Sable Craft sorry to hear that. But trust me when I tell you that the 80s weren't all that great. MTV was better but other than that it wasn't that great. Love this song tho.
Sable Craft Dearest Sable Craft: If you feel alone, it can serve you, if you learn the great truth of life which is pure love of God which beckons to each soul, though not all listen, or seek it.
I happened to run into this song by accident and it had me listening to it over and over again. This song is very soothing and romantic. Beautiful song ...
This song drifted across the airwaves the other night and I thought WTF! why has it been a decade since Ive heard this? So underrated. So 80s. One of the most fantastic things about song is the ability to not have heard a particular track for a long time and despite it's timelessness and being stationary, it's LYRICS speak to a part of your spirit that they never have before. The character building I've endured throughout my existential crisis and pending divorce made for an even fonder appreciation for one of life's quintessential therapies: MUSIC.
1987. Cutting Crew is a three hit wonder with their three songs, all in 1987. Their first song went to number 1 with (I Just) Died In My Arms in the spring of 1987, their 2nd tune is a Top 10 is One For The Mockingbird, and their 3rd and last song, which is also the Top 10 tune, I've Been In Love Before in the fall of 1987. Did Cutting Crew have more songs in 1988 and 1989?
They had another good album titled "The Scattering" in 1989. My favorite song in that album is "Reach for The Sky". Still, I believe that Broadcast was their best work.
Where has the time went... Hardest part is when your in it... ✌️ From a little town in the NC Mountains... Yes I'm a hillbilly with a soft heart ❤️❤️❤️
Re-Heard this song sitting in a casino in OKC today for a business meeting, and was instantly transported back to being a child playing with GIJoes in my living room. My older brothers rocked John Waite and CC a lot, but I didn’t realized I loved this song until today when I heard it as an appreciative adult.
The late 60s, the 70s, and the 80s were it for me. 16 late 60s thru age 36 in 89. All those years had great music, great times, great friends, great memories. This song is one that stands out. I'd go back if I could.
I am so happy and blessed to have been there and to have lived during those times fabulous great music which had meaning and feeling from the heart and soul unlike today's music
this version is the best version hands down. the intro alone makes my heart stop and I am in a daze and my mind travels back in time when I was a teenager in love in the 80s.
This is truly one of my favorite songs. The melody and guitar riffs are amazing! The song takes me way back in the day ........ I've been in love before, I've been in love beforeeee..........! Oh I just love this song !!!!😊😊😊😊
Still a brilliantly written pop song from back when that ,still hurts to listen to in some ways but I've been binge watching/listening so it hurts less .What I'd give to have written a song this good.
The 12 string acoustic in the background is magical. I play this song on the 12 string and it's a head turner as everyone immediately recognises the song.
this song made me remember....I was relaxing on Saturday afternoon in my living room......after a hard week on campus...was attending Rochester Inst of Technology at that time....1989.
Nick Van Eede: lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards Kevin Scott MacMichael: backing vocals, lead guitar, E-mu Emulator Colin Farley: bass, piano, backing vocals Martin Beedle: drums, percussion, backing vocals
...the hardest part is when love is "over" cuz it never really is. It's something nothing can kill. but I have to keep moving...while it evolves higher and higher by it's own will. that's what haunting is. will I ever forget? slowly less fear is the best I can do. too slowly not to hurt me so I don't hurt you? all the others
You know it's good when you turn to mush reflection is mesmerizing uplifting a really harsh reality the truth the depth of love when it's pure and raw I want to feel that again....don't let life beat you into submission go into each day being in love start with yourself and share that warmth
Ok wheres my '89 IROC-Z Camaro, my g-friend Nicole and the stars and moon above while this plays on the cassette while driving down the road together hand in hand? Sigh...

This is one of the greatest guitar solo in the 80s
Agreed. Where Eddie Van Halen now?
Played on Robert Plants "Fate of Nations"...my fave ever album...which was mostly down to the late Kevin McMichael.
The most beautiful song ever recorded IMO. The outtro is exquisite.
80's was the best
80's songs are the BEST!
This is my favorite version because of the beautiful beginning.
I am 18. Been listening to 80's music since I was 13. So much beautiful music makes me wish I was in that world. I feel so alone. So alone.
Aww well, you're not alone, Sable. :) Besides, you have wonderful taste in music!
Sable Craft sorry to hear that. But trust me when I tell you that the 80s weren't all that great. MTV was better but other than that it wasn't that great. Love this song tho.
Well said, I feel the same as you.
Sable Craft Dearest Sable Craft: If you feel alone, it can serve you, if you learn the great truth of life which is pure love of God which beckons to each soul, though not all listen, or seek it.
I love this music ❤
80s decade was so romantic, cool, mysterious, sensual, sexy, REAL! Please let these times roll again! Bring back the eighties!
I happened to run into this song by accident and it had me listening to it over and over again. This song is very soothing and romantic. Beautiful song ...
Kevin Macmichael ( R.I.P.) ohhh my God...what a sound of that guitar!!! 80s the best.
That guitar sounds so melancholy❤❤
This song was a big part of my life in the 80s....❤
I've just rediscovered this song, and the beauty of it almost moves me to tears. How could I have ever forgotten?!
I can't listen to it much. It makes me too weepy.
Annette Davis me too out of nowhere I started listening to it just has something special to it..

Absolutely awesome! The 80s were king!
Essa guitarra é sensacional me faz voltar várias vezes para ouvi-la e continuar sonhando.
Best ballad song ever...Kevin MacMichael' s guitar brings so many feelings to your heart and soul.
This song is so beautiful....reminds me of my younger days.
BoZiffer me too
my childhood and first love
Never I stood why Cutting Crew is considered a one hit wonder when this song also made it into the Top 10 charts as well as I Just Die in Your Arms
They most likely kept their soul 😊 & a good ting and songs like this is timeless and rare.....

if you got back it would look different because you're now different...
80;s best music.
Broadcast is a great album. I'm 59 and my eight year old son loves this song and most of the others on this work of art. Music is everlasting.
Nostalgia is the word; don't tell it doesn't make you want to go back for some time. Be blessed!
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
I am so happy and blessed to have been there and to have lived during those times fabulous great music which had meaning and feeling from the heart and soul unlike today's music
One of the BEST SONGS of ALL TIME!!!!!
this version is the best version hands down. the intro alone makes my heart stop and I am in a daze and my mind travels back in time when I was a teenager in love in the 80s.
I love this song ; I like good sentimental rock and older pop rock . It makes you feel alive .
This is truly one of my favorite songs. The melody and guitar riffs are amazing! The song takes me way back in the day ........ I've been in love before, I've been in love beforeeee..........! Oh I just love this song !!!!😊😊😊😊

What a great song. I had forgotten just how great it is. This is one of very few tracks that I can listen to over and over.
The 12 string acoustic in the background is magical. I play this song on the 12 string and it's a head turner as everyone immediately recognises the song.
Great tune that I forgot about till I heard it on the radio the other night. I now have it in my top 10 play list. Thanks for posting.
80's songs never die 💜🎧🎵
Take me back to the 1980s.
the greatest music produced in the 80's bands no doubt.

Nice long version of this song, and I'm glad that they included the words to this song.

The line should read "hits you in a minute/then you know you're in it..."
Hairmetallurgist -so your a song writer with no money or band?
He was correcting the lyrics that appear on the screen. They are incorrect. Hairmetallurgist is correct.
Hairmetallurgist Yep. Not “it’s you & admit it”.
Wow and all this time I myself thought the line went"its you admit it"
Classic mis heard lyrics made me laugh as I read it singing along.
