Hey mate, I recommend business/economics. But honestly I wouldn’t stress. If you go to uni and sure you want to study CIMA then I recommend an Accounting & Finance degree, but at A Level then I wouldn’t worry too much! Apprenticeships also a good route rather than university if you want to do that, ideally in a Finance function :)

That completely depends what you're goals are mate. It's a difficult decision but at top level, if you want to go into practice then do ACCA/ICAEW, if you want to go into industry then do CIMA. I'm in industry & did CIMA :)
Hey craigo, can u recommend a few tips for people pursuing CIMA from other countries, or a video about it would be cool.cus the syllabus background may match the one's in the uk but sometimes differ in many countries. And can u suggest some of the best countries which has high scope for cima graduates. Lastly,I'm a fan of urs from abroad! Explore and pls let me know some ideas. thanks!😀
Very tough as I have zero knowledge of other countries I’m afraid. All of my videos are from a British perspective & should give you a good idea of what to expect. UK, India, South Africa are three big countries for CIMA. Thank you so much for the support 😀
Why do you refer to yourself as a charteredd accountant when you are actually a Chartered Global Management Accountant. I'm from South Africa and our CA designation is from a different professional body to CIMA know as SAICA ( South African Institute of Chartered Accountants)
@@CRAIGO10 The reason why I was asking because I am currently busy with my undergraduate degree. I need to start thinking about a postgraduate qualification and I'm torn between CA and CGMA. In South Africa, the CA qualification is seen to be more superior than the CIMA qualification. That being said, the CIMA qualification seems to have more prospects outside South Africa which could be beneficial if I wanted to emigrate.
When did u started ur cima journey after 12th or graduation n have u gained practical work experience along side cima or planning to gain it later after qualifying all the exams
Hello, thanks for the interesting vid! I'm looking to do CIMA soon, starting at operational level.. but unsure which method of learning is best? What did you find worked for you?
Online live is great! And definitely recommend for the case study. For Objective test exams I preferred On Demand, but all depends whether you want to self study or have tutors. Self study is more flexible!

They wouldn’t stand a leg in court against me mate 👀😂 nice man! Good luck on the journey! Ops case study was the hardest of the three imo, so I’m sure you’ll smash it 😬
Any Finance or Accounting Undergrad/Masters Degree will set you up for CIMA. Or other pathways such as AAT in the UK is also another option you can do down.
I don't understand what you mean? Certificate level required to become a CGMA? Yes, unless you have exemptions which are aware by CIMA for past studies.

Hi Craigo! I am just started a Bsc accounting degree and will do my CIMA exams at the end of each year. I am currently looking for a new role where I could gain the 3 years work experience in order to apply for chartered accountant at the end of my degree. What roles would you recommend me to get into? I just have a 1 year of accounts payable experience. :)
Any role such as a Finance Analyst/Management Accounting would be sufficient. There really are no limits when it comes to PER.
Thanks for this.
Any time! I hope it was useful!
@@CRAIGO10 It was, have one paper to clear before the Scs. I feel really encouraged.
Great video! Liked as always 🔥
Appreciate it!
Thank you for this video!
I’m glad you enjoyed! Make sure you subscribe! I’ve got 4 big videos coming out in the next 2 weeks 😬 one later today at 2pm!
are you happy with your current job?
do you earn a decent salary?
Yes & yes, I want more though 🤣
Hey Craigo I was just wondering if there are specific a levels/ apprenticeships that you need to take to qualify for CIMA?
Hey mate, I recommend business/economics. But honestly I wouldn’t stress. If you go to uni and sure you want to study CIMA then I recommend an Accounting & Finance degree, but at A Level then I wouldn’t worry too much! Apprenticeships also a good route rather than university if you want to do that, ideally in a Finance function :)
@@CRAIGO10 thanks mate 🙌. I’m taking maths, business and economics which hopefully should give me a little advantage when doing my CIMA qualification 🙏
That’s the perfect trio for ALevels mate! Good luck! Having a solid understanding of mathematics is key for CIMA!
Hello Craigo. Can you give me recommendation about CIMA levels and
types? What about ACCA?And finally important differences between ACCA and CIMA?What is better in your opinion? Also can i take first ACCA then CIMA or it will take much time ?
Hey, have a look on my channel I have 2 videos comparing them. I personally wouldn’t recommend doing both, just find which one is best for you.
Thanks guy
Thanks buddy!
My pleasure!
Aye am new to your channel but am interested to be an accountant In United kingdom what the best qualification to do
That completely depends what you're goals are mate. It's a difficult decision but at top level, if you want to go into practice then do ACCA/ICAEW, if you want to go into industry then do CIMA. I'm in industry & did CIMA :)
Great content!
Thank you Dipesh!! I’m glad you enjoyed :)
@@CRAIGO10 I'm thinking of doing the CIMA course, just trying to get info at this stage. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
Nice mate! I thoroughly recommend! I'm 28 mate!
Me from Pakistan. CIMA is growing slow here but hope for better.
Why do you refer to yourself as a charteredd accountant when you are actually a Chartered Global Management Accountant. I'm from South Africa and our CA designation is from a different professional body to CIMA know as SAICA ( South African Institute of Chartered Accountants)
You're being picky here. Nothing more than laziness. Having to say Chartered Global Management Accountant everytime haha!
Think about what career you want. That should make it a pretty easy choice! 😃
Is MBA necessary for CIMA qualified
Not at all. It may get you a few more exemptions, but certainly not required!
@@CRAIGO10 thanks for your reply
now i'm in operational level cima. After completed cima i hope to do masters. it is better ? what type of degree do i?
When did u started ur cima journey after 12th or graduation n have u gained practical work experience along side cima or planning to gain it later after qualifying all the exams
In the UK, CIMA is top of the tree. CIMA > Masters, however I'm aware in other countries, it is different.
@@CRAIGO10 thank u.
@@ridhisingla9025 I'm started cima after my advanced level and I'm not get work experience yet.
@@KittyDiaries20 ok so how many exemptions u got
Thanks Craigo🙏🏿
Gotta help the CIMA community!!! More vids coming soon 😬
@@CRAIGO10 I am here for all of them.
Great! One was filmed today. It’ll be launched on Tuesday 😁
Sounds tough!
haha! It was mate!
First!
🥇
ICAEW could sue you for calling yourself chartered accountant... JK 😂... Chartered Management Accountant maybe... I myself am studying towards CIMA and have to attempt MCS and SCS
They wouldn’t stand a leg in court against me mate 👀😂 nice man! Good luck on the journey! Ops case study was the hardest of the three imo, so I’m sure you’ll smash it 😬
U going through CSEP pathway?
@@s4salman1 yes
IF YOUR MATH AND ACCOUNT IS NOT GOOD,..THEN TO U'LL GO FOR C.I/MA? @CARAIGO
I recommend brushing up on your maths skills before attempting CIMA!!
@@CRAIGO10 thank you so much.......sir
Should i go for finance?? To join .
C.I.M.A course..
Waiting for your reply....
Any Finance or Accounting Undergrad/Masters Degree will set you up for CIMA. Or other pathways such as AAT in the UK is also another option you can do down.
@@CRAIGO10 I just wanna say lots of thanks to you...you clear all my Quetions..about MY CHOICES.
Is certificate practice necessary for being called cgms??
I don't understand what you mean? Certificate level required to become a CGMA? Yes, unless you have exemptions which are aware by CIMA for past studies.
@@CRAIGO10 i meant that once we clear exams can we use CGMA prefix Or cant unless we get membership?
CGMA is only awarded on completion of exams and practical experience requirements.
