 and that was the last time she spoke to him, he passed November 1991. Listening to her was so 😢😢😭.
