As a Mithridates, I can confirm this is the greatest Mithridates about Mithridates
.......
*Mithridates*
Mithridates: The Roman Republic's Greatest Enemy
Hannibal: Hold my beer.
In Adrienne Mayor's book on Mithridates she talks at length how Hannibal spent time in Anatolia and Mithridates would have likely been well educated in Hannibal's exploits and inspired by his defiance of Rome, especially considering Hannibal won a battle using poison snakes and eventually committed suicide with poison.
Joke dosent really work because Hannibal was first. Would work in reverse though 👍

Thank you so much for this. It was really awesome!! The cat in the background stole the show for me!! I kept having to go back because I kept looking at it. So sweet.
She's our baby. She's always got to be the center of attention. :D
Wait where is simon how long have i been gone for
Simon doesn’t do every channel anymore, this channel being one of them
He's busy managing the rest of the Whistlerverse. For Simon, though great, cannot be omnipresent. 😏
Simon and this channels owner when their own ways. The channels he still does are his the rest he was just a presenter. But this guy and Karl definitely aren’t Simon hardly watch them anymore I stick to Simon’s channels
😮@@claytonwoolfe
Simon takes the form of a background blurry cat
IT'S BACK! THANKS GUYS🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Welcome!
@@Biographics yay
If anyone's brutally obsessed with Hellenistic Era warfare and Rome's enemies I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series
A warm welcome back to the cat behind you 😍🐾🐈⬛
She is the new mascot. Your new kitty overlord!
@@Biographics I entirely accept this and my dogs are pushovers so they shall also 🙌
Hey Eric I really appreciate your voice, it’s really good for Biography n information telling.
Your Ariarathes and Mithridates nonsense was made ultra confusing by the fact that a person was laughing around me!! 😵😁
To be fair Lucullus did the majority of the work in the Third Mithridatic War! Lucius Licinius Lucullus, the conqueror of Mithridates and Tigranes, deserves a video now!! Lucius Aemilius Paulus Macedonicus and Marcus Claudius Marcellus should get a video as well!
Anyone who gets a life from Plutarch should get a life from biographics!
You realize RUclips offeres to translate what you wrote into English right? 😂
@@jjsc4396 Your point?
@@johnnysmall Certainly!! 💯
Eric: keep it going! You’re a great host. Great timing and a good narration voice
I try. Unfortunately, my allergies have been ****ing murder this year. But I'm getting into a good groove with these finally.
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁💯
Thank you! Will do!
Romes greatest enemy:
Mithriadates: yes!
Hannibal: hold my beer!
Rome herself: no! You two hold my beer.
Man, that really wasn't a good time period to be living in cappadocia
Crappadocia
Rock-sal-ani -Roxolani
Thank you. I could not find a guide for that one.
Karl with “K”!
I actually like him.
We love Karl.
Rome's greatest enemy after Hannibal! Suggestion for the next one: Constantine the Great ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are correct Hannibal was Rome’s greatest enemy
Hell Yes I would love to see one on him
Where is the other guy we didn’t want? I miss him…
One guy is busy, the other wasn't up to it. But this guy is MIGHTY! 😁
Karl is awesome. I love working with him.
RIP the guy who messed up
Wheres simon ?
Very informative indeed. Never heard so many new (wrong) pronunciations of historical places nor people.
Thanks for the good video 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
@@Biographics you're welcome everybody from the channel have a good weekend
Mithridates: The Roman Republic's Greatest Enemy.
Hannibal: Am I a joke to you?
Hi
I just went to Ramses the gold of pharaohs inSydney, Australia
It was amazing
Can you please talk about Ramses the second
Thanks
THERE IS A CAT IN THE BOOKSHELF OH MY GOD
Her name is Jade, and she is always looking for attention. Now that she's discovered fame, she often sits on that shelf waiting for the camera to be turned on her.
But I don’t want to play as Pontus!
Thanks again.
I'm a fan of this guy
Loved part 2 just as much as part 1 😂😅😊
I think I got it. 42, the answer is 42.
It's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything...but what IS the question?
@@Biographics i’ll get back to you, I got somebody else on the other line.
Wait, where’s Karl? Nothing personal but I like Karl!
While a danger, Hannibal will always be the greatest threat to threaten the Republic.
Eric! Giving Simon a break from having to do _another_ video on Rome. I'm guessing he saw this script, flipped over a table, and said, "NO!!" 😂😂 Always fun to see another member of TIFO hosting a vid 😊
*I know it's a re-upload, but I don't think I commented on the og vid (boost the algorithm!)
the only two groups that can make a claim to be "The Roman Republic's Greatest Enemy" are:
1. Hannibal/Hamilcar Barca
2. The Roman Republic itself
Mithridates might argue otherwise if he were here.
This is Rome’s greatest adversary not Hannibal or Versig Getrix or even Arminnius it’s why he is the Greatest
Slow down guy lol
@@MrBubblecake 😆 so in your opinion who is greatest enemy /adversary? Don’t say Spartacus 😂
I would surely put him 2nd after hannibal 3rd would be verson geterix
@@That1HotMF Nice even tho I favor him but he and Hannibal definitely top 2 , 3rd I’d have put Atilla
@@thecat5872 totally forgot about atilla tho ☠️
Im not as great on late roman history as i am on its early history but yeah atilla definitely up there!
Sertorius was a far greater threat who only fell to treachery and even beat Pompey a few times.
Mithridates VI, Carthage, Antiochus III, Perseus and Philip V and the Greeks, the Ancient Celts, and the Latin League, we're the Roman Republic's greatest enemies!! Yet, the noble Republic triumphed over them all!! 🛡️🗡️ #GloryToRome #GloryToEurope 🤎🤍🤎💙
Man so many cool sounding names
I thought Hannibal was Rome greatest enemy
What happened to Simon?
He's busy governing the rest of the Whistlerverse. 😏
He didn't actually own the channel. The old channel owner passed away and his daughter took it over.
Things happened which we don't know and Simon left.
I def miss Simon.
the real rock and roller
When is Karl coming back… I miss him and his lovable sidekick, Snoot the Anteater.
I think they commented in the last Geographics film that Karl is moving. So it might be a little bit before we see him again. I like both Karl and Eric. But, yes, Snoot is cool.
Who doesn't love Snoot? At the very least, I've got Jade.
No. Hannibal.
I am from Rhizus, now it is the capital of thee
That's awesome!
Your a good host.😊
*you’re
Not gonna lie, when I saw that, I was happy for the compliment...but part of me really wanted to correct him. lol
Just wondering where Karl is? I miss him…
Are you the new host?
Where is Simon?
Round 2.... FIGHT lol
oooh you guys break up with simon? did the new guy come at a discount rate?
Better mic,please.
It's a Blue Yeti. It's fine.
@@Biographics just echos. Not a hater
I agree. It’s not all that distracting and it can be way worse, but it has indeed a certain hollow sound to it.
I might put up some sound proofing foam, then. I didn't notice an echo when I did noise reduction, EQ, and compression, but I have noticed that sometimes when Jen's team renders, the sound gets weird and tinny.
Great kingdom and great skill in ruling it... But absolutely zero talent in naming their children.... Its like Mithridates and Ariarathes all over
Greatest? What is Hannibal a joke?
Where's simon
Eric old boy
Uhm he was the VI not the VII (9:06)
They probably used the wrong take...
Are you sure it's not POM-pey?
Yes. Most of the people featured in this video are Greek, so he would have used the Greek pronunciation. The place and the person are totally different.
You know the only reason i wanted yo watch this was because of a mutation in the game Grounded relating to poison but this was pretty educational thank you for covering this subject I had no idea who they were.
Loving your videos 👍
Ok like there are that many people who can say Pompey correctly. Why can’t you 😭😭😂😂
This is the Greek pronunciation. Congrats. You just learned something.
@@Biographics but why use the Greek term. Isn’t he Roman
No. The Pompey in this story is the Greek one. The city is different. Most of the people in this video are Greek, so they have Greek pronunciations.
@@Biographics ah ok. I thought you meant the Roman Pompey that was friends with Caesar
Ummm. Where’s Simon?
He died
@@michellemire8462 he owed me money!
Tell me WHY.
Ain't nothin' but a heartache
Woohoo!
Simon needs a break or I need a break from Simon. I like a British commentator as much as the rest of the world but… variety is the spice of life
Like the new host. Not a fan of the new bakground though.
mans making a vid about Rome but can’t read Roman numerals…
Alexander III did name a successor. His fucking son. 😂😂😂
His son was not born yet at the time of his death. Roxana was pregnant with Alex IV but there was obviously no way to tell if it would be a boy or not. Iirc that’s why he gave his signet ring to Perdiccas?
This was mentioned in the video.
Please do one on Joe Biden!!
He's not dead, though...we pretty much only do bios on dead people.
anyone else have no time for squarespace
God video 😊😊
Where is Simon? I ain’t watching this.
He died
@@michellemire8462 Real funny. Your comedy award is in the mail.
... like listening to grass grow.
So miss Simon hosting BioGraphics!!
Why on earth is ERIC THE HOST??? BRING BACK SMALLWOOD
Because Smallwood was less popular. 🤷
I'm a Brit, so am biased towards Simon and Karl. However Eric is more charismatic and easygoing, and Simon is just too busy.
Bro.. no offence to small wood but he ruins everyvideo he makes for me
correction everyvideo he hosts i know he doesnt write the storys
That's the most embarrassing pronunciation of Ptolemaic I've ever heard!
First!
You change hosts I change videos
Where is Simon. This guy sucks.
He died
No views in 24 seconds, bro fell off.
Your mom fell off
Either stop dying your hair or start dying your beard. Looks bizarre
I don't dye my hair. My beard has just grayed first. Stop making this assumption.
Ok however it happened it happened and I’m sorry for my assumptions. However, my point of it looking bizarre remains
@@rheinhardtgrafvonthiesenha8185 You watch the video to check out the presenter. That says way more about your bizarreness than it does his… Weirdo
