Zack, the cellular service is an annual fee of $49.99. The cell phone number is generated when the product is activated on Verizon's 4g network. If you do not get good cell service from your sump pump, we recommend our extension antenna that connects to the PumpAlarm and is mounted above the unit to increase the signal strength.
What if I want to simply use it as an alarm without the text / cell part? It keeps beeping five times which the manual says is a cellular error. I just want it to beep when the water level sensor is triggered. With it beeping due to cellular error I can't sleep with it near me.
