This was from a competition on January 26 in Grand Rapids Michigan! Kendall and Chloe had solos, and Mackenzie and Maddie had a duet. **Check out those on my channel!** Sorry for the poor lighting!

Can we all take some time to appreciate that Mackenzie can do an ariel on both the right and left sides? Amazing!!!
I know! I didn't know Mackenzie could do that until I watched her Take It To Go solo!

mackenzie was so good in this group dance and she kept up really well! i find it funny how in the begining when they were all partnered with someone she was with chloe, like shes the tallest one! lol

I love how paige has a lot of featured moments in this dance she really deserved them she did fantastic :) i thought everyone did well!
the thing i like about Kendall's solos is that she tries to be as accurate with the technique as possible, and don't get me wrong that is what you SHOULD do, but at the same time i feel like that leads her to dance rather slower than the beat, sometimes making her " off" . She is a really good dancer and i can definitely see a future for her but i think she should work on transitional work because i kept waiting for her to go into the next move. but otherwise she has greatly imrpoved!!GOOD JOB K

Usually the filmed dances from the same day- just later that day if they refilmed. Whoever said that there's a day long delay is wrong :)
Abby gave Brooke the week off to think about dance. She wasn't in this episode after pyramid

yeah, that was my friend. It was just really weird after always seeing them on tv to see them in person. In my eyes, (and I've been a dancer for 10 years) I honestly can't remember if this was the "best" but it did stand out as very clean, technically good, and overall a unique dance. So, yes, I do think they were scored fairly and deserved 1st.
I wish the show had aired the entire dance!! I have been searching for this for a hot minute. Paige killed it!! Paige, Chloe, and Kenzie killed this!! Abby was so adamant Kenzie not be in it, but she was awesome!! Love Paige as the lead!!

I loved this dance it was so well put they all were at their best however my eyes kept going to Paige because she was wonderful they were all so fantastic and together

I can't even tell Paige and Chloe apart! Lol they really are the twinnies! I have never seen Paige or Kenzie perform that well before! And they are and always were flawless dancers, but they really improved a LOT. This is fantastic, they all were spot on and they all had amazing technique!

Guys! The reason they don't show every dance is cuz they don't film every week. They make it seem like they do but if you listen on the show one time when Christi got in a fight with Kelly on the last episode then on the next one it had only been "one week" but Christi said "our fight 2 weeks ago"
I disagree with whoever said Mackenzie draws your eyes in a bad way. I think she looks adorable in the dance. How will she improve if she keeps doing the same Acro dance every week because Abby knows she will win. It's not all about winning, these kids actually just love to dance. Love the new choreographer... she was awesome!

yep! if you look at the bottom left corner at the very beginning of the video you can see a camera guy filming the moms. There were also some farther back filming the stage.

i like how Mckenzie is being treated more like a full member of the company like Maddie was when he was her age, rather than just a five second background dancer.
It was actually a really tiny competition...maybe like 10 studios..
My fav part was the beginning when the groups of 2 were rotating to each side of the stage
I love this dance!
I love how Paige was featured and in my opinion she really stood out in this dance. Chloe was amazing too and Mackenzie was full of sass. I think the reason everyone is mistaking Brooke for Nia is because of how amazing Nia's technique has gotten

I did notice that. But have you noticed before that MacKenzie and Nia are "left-footed"? They were doing those aerials in a direction unfamiliar to them. I give them total props for even being able to complete them "sometimes," so I can't fault her much for missing it once. :)

Brooke was on suspension for having left the studio, and Paige was let in first because Abby doesn't think Brooke "wants it"!

Yes, I can understand that. If you go to a competition then you want to deal with the competition and not the whole entourage that comes with a tv show. I understand that some competitions will not even allow them there. If I paid to see a competition I would want to see the whole thing. Being on tv just means you are on tv. It does not mean your school is the best.
Brooke's staying on the show for four seasons. She can't leave. She does compete with the older kids and Kenzie competes with the younger kids when they are not filming. I think Kenzie went to a competition all on her own (without these girls I mean lol) with the younger kids a few weeks ago. But they're not leaving the team.

No wonder Abby put Chloe in Paige in the front and center they have beautiful lines and long legs ! This number suits them cuz they want to be on broadway + they won 1st place with their duet. Wee, before ;)
The cameras were actually in the audience and at the bottom corners of the stage for this one!
omfg I'm sorry for commenting so much haha but I didn't see Nia in the dance, nevermind I now know she's there :)
@maddysinger1 she accidently used one hand and it just touched the ground and right after that she did her side aerial
You never know, you may find more talented dancers to follow. :)

Ya it is.I believe it episode 13 for the last episode for this season.
Mackenzie held her own but Paige would've been fabulous as the leader.
I know Paige was supposed to have the special part but Chloe stole the show in my opinion, she was fabulous!

I coulnt take my eyes off of Kenzie, and Abby couldnt have taken her out, she has a back tuck, and she is in the middle quite a bit throughout the dance!

yeah, as mush as i love kenzie and think she is amazing, she does draw your eyes in a worse way that paige draws your eyes in the dance, so im not saying its in a bad way, but i wouldnt say it was a good thing. i think all of the other girl exaggerate their movements and put everything into each move but kenzie is always just doing the moves as fast as she can and thinking to hard about whats next, thats just my opinion :)

It almost seems like Mackenzie is growing into Brooke's spot. Brooke has been competing with the teen company a bit and although Mackenzie is a lot more inexperienced and young, she has improved a lot and is one talented little girl. There's obviously going to be a day when the original competition is altered for good. I think that will consist of Brooke leaving to compete with the older ones and Mackenzie kind of stepping into her spot. Of course I don't know this for sure but its a possibility

Paige was the only one who did a perfect axle. Kenzie, maddie and kendall fell out. Nias feet werent piinted and chloe didnt bend her leg at all

without Brooke there those two would be the best acrobats in the team. Would make sense to give them the leads for a dance like this.

Do they often film the moms and backstage on competition day and then the girls the next day just for the show? I read that sometimes the footage we see of the girls dancing comes from the second day of filming their performances. I read that one of Mackenzie's earrings went flying during her duet with Maddie at this competition, but it never was seen because the footage shown was from the next day.

Honestly, if you want to go to a competition with Dance Moms girls you should at least stay for some of the other solos out of courtesy for other dancers. There are a lot of dancers that are better than them, as much as I love them, they aren't the best. People take these dance competitions seriously and I would be kind of annoyed and offended to have been dancing my whole life and go to a dance comp where it's supposed to be all about dance, and have it be all about the Dance Moms girls.
Brooke was benched from this competition.
