As a teen I always liked Tom Snyder,,,,even though there were a lot of people who couldn't stand him. They did a constant string of parodies about him on comedy shows. He was in a class of his own. He didn't copy ANYONE,,,,he was the real thing. He just seemed to be able to pull in really big stars to interview including John Lennon. RIP TOM SNYDER, An American Original.
I loved Tom Snyder Interviews as I went down the road driving. He had great guest and always ,always was a great interviewer . It was a sad day when He died and had to find on the radio which was always AM radio that would reach out and touch you until you got into the mountains and static would be the noise you would hear and then over the years you could time it to know what station you could pickup to catch the next talk show . Tom Snyder ,Art Bell , John Wells etc. It was always a different world to keep your eyes open and be entertained.
When Glen said he prayed to God to be delivered a chill went through me because I had the same thing happen to me when I was younger. Yes God is real I know from my own personal experience.
Great to see these two together. Tom Snyder did some of the best interviews on TV back then, ... Glen, of course, was one of the greatest entertainers of ANY century. he lived an amazing life. simply LOADED with talent and the energy and drive to make it happen.
One of the most talented individuals ever. So humble though. I really never knew how talented he was until now. People put down RUclips, but as for me, I am grateful.
He had a show in Kansas City Missouri a few years ago as his swan song and I missed it and I am sad. Love you Glen and peace be with you; we will see you in the New world. Peace.
Tom Snyder was bright, witty, sometimes a little goofy and an enthusiastic and insightful interviewer. I wish he was still with us but I imagine he's still at it in heaven interviewing Elvis, John Lennon, Louis Armstrong et al.
"Tomorrow on today, Today on tomorrow" always liked hearing Tom say this. I was in Burbank once listening to Tom live on the radio and Tom was at a local restaurant broadcasting his show. I said to my self I need to go see Tom Snyder, I could kick myself for not going.
I remember watching Tom Snyder with my Nanny when I was a young girl. He was one of a kind. I saw Glen Campbell at the State Fair in Arkansas. We were right beside them when they walked through the crowd. I actually saw Glen bend over and another person seemed to take his place as they left the stage. My Mom said it was one of his bodyguards.
Clips of Campbell and Lee Trevino in early Eighties playing celebrity golf round at Glenn Eagle course in Scotland - hilarious fellows... someone should repost
I’ve watched it several times. I was blessed enough to see him in concert many years ago after his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and he was great, but a little off. However, in this Sioux City concert he is flawless in his performance. He was one of the greatest musicians of all time...not just my opinion...other musicians were in awe of his talent.
Tom Snyder was the only talk show where he doesn't have his commercial breaks timed right (or directors, producers, whatever) to keep from blatantly interrupt his guests.
My deliverance came too, after much prayer and crying and absolute chaos! Praise the God of the Bible for setting me free!! Now I teach through the Bible a verse at a time on RUclips at: Faithful Word Ministries. The one with the open Bible. God's Word is my favorite Thing!!
I knew most of my life that my mother's family name was Campbell, so I visited Ireland a few years back and found our family crest -- Glen Campbell is related to me
The thing about tom snyder he could do an interview with dennis praeger or jesse ventura or roger ebert and bring out in the interview the brainy traits that made them successful where other interviewers were too frivolous or superficial. He was close to their level. Like the man said below i dont think any since he quit have this capability. I even think colbert misses.
Why do ppl get involved with drugs & alcohol?? Glen didn’t know what cocaine was?? This will ruin your life or end up dying too soon like Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison - I’m glad Glen best the devil!!!
It's what leads them to the drugs that is the problem more than the drugs themselves. Prescribed versions of the illegal versions of drugs like are showing themselves as far more of a problem than drugs like heroin & cocaine. But again, it's the situation and the culture, not the drugs that is the real problem. The "war on drugs" created a world of hurt, literally. America created the drug cartels, drug crime, and al drug related gang violence simply by creating a drug prohibition. It's a real, real shame. The lives and cultures that path has ruined. Generations of them.
To clarify what I mean think of what happened when alcohol prohibition ended. All organised crime, the violence and killing related to illegal alcohol production, the underground clubs, gangland murders etc etc all completely ceased overnight. Totally. That whole scenario switched to drugs when they were deemed illegal. The only reason we have drug related violence and crime today in ANY country is because it's illegal. And America demanded it of America and then also of rest of the world. Yes, no other country had drug prohibition before the USA demanded it of it's trading partners.
And today, less than 4% of drug related crime is from the effects of the drugs themselves and even the majority of that is relatively petty crime. 96% of the crime is from "industry" of drug supply.
He would have stayed in Delight and the world would have never experienced the greatest guitar talent and singer of his generation or possibley any generation. RIP Glen Campbell

He should listen more
He's too hyped
I feel the same. He asked things that I would ask.

Yes indeed , Glen and Tom are loved and sorely missed ! !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🍺
Tom Snyder has always been a class act. He was great. I really liked Glen Campbell as well.
Thank you Lord for saving him. RIP Glen. You really to this day still give me chills when I hear your playing.
When Glen said he prayed to God to be delivered a chill went through me because I had the same thing happen to me when I was younger. Yes God is real I know from my own personal experience.

What a great guitarist! Glad he was smart enough to see himself through the tough days
RIP to both these gentlemen.
One of the most talented individuals ever. So humble though. I really never knew how talented he was until now. People put down RUclips, but as for me, I am grateful.
Same. It wasn't until Prince of all people praised him. Until then he was a rhinestone cowboy. But he is much more than that.

Oh yeah. Watched his interviews all the time! My God, we have NO decent talk show or interview hosts anymore!!! Total crap nowadays 😡!
As if. . .
irishwench333 😆😆😆
What a beautiful gracious man. Always have been a fan. Very much missed.❤️
When he punched out Tanya's front teeth as well ?
Southern nights one of my favourite songs rip Glenn campbell😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
Masterclass musician, guitarist, entertainer and singer
👑⭐️🎸💎
Great book
Love my home state Glen. Drove deep into the southern Arkansas piney woods to his old home and family gravesite.
RIP Glen and Tom.
"Tomorrow on today, Today on tomorrow" always liked hearing Tom say this. I was in Burbank once listening to Tom live on the radio and Tom was at a local restaurant broadcasting his show. I said to my self I need to go see Tom Snyder, I could kick myself for not going.
I loved Tom’s show. He and Dick Cavett were my favorite talk show hosts in the 70s.
As good a musician as Glen was I admire his being a humble, likable man.
When I saw the beard come along in teh 70's, I knew something was different.
Tom Snyder's interview with KISS was the best and so very funny!!
No one in TV history ran an interview as well as Tom Snyder.
glen is the best
He was such a huge star where I lived!! Nice guy
He has always been tops in My list.!

Great interview
If you would like to see MR Campbell at the top of his game google Sioux City concert-Glen Campbell.
I picked up an autographed CD from this PBS concert at a thrift store.. His daughter Debbie performed and also sign.
Tom Snyder was the only talk show where he doesn't have his commercial breaks timed right (or directors, producers, whatever) to keep from blatantly interrupt his guests.
Had 2 beers after TV finished for the night? I CERTAINLY HOPE SO.
The theater that he mentions at the end of this video was torn down this summer (2017)
Sad indeed. And yes, thanks. Nothing seems to be built with longevity in mind anymore.
Whether it's buildings, cars, or even refrigerators.
I saw him there at Branson. He was awesome.
Tom Snyder was the only thing to watch at 1am when I was babysitting in the 70’s
Top man, Mr. Glen Campbell.
The only problem with this interview is that it was too damn short.
Glen Campbell & Tom Snyder, both legends who died too soon ....
..great natural talent..
A great musician, entertainer, and person.
Loved both of them!
My deliverance came too, after much prayer and crying and absolute chaos! Praise the God of the Bible for setting me free!!

Both gone too soon, big fan of both...
I miss Glen Campbell
Tom got through the whole thing without mentioning Alice, which surprises me.
A hell of host
I wish Tom would have done Akroid doing Tom. Despite the comments, I have always admired Campbell; he's a musician, not a minister.
At least he could have done aykroyds snyder laugh. Aykroyd wasnt rich little but that laugh was very memorable.

I’m a big believer that if folks had a hobby (that they loved), they’d get addicted to yarn or woodworking or quilting or …
@@NolongeraPissedoffAmerican1159 He did. He loved golfing.
He was more interesting in the Tom Snyder interview with Tanya. Loved them together.
I did too!! I know they had alot of wild times but they were a wild couple!!! And, I live them both!!
Glen campbell laugh
He loves to interrupt. He talked more than Glen
I use to watch Snyder but when he insulted ALI., hs lost a lot of fans.... He hasn't always been a class act
.....
He would still be with us if he had stayed in Delight
He would have stayed in Delight and the world would have never experienced the greatest guitar talent and singer of his generation or possibley any generation. RIP Glen Campbell
No Glen.
BB saved it.
Paul has always been great.
Dave is obnoxiously not funny, always has been.
Southern nights one of my favourite songs rip Glenn campbell😁🇨🇦🇨🇦
